  1. I still cannot remember what that clause also covers, only come across it a couple of times being used for non obvious issues. Sadly the VJ search function is down as I remember a few years back a similar sort of case but cannot find it, do not remember the details. Maybe it will pop into my brain cell but hopefully the Lawyer will know what the issue is. And you can remind me.
  2. https://twitter.com/NiohBerg/status/1793217526572138748 Will not embed but says it all.
  3. I think the risk of deportation is low, but the waiver has nothing to do with it.
  4. My car is outside and not locked, I got out of the habit with an old truck that would not lock. Now should I probably, if I was in Denver would I absolutely even of y guard pooch was on duty. I have not seen one but suppose it is possible to produce a heat map showing crime allowing for population density, people who have lived here for a while could imagine what it will look like.
  5. Did he officially abandon his GC? There is a long wait in Turkey to get a Tourist Visa Appointment.
  6. To be fair a lot of them seem to use Notarios or DIY.
  7. Is the tide turning? https://www.politico.com/news/magazine/2024/05/21/democrats-beware-progressive-da-fights-portland-00159065 But on Tuesday, the voters of Multnomah County, the surrounding jurisdiction and a county that has not voted Republican for president since 1960, could replace their incumbent district attorney, Mike Schmidt, with a man who was in the GOP until after Donald Trump became president. “What I hear when I’m knocking on doors, is ‘Hey, I consider myself very liberal but this is out of step — we’re not getting served well,’” said Nathan Vasquez, a longtime prosecutor in the county office and now unaffiliated voter who’s challenging his boss, adding: “People definitely want public safety. It doesn’t mean people are wholly abandoning the idea of criminal justice reform. They just want it delivered in a pragmatic, practical way.” Should Vasquez prevail, it would represent more than the rejection of a progressive prosecutor. It would be the culmination of simmering local frustration with crime, homelessness and drug abuse and a resounding correction to the shift left on criminal justice that took place here and in so many cities in 2020.
  8. She is dreaming of Social Security, nothing has been said to suggest she qualifies. I am not going to guess the result of a Consulate interview, that is down to a Lawyer familiar with the case, but it sounds like it is not a given an immigrant visa would be issued. We used to see a lot of waiver situations. they do seem less frequent now.
  9. I realise the PERM process is a bit of a joke, but it does make me wonder how they advertised when you do not have a CDL and there would be people available who do. And what the job requires.
  10. 2,500 out of lets say more than 10 Million is hardly significant.
  11. Once you enter you are a LPR. You have the I 551 stamp. Now going back and working out your notice could be expensive and the tax issues would be a pain.
  12. Having a removal order is one thing, leaving another, some leave some do not, some would have left anyway. No Ordered Removed AND Deported. OK this case is more complicated but I have lost track of the number of cases I have seen where the beneficiary with a removal order marries a USC and wants to adjust, certainly now it is an easy ish process.
  13. Being ordered removed and leaving are very different. There are people who were ordered removed decades ago and are still here. And of course many subsequently adjust having been ordered removed. It is just a game.
  14. What will your Employer do if you just leave. Ger another Medical done.
  15. The visa will expire when the medical does
  16. 212 (a)(4) is used in other circumstances. This feels more like a Bdvsolutions type situation but lets see.
  17. I seriously doubt that 80,000 deportation orders were issued to Immigrants, I see it happen occasionally, but those sort of numbers no way.
  18. She has been here 23 years, not a problem so far. 2500 non criminals were deported from the interior of the US last year, what are the odds?
  19. You may need to redo the medical
  20. Colorado is a big state, I am assuming that this is skewed due the Progressive nature of Denver which is a spot on the map.
  21. Nothing to suggest anyone is coming looking for her, certainly under the current administration.
  22. It has been hard to watch CNN recently, the dreams the hope, and then the realisation that it may all be quashed.
