Does anyone know if it still possible to get your entry denied at POE even if you have your immigrant visa approved and sealed envelope with you provided by the embassy?

I"m wondering if anyone ever had experience such situation or heard of someone having to go through something like that. It seems to me that should be quite unlikely. But still want to know how often things like that happen and why?

For sure. Something as simple as not taking your Q&A at POE with CBP seriously might just get you denied. But of course there are more serious reasons out there.

ROC filed on December 1, 2020, assigned to SRC, approved within 106 days on February 18, 2021.

It has happened a few times at the very least. For example the during the interview they didn't ask for a waiver from someone. When he got to the border they went through his papers and said he needed a waiver. Turned him around it was a mess.

You mean that the applicant needed a waiver and none told him that at the embassy when he was having an interview? Makes no sense.

Yes, it's certainly possible. And only USCs are guaranteed admittance at POE. But being denied with a valid immigrant visa being used for the proper purpose is by far not the norm.

 i was almost stopped at POE when I was at abu dhabi airport. My minor arrest showed up and they asked me if I have mentioned that at interview. Which of course I mentioned my arrest. I also had papers from court. He verified my packet and it was clearly mentioned in my application that I had an arrest and it was disclosed.. he let me in then.. best way to avoid this situation is disclose everything in your application..

You had POE in Abu Dhabi? Isn't Poe only in the U.S. ?

Yes!! Abu Dhabi is one of few airports where u can access to pre clearance facility.. meaning u can clear Us immigration at Abu Dhabi only.. so when ur plane lands at the US airport u r treated as domestic passenger.. I think Dublin airport has pre clearance facility too .. it saves lot of time

Yes exactly. He was approved, sent his packet, passport with visa to him. He shows up at the border then gets told no he needed a waiver.

I think u flying Turkish airlines.. I guess they don't have that facility.. but when reach POE at US be normal.. they might grill little bit but they will let u go eventually.. have a safe trip .. 😊

yes, turkish airlines. it will go from istanbul to toronto , which I think will be my POE.. thank you so much for good wishes! -_- im really nervous
