My niece wants to visit us for about 2 weeks, due to covid -19 processing times In Ecuador have increased to 999 days, or just emergency purposes. is it still a good idea to apply now, and just wait until the emergency is over for the interview to be scheduled? will the system rejected the application if she applies now? any tip or suggestions will be greatly appreciated.
  6. UPDATE JUNE 17th: Routine visas services have been suspended at U.S. posts worldwide, but as resources allow, embassies and consulates will continue to provide emergency and mission critical visa services. Mission-critical immigrant visa categories may include applicants who may be eligible for an exception under this presidential proclamation, such as: IR/CR1, IR/CR2, IR/IH-3, IR/IH-4, SQ, SI, and certain employment-based medical professionals, as well as cases involving an applicant who may age out. While embassies and consulates may process these types of cases, their ability to do so may be limited by local government restrictions and available resources. In addition, an applicant’s ability to travel may be impacted by local laws, regulations, and travel restrictions So it seems visa services will resume for these visa categories. US Embassy in Jamaica has already confirmed they will be scheduling interviews for IR1/IR2 and CR1/CR2 beginning next week. Source is their official Facebook page. sources: https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/News/visas-news/Proclamation-Suspending-Entry-of-Immigrants-Who-Present-Risk-to-the-US-labor-market.html https://m.facebook.com/USEmbassyJamaica/
  7. Hi guys. So i wanna share my experience with you guys. My sis had an interview in November 2019 at US embassy Islamabad and she was approved without any 221g form issued and no additional documents were asked. VO said she will get her visa in 2 weeks But then she was put into Administrative Processing for almost 4 months. Her status update date changed like 6/7 times. On march 3 her ceac status changed to “Refused” which was really panicking but later on we found that it was systemwide change and everyone who was in administrative processing was now showing Refused status. On march 17, 2020 her status changed from Refused to Administrative Processing again and next day visa was issued. So i have come to a conclusion that After the interview “Refused” is new term and once you are cleared you will be put into “Administrative Processing” status for short period of time right before issuance of your visa. Good luck everyone.
  8. Hi there! I am currently applying for Aoj along with I-765 for work Authorization. on my I-485, currently have a Request for information however my I-765 is currently overdue processing time and it is still "active." I'm not sure if my RFE stops the I-765 from processing as I'm trying to get the documents together to send it off ASAP. so if anyone could let me know if my I-765 is being held up by the RFE on my I--485 that'd be great! Cheers!
