  1. I think there is a misunderstanding here and it is because of me of course, maybe the language barrier, maybe because I am not clear enough I just wanted to hear about other cases that were in the same scenario so I could prepare myself for the possibility There is no truth or lie here
  2. i will be back in the stats in the middle of july. my question is what can i say to the CBP?
  3. I received a Green Card and Social Security Card, and about to enter the United States. It has been over six months since my last entry. i spoke to a lawyer who suggested that presenting a bank account opened online should satisfy the CBP, if i get questioned. I last entered in February 2023. and about to enter now on a round-trip flight My plan is to return to my home country temporarily, do some stuff regarding the big move, and then fly back to the United States in one direction flight. I apologize in advance if this is not the right forum to ask for such advice. What can I do or show if i'll get asked about my absence?
  4. The basis I guess it will be the same - i'm married to an American citizen and my two children are American. I will have to ask her father for the financial documents again, dont like that option but 🤷‍♀️ Would it be "easier" to start an "Immigrant Visa" process in the future or a or a Lawful Permanent Resident Card?
  5. I'm considering reapplying for a green card in years to come after relinquishing my LPR status. I will seek personalized legal advice to understand my options and chances of success but still, i whould like to ask - Has anyone ever done this?? Can I ever do the process again? I have a marriage based green card and I heard that you can waive it and get a visa, and it's not a bad option.
  6. What you say is actually - Give up the work permit in advance, do not submit RE ENTRY and apply again in the future (If I'm still married and we have children there shouldn't be a problem)
  7. Thanks everyone for the answers!! If they approve my re-entry - Does it lower the chances of getting a work permit\green card again in the future if I want to start the whole process all over agian? I am currently considering either giving up and submitting again sometime - or re-entry
  8. Hello everyone, my name is Hezi and I am married to an American citizen.... Two years ago we started the process of a marriage based green card - ir1, A few months ago the long-awaited interview arrived, I did it and the medical examination Everything went smoothly We flew to the USA about six months after that medical examination to do "initial entry", on February. I went in without any questions I got a social security card to my wife's parents' house about a week after we got to the states, We left, her parents came to visit and brought with them my green card which arrived a few weeks after we left We have a flight ticket for mid-July, which is also less than six months after our entry in February and we're not sure we'll make it Since the medical examination, you can say, my wife is looking for a job but nothing happens I started looking for a job 4 months ago and I can't find either Her parents live in a relatively expensive and prestigious area (Somewhere in the Rhode Island area) and we have a baby and we are not interested in arriving without a job We don't know what to do the difficulty of finding work is simply discouraging We are afraid that I will lose the green card, and then I will also have problems with the visa if we actually decide to give up We heard about a re-entry option that gives a little more breathing room Has anyone been in a similar situation? should do and is the process lost? What can we do so that the process does not go down the drain?
  9. The year you are talking about starts from the moment I enter the US, Now in February right?. so let's get this clear - it's not that good to spend more than six months in a row outside the United States in this year...
  10. i need to stay outside of the united states samthing like 8 or 9 months, their is a slight chance i will be back after 4 months - in that case i'm not gonna work on the re-entry form.
  11. Thanks everyone for the answers. yes! i wasent clear about that - my wife is coming with me to the states. I read about the form, my problem is this: i'm going 3 weeks from now to the states, for a 2 and a half weeks visit. it says on the form information that: "You should file your Form I-131 no fewer than 60 days before you intend to travel abroad" also - how much time since my arrivel i have to do biometrics test?
  12. I'm sure their is a discusion on this topic in the forums before And I'm also not sure that this is the right forum for my question, if not I'd appreciate someone correcting me My problem is this - I got a green card, I'm after an interview and I'm going to enter the United States soon to approve the green card and then fly back to my country I am interested in postponing my arrival due to work constraints, and also - my wife did not find a job yet in the states, we need more time I heard about an option called RE ENTRY and i would like to hear if anyone had done this kind of process my wife is american and the vise is famely based, IR1
