Hello, I am new here so apologies in advance if this has been addressed elsewhere.

Question: our case is at the Texas Service Center (TSC).  We are a U.S. Citizen filing for an Alien Spouse (I-130) and we received our NOA1 on 10/5/2017.

The USCIS website says they are processing cases of March 2,2017 as of November 30, 2017.

Since it's now about 2 months later let's figure they are currently up to about May 5, 2017.

By contrast the VJ website indicates the TSC is currently on cases of about June 28, 2017.

Any thoughts on the approx 2 month discrepancy?

How accurate is the USCIS website.

Needless to say this whole thing is, understandably, an exercise in patience.

(Constructive) feedback appreciated.

VJ stats are based on actual members reported results and are only as accurate as members indicate

In my experience, the website has been wildly out of touch. I hadn't had any website updates to my case, called, and they told me that the service centre I was sent to was processing petitions over a year old. I recieved my AOS appointment letter the next day.

Honestly I just stopped relying on the USCIS website and any "information" they are giving out. I also stopped calling. They are very out of touch. In my experience, Visa Journey and facebook groups are what I am relying on. So far, the information I've gotten on VJ and FB have been helpful and what has been taking away my doubts and stress.

Stay strong- you have some time to go.

USCIS is reporting their oldest known cases, so not representative information at all.

Facts are cheap...knowing how to use them is precious...

My P.D same as yours 10.10.2017.

Texas service center IR 1 spouse visa.

4 months have already passed, hope approval soon.

I think we should be expecting approval in the end of ApriL to the mid of May,if no RFE.

According to V.J and F.B,i have seen juLy approvals have been started from texas service center.

Nowadays nearLy 200 days are  estimated approval time for texas.

Good LuCK keep me updated if you receive anything.

Also received NOA1 on 10/2/2017 from the Texas Service Center, US citizen filing for foreign spouse.

I was also wondering how accurate the times were as the USCIS site gives estimates of 9 months rather than the typical 6 months. I know the next phase with the NVC will take quite some time, 9 months is a bit gloomy to think about.. Thanks for the info.

Here is one good facebook group.

It is a CLOSED GROUP, meaning you will have to answer some questions before you get approved.

Also, you can ONLY speak English. Any other foreign languages will get you kicked off the group.
