so let me get this straight.. mohammed hasn't adjusted his status yet, therefore he is out of status. it doesn't look like he's gonna adjust it through danielle whether it's because of money or whatever else. so... he is roaming the streets of new york with no valid visa and no way to EVER adjust his status if danielle never gets a chance to do it for him.

he's some kind of a fruit loop... he must have not done is homework on how to stay, unless the VAWA is in the works.

I don't know what his status is. He, unlike Danielle, is very tight-lipped about his life. I do know that they are to be evicted this Wednesday, (except that she gives her location as Norwalk, OH and he gives his as Sandusky, OH, 53 miles away). How anyone can afford to go to NYC while facing eviction is a mystery to me.

I just remembered, in August, he was posting here that his AOS application was returned because they had no money to pay for it. Unfortunately, I don't see that situation as having changed, unless he has a silent sponsor.

Are they getting paid though? Perhaps only the USC gets paid? Perhaps they received assistance with obtaining the k1?

Yeah only the USC is paid. Still super shady business. Bet TLC LOVES all the legal scrutiny these two are bringing to the show.

Marriage/ AOS Timeline:

23 Dec 2015: Legal marriage

23 Jan 2016: Wedding!

23 Jan 2016: "Blizzard of the Century", wedding canceled/rescheduled (thank goodness we were legally married first or we'd have had a big problem!) :sleepy:

24 Jan 2016: Small "civil ceremony" with friends and family who were snowed in with us. December was a bit of a secret and people had traveled internationally and knew we *had* to get married that weekend, and our December legal marriage was nothing but signing a piece of paper at our priest's kitchen table, without any sort of vows etc so this was actually a very special (if not legally significant) day. (L)

16 Apr 2016: Filed for AOS and EAD/AP (We delayed a bit-- no big rush, enjoying the USCIS break)

23 Apr 2016: Wedding! Finally! :luv:

27 Apr 2016: Electronic NOA1 for all 3 :dancing:
29 Apr 2016: NOA1 Hardcopy for all 3
29 Jul 2016: Online service request for late EAD (Day 104)
29 Jul 2016: EAD/AP Approved ~3 hours after online service request
04 Aug 2016: RFE for Green Card (requested medicals/ vaccination record. They already have it). :ranting:
05 Aug 2016: EAD/AP Combo Card arrived! (Day 111)
08 Aug 2016: Congressional constituent request to get guidance on the RFE. Hoping they see they have the form and approve!

K-1 Visa Timeline:

PLEASE NOTE. This timeline was during the period of time when TSC was working on I-129fs and had a huge backlog. The average processing time was 210+ days. This is in no way predictive of your own timeline if you filed during or after April 2015, unless CSC develops a backlog. A backlog is anything above the 5-month goal time listed on USCIS's site

14 Feb 2015: Mailed I-129f to Dallas Lockbox. (L) (Most expensive Valentine's card I've ever sent!)

17 Feb 2015: NOA1 "Received Date"
19 Feb 2015: NOA1 Notice Date
08 Aug 2015: NOA2 email! :luv: (173 days from NOA1)

17 Aug 2015: Sent to NVC

?? Aug 2015: Arrived at NVC

25 Aug 2015: NVC Case # Assigned

31 Aug 2015: Left NVC for Consulate in San Jose

09 Sep 2015: Consulate received :dancing: (32 days from NOA2)

11 Sep 2015: Packet 3 emailed from embassy to me, the petitioner (34 days from NOA2).

18 Sep 2015: Medicals complete

21 Sep 2015: Packet 3 complete, my boss puts a temporary moratorium on all time off due to work emergency :clock:

02 Oct 2015: Work emergency clears up, interview scheduled (soonest available was 5 business days away--Columbus Day was in there)

13 Oct 2015: Interview

13 Oct 2015: VISA APPROVED  (236 days from NOA1)

19 Oct 2015: Visa-in-hand

24 Oct 2015: POE !

15 Dec 2015: Fiance's mother's B-2 visa interview: APPROVED! So happy she will be at the wedding!

Agree on all points about Mohamed going to nyc. Wonder if Danielle is with him or he's alone...

I'd be interested to know how the couples are paid/how they get around the fact that the foreign fiance can't work. I'm sure it's all legal because tlc would have done their due diligence on it. Just curious.

Pound to a penny he is solo.

Teen mom was like that too. In the beginning only the moms were paid. Baby daddies/boyfriends got nothing. I believe that changed as time went on.

They reapplied for the AOS shortly after it was returned, but got a request for a co-sponsor so he hasn't received his work authorization yet. From my understanding, they just recently found a co-sponsor so it's just a matter of time before he can work.

I would like to find this co-sponsor and punch him in the face. Wth is wrong with these ppl? And if his AOS gets approved, I would like to punch the interviewer in the face too.

I know, right?! I think it's sick that he's building this little fan base and the girls that are just oogling over him on social media. GAG!

I'm really hoping they get interviewed and aren't one of the AOS from K1 cases that has the interview waived.

I don't know enough about the way USCIS deals with things to know if the eviction will have any effect on his immigration case

It was interesting to me (not surprising though) how bummed out he was about how long it will take to get his green card, how shocked he was to learn that his wife's debts might also become his, and how everything he talked about revolved around him. Not "I want to get my employment card as soon as possible so I can make this burden of my fiance/wife losing her job easier on BOTH of US." For better or worse, no?!

I honestly believe that Mo was sold a bill of goods. He saw his ticket to America and held on tight.

Well, they kind of deserve each other then, don't they?
