Hello guys! We had our interview today. Our interview went really well. The interview officer took a copy of our IDs and vaccination card. He asked us to put the new documents that we think is needed and and new. All we gave was an update on our insurance policies and our updated bank statement. After that he checked our marriage license and birth certificates and then he started the interview. The officer asked us how we met, what was the proposal like, asked me how my husband feels about his current employer. He mostly focused on the dates, like when did we moved in to our place, what was the date of our first date, date of our wedding and the likes.  He also asked the questions like are you related to security, am i related to a terrorist, groups etc. He didn't asked anything related to my overstayed visa and my work without authorization. (It was on the document that we submitted). He was also taking notes while asking. After the q&a while he was inputting data in the computer, we talked about foods and thats it. He has all the documents needed and congratulated us. Told us if my green card does not arrive in 3 weeks I should call USCIS, shout at them and demand for it. He said it in a really funny way.

Our interview was scheduled at 6:45. We arrive there at 6:05. There was a security check at the first floor. They told my husband to take his shoe off. The security also asked for an ID and the interview notice and had us answer questions about covid. After that, they instructed us to the reception. There was no line at all. The reception asked for the interview notice, after checking, she told us to go to the 2nd floor. Once we were at the holding are on the second floor, there were only a few people waiting, one couple with a lawyer, a mother and her teenage kid, a gentleman, an older lady and us. We gave the notice to the window area. The mother and the teenager were called first, next was the gentleman. They went in to the door with the security access right next to the window reception. At exactly 6:40, we were called in. But on a different door access. It was like a back door. Anyhow, we were out of the interview room at 7:35. Although the interview was not that long, we were there longer because my husband and the interview officer got engaged in to a conversation about food that they like to cook and how they cook it. lol All in all, the experience was a good one. And we were lucky to have a very nice interview officer.

Just had our aos interview (adjusting from k1) yesterday. It was the longest 30 minutes of my life.  The officer said  give him 1 or 2 day to review the new evidence we gave him, and then he’ll make his decision to approve or mail us a letter if he needs more information.

2 days before our interview, my husbands EAD and I131 were approved! So at least he can look for a job meanwhile. This will be a combo card right? We applied at the same time.

We had our interview last week and everything went well.  The only questions asked were confirmation of her name, birth date, and a few security questions.  There were no questions on our relationship nor were any additional documents asked for.  No tax information was asked for as well and I did not submit 2020 taxes at the time of filing the AOS as I had yet to file 2020 taxes.  Also at that time there was no co-mingling of finances or anything else for that matter, but again nothing was asked for during the interview.  However, we did prepare all of the documents in the interview notice just in case.

Looking back on the entire process, none of us were ever asked any questions about our relationship.  At the K1 interview, the only question my wife received was where I was at.  I was actually waiting outside of the embassy.  This was in December 2020.  During the joint interview for AOS, as mentioned above, there were no questions about us.  The person we had was very nice and laid back as well.

The only interesting thing that appears to be happening is the I765 and I131 combo card is arriving today in the mail and the green card may be arriving over the next week or so.

This might help everyone including your case:
Note: Biometric Appointment you will not get any update either as SMS or USCIS Online portal.
Appointment Notice are only sent by Mail, many has got lost in process while some are still pending delivery, while some has not been schedule at all.

In order to know your status if schedule or not, Go to Emma, type ''live chat'', select ''Green Card'' A representative will attend to you.
Here is what you will tell representative.   ''My Biometric Appointment Notice Mail is missing'' - If truly it has been schedule the date will be given to you right away and if mail has been sent but pending, the representative will tell you and if its over 15 days the mail has been sent but yet you did not receive, the representative will re-issue a notice mail to you, the last option if no appointment at all, the representative will tell you case is still under review due to Covid backlog.

    All the best.

OMG. I just passed my citizenship application waiting for oath taking.

If you apply for a citizenship you will have a hard time. Interview is tough. Immigration officers will find out everything..

Tax evasion is a very serious matter enough for you to get deported. Seriously, as a federal crime.

You have many issues. You better find a lawyer. You are an illegal also tax evader. You can be ban in the US. Both federal crime. Any advice if you done it wrong will hurt you and get deported.

If you want to live in the US you have to obey the laws as a foreigner. Even Moving violation ticket is a serious issue..

This is a bit of hyperbole.
Making $2K puts them far from needing to file taxes.

My wife worked illegally. We just put all that information in the application. For some since she clean houses we just put various employers. You must though pay your taxes. After we got married last year I got her all caught up on that and got her tax transcripts. You will will end up owing some taxes even though you made a low amount. That will go to social security and Medicare. You won't owe Federal income taxes. You will need a SSN or ITIN to file. We even got her a $2,000 refund for child tax credits for 2018.

Relax,   each case is different with citizenship.
$2000.00 don't make her a  Al Capone with tax evasion.   A moving violation is not a serious matter,  ( a friend of mine had 3)  got his citizenship last month,    don't think this is the biggest obstacle they will have to clear for a visa.

You really think all who worked illegally and not filed taxes didn't receive a visa or citizenship, guess again.
