  1. I don't think we know the process really. I certainly don't. It's just guess work and pattern spotting really. Been looking out for your post today. I was really expecting to see you telling us all your London interview date 😮‍💨
  2. New week. New month. Time for some new interviews 🙃
  3. Congrats mate. Routing for you! Nice early interview too. UK here. DQ July 12. Nothing yet. Feeling good about Monday 💪
  4. Ha! That's a really interesting idea 😁. Good spot! I've always assumed that when NVC work with an embassy to schedule an interview - in practice that means that NVC hold the application until the embassy are ready to schedule a bunch of interviews. And I can't imagine scheduling is a particularly big job - as far as I'm aware they don't liaise with the applicant to work out which times work best for their interview! So my gut feel is that this is probably just an interesting coincidence than a pattern, but who knows! What I'm quite interested to know is the time people are recieving their emails. Is it east coast working hours (from NVC) or local working hours (from embassy)? In other words, is it fruitless to refresh my emails before 9:00 ET? Or should I stop checking once we hit 17:30 UK time?
  5. I don't know if the processes are similar but there are a few of us in CR1/IR1 process who have been DQed but not scheduled an interview. It typically takes around a week but noone has recieved an interview in the past month+.
  6. Good spot. Let's hope so! There are a lot of cases on VJ of people getting IL during this hiatus. So it's hard to tell if this is just another one of those, or if it's indicative of broader movement at NVC. The DQ date in June looks promising but the scarcity of Chilean timelines makes it hard to know what's normal. Fingers crossed!
  7. Case still at NVC as of this morning. Hoping that will have changed by the end of today
  8. Thanks so much for the responses everyone. Super helpful.
  9. Hi folks, I've been DQ'ed but my case is still at NVC and there seems to be a delay on London interviews which are normally 6 weeks after DQ. I'm slightly concerned with the delay that there will be a mad rush to book medical in London and this could delay my move, so I am trying to be proactive and book it now. But is it possible to book the medical *too soon*? For example, if I book a medical at the start of August would that be valid for an interview in September, or even October?
  10. Oh that's really interesting. It looks as though a whole load of cases left NVC yesterday from many countries. I don't understand much about the K1 process but it seems like a key difference between K1 and CR1/IR1 is that at K1 cases are scheduled by the applicant wheres at CR1/IR1 it's done for you. This may be a sign they're prepping to start scheduling interviews for family visas for CR1/IR1 too. It might be a good idea to check ceac more over the next few days as some of us may have left NVC. Fingers crossed!
  11. That's really interesting, could mean they're starting in family visas again...! This hiatus in interviews seems to only be affecting certain countries. What country with the K1 interviews you saw from? I still can't find any* timeline in either IR1 or K1 for the UK with a 'consulate recieved' date since the start of June. (*I can find one example but it's a fairly incomplete timeline and no interview date so far)
  12. To be clear I'm just guessing! I'm going off another users suggestion rather than anything concrete. Interestingly, I just had a look at a subreddit for student visas and it seems like London have started giving students an opportunity to apply for an interview waiver, so they skip the interview stage entirely. I suppose this also backs up idea that London are trying to plough through a large amount of visas before term starts in August. It'd be good if someone on the forum knew more about the student visa process and could offer some insight on this.
  13. I think we haven't been allocated interviews yet because the embassies aren't booking up slots for family visa until they've sorted the student visas. So when they *do* recieve our cases it's possible that some of us have a shorter waits, as they fill up the slots. It's worth noting that after the long gap last summer an unusually high amount of VJers had interviews in the 10 days after.
  14. Hey, we are DQ July 12 so right with you. It looks as though a lot of embassies have slowed recently. There's a pretty active thread in the Embassy Stage forum about the dropoff in July interviews. Some people are suggesting it is due to prioritising student visas at this time of year which seems probable to me.
  15. No idea about CH, but I'll outline my current thinkingnonnwhen I'll interview which maybhelp you make your own guess. What I imagine is happening is family visas are being held up at NVC until student visas are sorted. Semester starts mid to late August so I'm expecting family visa interviews to start up again in a month or so. But everyday without seeing anyone recieving IL makes that guess less and less likely. Next I'm guessing where I am in the backlog. It looks as though the last people to be interviewed DQed late May. My DQ is July 12 so there are around 6 weeks of DQs ahead of me in the queue. Once the student visas are out the way I'd hope they get through interviews faster than DQs come in so I optimistically think this will add about 3 weeks for me (though this is spiralling into totally uninformed guesswork 🙃) With all that in mind, I'm expecting an interview in mid-September.
  16. Agreed. And regarding your point on patterns, I've just done a timeline search looking at interviews in London during the summer of 2021 and it seems to have followed a similar pattern, albeit earlier in the summer. There was a consistent flow of interviews until 17 May. Then only 2 interviews reported in the next 10 weeks, and then suddenly a big chunk of interviews on 26 July and more at the start of August. I tried checking Netherlands but there weren't enough listed to really notice much.
  17. Yes, I obviously wasn't tracking the interview dates as closely 12 months ago so have no idea what's normal. The student visa suggestion seems very feasible to me - it makes sense to prioritise those who have a hard deadline for arrival and bring a lot of money in over those of us waiting for family visas.
  18. On the interviews thread in the UK forum, the last person to recieve an interview for the London office recieved it on June 3rd. On the timeline search there is one person who recieved an interview since then (DQ June 8. IL June 27. Interview August 23). So it definitely seems as though interview appointments have slowed signifcantly over the last 5 weeks in the London Embassy.
  19. Our was only last week 12 July. There is someone in the UK subforum who DQed 21 June so I'd guess either: A) It'll be at least a 3 week wait; or, B) a whole load of interviews will be scheduled at the same time Selfishly, I'm hoping for B. Have you booked a medical yet or are you waiting on the interview letter?
  20. Also waiting for London. There is only one timeline on VJ at the moment with an interview scheduled in London.
  21. We've not heard anything but were DQed way after you. Seen people with similar DQ dates to you on FB who are still waiting.
  22. As of today we're up to date with all the interviews listed in London on VJ. Does anyone else have an interview scheduled in July or August?
  23. We did send the tax return, and the tax was how you described. We then added additional evidence of income in the form of payslips and contract for the new job in the US. In the messages, there were two notes. 1) one with the message in the OP 2) one that just said 'documentarily qualified' timestamped about a minute later Do you think we need to take any further action oflr just relax and wait for the interview letter?
  24. Ah ok, so we should prepare a hard copy but not upload anything. That's doable. We used current income based on pay slips and work contract. She worked in the UK for all of 2018-2021 so had 0 qualifying income on tax returns.
  25. Hi all, We just recieved a confusong response from NVC: Case FE Review note 12-JUL-2022 07:32:29 EDT This case does not meet the minimum income requirement to sponsor the intending immigrants. To avoid delays, an additional Affidavit of Support Form I-864 from a joint sponsor may be submitted. For more information visit https://nvc.state.gov/aos. The consular officer will make a decision regarding this requirement at the time of the interview. For more information, please visit https://www.uscis.gov/i-864p. My partner earns well above the minimum income requirement. As she started her job in March 2022 she couldn't evidence it on 2021 tax returns, so instead we submitted 6 recent payslips and her work contract. Do we need to submit a further i1864 for joint sponsors? It says that the consular office will make a decision at interview. Has anyone experienced anything similar? The only review note simply says "Documentarily Qualified" and the emails imply that I will recieve an interview soon.
