For you with informed delivery..... How long did it take for it to show that the card was on its way to you? I got an e-mail on Friday that my GC has been sent to me but it still doesn't show on my USPS informed delivery.

I haven't done it yet but as far as I know, you apply the same way as the first time. You fill out an I-765 and a I-131 and send it in with all the necessary documents. It doesn't cost anything since your I-485 is still pending. The earliest you can apply for renewal is 180 days before your current one expires. I will send mine exactly at 180 days because it can take the same amount of time as the first time to get your new card.

Hi again! I sent my Work Permit and Advance Parole forms around 2 weeks ago. I got a text 2 days ago that my advance parole petition was received but no news from the work permit and i am worried it might have got lost or something (they were sent together) :(

Can anyone confirm this? Mine is expired now, but obviously not when I applied for my greencard. I do not want to have to do all of that medical stuff again.

I checked with an immigration lawyer, who says she has had people with a K1-AOS asked for a new medical, and others not. It depends on the officer going through it, whether or not they know the rules.

I had a recent appointment to get a new medical done, and I decided to cancel it because the costs are very high for a bit of certainty and a large possibility of not having to do it. I would rather have to do it afterwards than do it for no reason. I would have to pay 500-750 dollars.

I will bring the rules, but I will not argue with them if they still insist I need a new one.
