I have not had a touch/news since march.

AOS Approved on 10-17-08 (details in profile)

In this tedious process, we tend to forget that this is all worth it.

I love my hubby beyond anything in this world.

Some people seem to get a lot of touches, others not so much.

My I-765 was touched after my biometrics, after the card was sent out, and got a final touch some time after I received the card. My I-485 didn't get any touch or update at all from Feb. until mid April around the time I got the interview letter and didn't update or change again til I got my "card production ordered" email the other day.

Periods of silence in between updates seem pretty common, and while I know how nerve wracking it is to wait and hear nothing, try not to drive yourself insane with worry. :)

AOS/EAD/I-130

Feb 18th, 2008-Paperwork mailed by laywer.

May 6th, 2008-Touch on I-765

May 8th, 2008-Approval notice sent for I-765

May 9th, 2008-Received EAD card in mail.

May 17th, 2008-Another touch on EAD (?)

May 21st, 2008-Interview date.

June 9th, 2008-Card production ordered and I-130 finally showing up online.

Take it easy before you give yourself a heart attack. :P

There's no need to panic. I can understand wanting to speed things up during the k-1 process so you can re-unite with your loved one, but now you're together.

My wife and I got married about 2.5 weeks ago. We have slowly been getting the paperwork together for AOS, but we're not really in any hurry. Once we send it out, we'll probably not check on it until we get something from USCIS about the interview, or biometrics, or whatever. I simply don't care if it takes 6 months or 6 years to be honest with you. My wife is with me and that's all we care about.

After the Biometrics, only you receive a RFE you pretty much won't get anything until the AP and EAD are approved (if you applied for it). After that it's silence (again unless RFE) until the interview or transfer notice.

The time it takes for the AOS varies depending on your local office. Check some here http://www.visajourney.com/timeline/aosstats.php?cfl=

and go on the USCIS website as well for processing times https://egov.uscis.gov/cris/jsps/ptimes.jsp.

Chill, it can be lenghty with some offices.

I just now got something after 9 months of absolute nothing.

09.18.09-10.03.09: First trip to France with Hubby

Congratulations Cecy-- I've read some of your posts and noticed you're a bit of a USCIS veteran (if not as much as some other VJers). Best of luck with the interview!!

Thanks,

I am far from being a veteran here though; I"ve only been on VJ for a year and a half or so. Some people have been here for 3, 4 years or more... ANd I am far from knowing everything they know.

I'll take any luck given for the interview, I'm not too worried about it yet, but I know I'll be stressing once it comes even though I'll probably bring a mountain of things with us.

MSC# on back of check doesn't match MSC# on NOA.

01/31/08 Still no news for wife. All three numbers still come up red on-line.

02/26/08 Called USCIS 800 number. Very friendly and helpful individual and supervisor.

Found out correct MSC numbers. Also found out that we missed the Bio!
