I've read the comments posted here and I must say this:

Older women/younger men is becoming quite common. I've been involved in those types relationships as well as my friends. 2 of my best friends are married/engaged to younger men (6+ years)

I dislike the word cougar immensely because in these afore mentioned situations the women were NOT the aggressor as the term cougar implies. While I agree some women do go after boy toys. These young men are relentless.

Age has nothing to do with it....it depends on ur position in life and personality. As long as ur on the same page in life regarding career, children, wants, desires, goals...it can work very well. Are u young at heart? Do u still like spontaneity and adventure? So it really boils down to that if the relationship works or not....not how big the age gap is.

My personal experience...older men bore me, younger men always tell me that young girls are promiscuous, play games, do not know what they want. Granted I look much younger than my age but it's all about how u feel. JUST my experience!

To each their own but the least of Dani & Mo's problems is their age difference.

You are my new favorite person on here. Basically yep. I wouldn't qualify as a "cougar" in any sense (not "old enough" apparently, whatever that means) and not really the perusing type ever. This all just kind of...happened. We line up very well on the big life issues (goals, plans, kids etc)...some areas are a perfect click, and some there's some differences to work out (not major and none are deal-breakers for either of us, but it would be nice to get on the same page before taking any big steps....all in time).

And a big plus for any younger person (particularly someone in their early/mid 20s) dating any older person (gender really doesn't matter much here), is that the older person usually has their stuff figured out a LOT better than the younger person's peers. And some younger people are just ready to stop it with the games and drama that can often come with dating in your 20s and go for someone with a plan. I always dated older--always! Not on purpose but that's just who made sense to me. Until now, where I find someone who gives me that same sense of shared purpose and goal, and lack of drama but in a much stronger relationship. Yay!

Marriage/ AOS Timeline:

23 Dec 2015: Legal marriage

23 Jan 2016: Wedding!

23 Jan 2016: "Blizzard of the Century", wedding canceled/rescheduled (thank goodness we were legally married first or we'd have had a big problem!) :sleepy:

24 Jan 2016: Small "civil ceremony" with friends and family who were snowed in with us. December was a bit of a secret and people had traveled internationally and knew we *had* to get married that weekend, and our December legal marriage was nothing but signing a piece of paper at our priest's kitchen table, without any sort of vows etc so this was actually a very special (if not legally significant) day. (L)

16 Apr 2016: Filed for AOS and EAD/AP (We delayed a bit-- no big rush, enjoying the USCIS break)

23 Apr 2016: Wedding! Finally! :luv:

27 Apr 2016: Electronic NOA1 for all 3 :dancing:
29 Apr 2016: NOA1 Hardcopy for all 3
29 Jul 2016: Online service request for late EAD (Day 104)
29 Jul 2016: EAD/AP Approved ~3 hours after online service request
04 Aug 2016: RFE for Green Card (requested medicals/ vaccination record. They already have it). :ranting:
05 Aug 2016: EAD/AP Combo Card arrived! (Day 111)
08 Aug 2016: Congressional constituent request to get guidance on the RFE. Hoping they see they have the form and approve!

K-1 Visa Timeline:

PLEASE NOTE. This timeline was during the period of time when TSC was working on I-129fs and had a huge backlog. The average processing time was 210+ days. This is in no way predictive of your own timeline if you filed during or after April 2015, unless CSC develops a backlog. A backlog is anything above the 5-month goal time listed on USCIS's site

14 Feb 2015: Mailed I-129f to Dallas Lockbox. (L) (Most expensive Valentine's card I've ever sent!)

17 Feb 2015: NOA1 "Received Date"
19 Feb 2015: NOA1 Notice Date
08 Aug 2015: NOA2 email! :luv: (173 days from NOA1)

17 Aug 2015: Sent to NVC

?? Aug 2015: Arrived at NVC

25 Aug 2015: NVC Case # Assigned

31 Aug 2015: Left NVC for Consulate in San Jose

09 Sep 2015: Consulate received :dancing: (32 days from NOA2)

11 Sep 2015: Packet 3 emailed from embassy to me, the petitioner (34 days from NOA2).

18 Sep 2015: Medicals complete

21 Sep 2015: Packet 3 complete, my boss puts a temporary moratorium on all time off due to work emergency :clock:

02 Oct 2015: Work emergency clears up, interview scheduled (soonest available was 5 business days away--Columbus Day was in there)

13 Oct 2015: Interview

13 Oct 2015: VISA APPROVED  (236 days from NOA1)

19 Oct 2015: Visa-in-hand

24 Oct 2015: POE !

15 Dec 2015: Fiance's mother's B-2 visa interview: APPROVED! So happy she will be at the wedding!

!

Haha! Well thank you! Totally agree with your comments!

And why is it the name for younger men/ older women is (in my opinion) a derogatory predator term "cougar". I am no predator. I WANTED to find someone close to my age. The term for older men/younger women is "a May/December Romance". Really??!! How sweet. (Eye Roll). Tell me those women aren't "predators" ever.

. . .

What 26 yr old from any country would be attracted to a 41 yr old mother of 4 and grandmother already.

My husband. I'm 21 years older than he is and I have 5 grown kids. We met when he was 27. We've been together for almost 14 years, but, unlike Dani, I have my sh!t together.

Yes, things have changed. Please try to keep up.

She looks older than she is. I'm just the opposite :dancing: I never understood women who let themselves go. You would think that if she was going to steal credit cards, she could use one or two to buy some decent clothes, join a gym and get a makeover. I'd also recommend lips.

Dani is no cougar.

She comes across as sad and desperate.

He seems to be a manipulator.

To Cassia (who trolls this thread, screen shots posts, and puts them on her FB): I sincerely hope that you are in a legit relationship and are happier than it appears on the show. I also really hope that there will come a time when you are able to talk about the real story, and explain just how on earth your relationship works!!
