Congrats. You file your i601 immediately after the interview,is like you were well informed and knew what to do.I did not know they would look at something that happen 24yrs ago.His interview was 08/14 they told him it was temporary denied, then called him in 11/14 and gave him the waiver.I was uncertain if i could send it in myself,so it was with one Lawyer in Dec,move it to another Lawyer since Feb 1 2015,it was never sent off until almost the end of July 2015.Hope to hear something soon.

I always think short sweet and simple is best. No one wants to read a 3 page story. They lose focus and your point gets lost. Send a simple email stating that u r a USC who filed a visa that required a waiver for whatever inadmissibility/ban there was and request their assistance to find out what's going on. State the simple facts.

What type of visa was applied for

What type of waiver was needed and the filing date

Full names and case #

If they need more they'll let you know. You'll sign a consent to allow them to help. They will in turn make an inquiry to USCIS and get back to you with their findings. I personally believe it may prompt USCIS to prioritize a bit.

Good Luck!

Hello! =) My I601 approval was on November 25th. I just had I601, no I212 at all. I had to re do my medicals, get a new pólice records report and the 2014 tax return of my husband as my first interview was on September 2014.

Hi everyone! I'm new on the forum but I have been reading the information you share here for a couple moths, so I decided to enjoy it.

I would like to know if anybody here have called the uscis to ask about the cases and how was that experience? I already called 2 times, my husband called 3 times and we didn't get any information. I asked why my case is out processing time and two more questions and the person answered me exactly the same thing. It felt like I was talking to a machine.

According to Nebrask processing time, in nov 30 they were processing cases from july 3 right? So, what day they were supposed to be processing in end of january?

September 28, 2013 - Got married in Brazil

June 24, 2015 - Interview in Rio de Janeiro

July 20, 2015 - USCIS received my I601 case
