Ok, so I know that to file the I-129f there is a $455 dollar filing fee attached to that, but I was just wondering, what other filing costs should I start saving for now so that I will not get hit blind sided with an expensive fee, that could delay my being able to send the next piece of paperwork? Just wondering is $455 the only amount I will ever have to pay, or what are the actual fees I will be needing to pay over time until my fiance arrives here, we are married and she has permanent resident status? Just trying to plan ahead as much as possible, and start saving if I know what is ahead of me....about to file the I-129f soon... :)

Thanks in advance for any and all help! :)

I know there is a fee your fiance will have to pay for the interview plus the medical exam fees. Then you need to take into consideration once approved you will have to pay for airline tickets to get them here in the US and then once here and married you have to pay $1010 I believe to do the Adjustment of Status within 90 days of your marriage which will give her if approved a 2 yr temp green card and after about 20 months of her having that card you will have to pay an amount for her to remove conditions and get her 10 yr green card and after she has been here for 3 or 4 years I believe if she wants to become a USC you will hve to pay the fee for that too. It is a never ending amount of fees you will have to pay so I guess you should save every penny you can!! Best of Luck in the process!!1

Plus postage/FedEx and photocopying (with evidence attachments, mine was an inch thick) charges for the USCIS filings, translations of foreign-language documents, requests for certified copies, travel to see your fiancee while she's waiting for that K-1, cost of being away from work, maybe a trip to a lawyer to get some special question answered. We spent a few thousand dollars on top of the USCIS filing fees to get through this past two years.

You do need a certified copy of your marriage certificate for AOS.

And certified copies of any divorce decrees (if any) - for the K1 process, that is.

Oh, but you forgot the most important thing.....the cost of bringing all of her family and aunts and uncles and nieces, nephews, grandma and grandpa, neighbors, relatives she didn't know she had to their new life in the USA and they will all want to live with YOU in YOUR house so tack on the

additional expense of either buying a HUGE house or paying to add on lots of room to whatever house you have!!! Then the added utilities, food, clothing for them since they won't have jobs. Good luck!!!! :bonk::rofl:

How much money do you have? ALL of it.

Once the paperwork is complete and all the fees paid and all the government hacks are staisfied...you will have a new wife that needs to replace all the things she left behind, your utilities will double, your food bills will double (at least) and every dollar you make will be consumed by the family. Welcome to life in the USA.

Be happy. When you are HAPPY using all your money for your family, you will always be happy.

The fees for the K-1 and the AOS and the Removal of Conditions and the Citizenship and the education, drivers license, medical expenses, insurance....ALL of it, is but a tiny down payment on a life of bliss. Enjoy it every day! It conitnues for decades, children multiply expenses many fold, then they have children. It will end when you die.

Between now and then, enjoy every moment. When the most enjoyable thing you vcan do with your money is to buy your son a new pair of "cool shoes" you will have arrived in everlasting happiness.

Thank you, Gary. Very well put. With the arrival of our daughter from China on Sept.8, and projected arrival of our baby daughter from the womb on Oct.8, I am about to enter said bliss. I am and will continue to enjoy every minute of this blessing of life. This journey has seemingly taken every penny I make, but to have the most wonderful wife and family in the world is truly priceless.
