AUGUST 2017 AOS Fillers (merged)

Now that it seems our August filers has been receiving their combo cards, any one has any update on their interview schedules? Our status say “Ready to be scheduled” since October and still waiting  just want to know if theres movement in the backend still.

We had our interview today in Columbus. It felt like it went really well, but I was disappointed to get a notice at the end saying that the case was being held for further review. I really hope that there's not a problem... we've done everything right so far, and we gave them some very clear and bonafide evidence that we were in a committed relationship (life insurance benefitting each other, joint health insurance, joint savings for a house etc). I'll just be over here worrying and stressing about it until I hear any more news...

 

Anyway, I'm not going to complain too much because I know we're very lucky to have had our interview already. I just needed a space to vent to people who are potentially in the same boat and know how frustrating all this stuff is!

To anybody who had the interview date scheduled, did you recieve the notice through snail mail? We already received our combo card but haven't heard anything back since the case was updated to "ready to be scheduled for interview" for a month and a half

I am wondering if those of you that received their Green Card or had their interview scheduled, did your status changed in the system? I know mine didn't update at all for the EAD/AP, I am just curious if it is for everything in USCIS atm, or Green Cards have no problem with the status update.

 

I really want to get over with this waiting...

I'm going through the same process as you. Its been 78 days since "ready to be scheduled for an interview".. I need to see some light here...

My case just updated to "case is ready to be scheduled for interview"... I was wondering how long of a time one has to wait for it to change to the interview date. My local office is Dallas, TX.

Hey guys, so it's been a while since I posted. I thought I'd check in with an update. So I've got my Interview on Feb 15th Nervous but I'm sure it'll be fine. Just seeing some of your posts. My status never changed to ready to be Scheduled. It went straight from recieved further evidence screen to your interview has been scheduled. I have my fingers crossed for those of you who haven't recieved your EAD's yet. Hang in there, the wait is almost over ✌

So, I had some drama with my AOS, but it seems to have finally been taken care of. Long story short, they lost my medical results from the consulate in England. Not sure if it happen after my POE check, or in the field office, but it happened. So I had to get a whole new medical done per the RFE that I got after my green card interview. I did that and mailed everything to the field office, and then 24 hours later had a call from the civil surgeon... they had filled in an old edition of the I-693, which would result in a rejection. So I had to race over to the doctor and get the right paperwork, make an infopass appointment in the field office, and just hope that I had beat the mail. I guess I did, because my status updated last night to my card being in production! Such a relief, and I'm feeling very fortunate to have everything done in a relatively short space of time.

Hi everyone! Finally had my status change for my I-485 (never changed from "received fingerprint fee")... We called them last week and they said I was still within normal processing time, and surprise! The next week we had an update.

Our interview is quite far off, though, probably because my USCIS office (El Paso, TX) is busy...? Our AOS interview is in April. I'm not sure how to proceed, because I submitted the package with a then-valid DS 3025, which expired last December. The I-693 instructions say that if you file before the DS 3025 expires, it should still be okay. Not sure if it's better to just bite the bullet and get another medical done, even if I'm pregnant?

Can anyone tell me whats the best number to call to inquiry for AOS interview inquiry and under what category.. im seeing a lot of interviews for Aug filers and want to make sure im not missing any mail from my move (filed a change of address) and Im not seeing any updates on the website. Thanks in advance!

Everything looks quiet here. I am wondering if anyone has done their interview recently?  My service office is in CT and the website says they're working currently in files of February 1st. So long wait for me (August filer). I would love to hear good news from you. I am also wondering if the interview is gonna be hard or what should I prepare (documents) for it?

Same experience but we are in SF. They are currently on Jan 2017. My husband is a Aug 2017 filer. Also, I read around that he should get a new medical as his old was has expired and not even an interview date was set yet...

The medical expires one year after it was done. Mine was done in July for the k1 interview. I'm crossingmy fingers to get the interview before that cause the prices for it in the US are high.
