Did my Biometrics today. The Atlanta center has changed locations and the new place is nice. Aside a false alarm with a potential fire situation, where they had to evacuate the premises for about half an hour, everything was smooth sailing! Now to the long wait...

did you not read the damn instructions on the form? how can you not take this seriously enough? it said copy of your card. Good luck traveling without your soon to be expired green card.

Hey everyone

i was wondering when u take ur 1 year letter extension to renew the driving license do they renew the driving license for up to 1 year only or for more than 1 year ? 

And for the restrictions Area in the driving license did they put none on ur renewed driving license or they have put restriction ( 9 ) again

Mine was renewed for 7 years and 2 months and another Virginia resident got only for one year. I have ''NONE'' in restriction field. Who knows what you will you get. Seems like they are very inconsistent in this matter.

Hey, I am in Maryland too. I renewed my Driver's license in 2015 for 6 years, without any restriction, and that was with my conditional GC. I believe MVA usually gives you a DL that valid for at least 5 years for a PR.

I went to DMV on  6306 Grovedale Dr, Franconia, VA 22310. The lady took my letter, green card and old drivers license and scanned it to Richmond HQ. She asked if I have time to wait as they need to review it. After an hour I was called and told that I was approved for 8 years drivers license. The manager/ supervisor was very surprised as they normally issue only for one year with the extension letter.

Weguygal went to the same location few days before me and they couldn't verify his wife and needed additional time. A couple of days later they went to another locations and his wife was approved for a one year drivers license.

I wish I could give you some tips but I don't know their secret :)

We were in and out in about 10 minutes. Now on to the long wait..

Hi everybody,

 

So I went yesterday and walked-in for the biometric, they had no problem what’s so ever. I was out of there in like 15 minutes maximum.
