Ok, so I know that to file the I-129f there is a $455 dollar filing fee attached to that, but I was just wondering, what other filing costs should I start saving for now so that I will not get hit blind sided with an expensive fee, that could delay my being able to send the next piece of paperwork? Just wondering is $455 the only amount I will ever have to pay, or what are the actual fees I will be needing to pay over time until my fiance arrives here, we are married and she has permanent resident status? Just trying to plan ahead as much as possible, and start saving if I know what is ahead of me....about to file the I-129f soon... :)

Thanks in advance for any and all help! :)

the $350 visa fee will be paid when you have set up an appointment for your fiancee's interview...so that's going to be after your petition is approved [NOA2].

the medical appointment should be done a week before the interview.

The fee for the Adjustment of Status (after you have been married) is $1010 right now, and if you file for the Employment Authorization and the Advanced Parole at the same time as the Adjustment of Status you don't have to pay extra fees for those two forms.

NOA2: 01-20-2011 (OMG! that darn dot finally moved!!!! just under 5 months later...)

Packet 3 sent by embassy: 02-03-2011 (received hard copy 02-11)

Packet 3 returned to embassy: 02-10-2011 (logged by embassy 2-24)

It will be over $2000 in total. Plus you have to add in extra costs of plane tickets and hotel stays, if needed. Also, the medical exam before the interview.

Check this post. It has good info about the K-1 overall fees. http://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/258724-k-1-fees/

is that a typo? $1010! for adjust status? one thousand! why on earth is it so much?

how i wish its just a typo error,,but then its not..and i also don't know WHY is it soo expensive..

$1,010 ($930 plus a biometrics fee of $80...you can actually double check in the USCIS website..

and of course , no additional fee is required to also file an application for employment authorization on Form I-765 and/or advance parole on Form I-131...

Don't forget the fees needed when Adjusting of Status, and when applying for EAD and/or AP too. Not sure how much those are.

$1010.00
