    Hello,

I'd like to share my passport application timeline as might be useful for comparison as a new data point.

2/18 applied in USPS for card and passport book. Paid for both ways express and expedited.
2/22 In process with locator number "69".
    3/8 Approved
3/9 Mailed with a USPS tracking number
3/10 Received a old gen. passport book in mail.

One thing I noticed is that once the status changed from "Approved" to "Mailed", they provided me with the USPS tracking number, but later on after 5-6 hours, when I checked it had changed back to "Approved" and still is. So Basically, it might be a system glitch, but looks like they share the tracking number and if you don't see it by chance, you'll assume it used to be "Approved" and still is "Approved" although in the meantime it had already one change.

FYI usps informed delivery says the passport is physically being sent from Tucson, AZ.

I also found out separately that all expedited passport applications are sent to the Philadelphia passport agency in the first instance.

Same here, USpatial. I'm looking forward to voting.

That's a harsh update, 28 days to 6 months.  At 28 days, I bet you could taste the anticipation.

After being here for >12 years on a GC, you'd think I'd be a bit more "meh" about it.

No idea, but congrats on your approval.

One friend did his naturalization about 3 weeks ago and he never got the letter my mail, he simply printed it out. I don't think this will be your case, but the information may be useful for you.

I just tried it myself and it worked fine for me. I think it's probably just a glitch. I'd say to try again later or tomorrow.

I applied in December 17th, 2020 and did my interview in Las Vegas, today. The interview was smooth and easy and the officer was friendly and approved my application after interview and said, will put me in the oath ceremony list. When I got home, I had several notifications from USCIS and noticed the oath ceremony is scheduled for February 17th and posted under documents tab. I'm so glad the whole process of my immigration is over and hope the same for all you guys here.

The first thing a permanent resident and even regular people know about the green card is you have to be back before 6 months and not a secret information.

    I PASSED this morning.
    OATH SCHEDULED September 16th.

Las Vegas office. Interview scheduled for 10:30 a.m. arrived at 10 am and my husband stood there with my box of files while I waited in the AC in the car like the princess I am 😂

Got called in. At the door security said i do not need that box of files since I'm just doing my test and leave it with him,  if we need something they will let me out.

Got grabbed from the lobby by 10:33 am. Officer was proper. Not too stern just serious but friendly at the same time.. like he is just doing his job. Professional. I could not remember one of my trips which was the latest one date of departure and he allowed me to look through my cell phone to find out the date. I did place tabs in my passport for any arrival stamps so that helped.

We did test right away before we moved on to yes or no to get it out of the way.

Questions: only asked 6 cause I got it all correct and we stopped after that.
    1. We elect senator for how many years? - 6
    2. When was declaration of independence written? - 1787
    3. When president can no longer serve, who becomes president? - Vice President
    4. What are 2 rights? -Freedom of speech and religion.
    5. What is the responsibility only for US  Citizen? - To vote In federal election
Reading: "What do we pay to the Governent?"
    Writing: "We pay taxes"

Then we discussed the yes or no very quickly. Just like have you ever been a member of and then a bunch of stuff.

Went over my "parking citations". Were 3 speeding tickets but reduced by a lawyer to parking. And paid all fines.

We went over the name change request and I signed those forms for the court. The officer explained very clearly every step.

Went over the address change as we just moved. So I filed AR11 the night before and we discussed I need usps change of address.

At the end we discovered my biometric pictures were more than 5 years old. So I was given a paper "Decision cannot yet be made" BUT if I went down the street and took 2 passport photos and brought it back today then I get the paper that says. "Congratulations you are approved".

So 45 min later after 2 walgreens that didn't have photo booth I dropped that off  to the receptionist and she said she will pass it to the officer when he comes out to grab the next person.

I logged on at 5 pm to my uscis and it says "Oath Letter has been mailed."
    Under documents tab.
Oath ceremony is scheduled for September 16th.

Officer complimented my organization and that I filed everything by myself every time.

    Interview lasted 1 hour.

Now we wait until the ceremony!
Good luck guys you are almost there!

I had my interview yesterday in Las Vegas. It was super easy and quick. If the officer didn't have a problem with his computer I probably would've been in and out in ten minutes. Unfortunately Las Vegas doesn't do same day Oath Ceremonies and I was told it will take 30 - 60 day to be scheduled My status on myuscis updated to "Case Was Submitted For Quality Review Based On An Approval Recommendation". I hope it's a standard process and I will have my Ceremony date sooner than later.

USCIS Eases Visitor Restrictions for Fully Vaccinated Individuals
    Release Date
    05/27/2021
Due to updated guidance from the CDC, USCIS has updated its visitor policy. Fully vaccinated individuals no longer have to wear a face covering. Individuals two years old and older who are not fully vaccinated must still wear a face covering.
To be considered fully vaccinated, it must be at least two weeks after receiving a second dose in a two-dose series or at least two weeks after receiving a dose of a single-dose vaccine.
USCIS has eased other requirements for fully vaccinated individuals who do not have COVID-19 symptoms. Those who have returned from domestic air, international air or cruise ship travel in the past 10 days may enter USCIS facilities if they are fully vaccinated. Individuals who have been in close contact (within six feet for a total of 15 minutes or more) with anyone known to have COVID-19 in the previous 14 days may also enter USCIS facilities if they are fully vaccinated. Healthcare workers who consistently wear an N95 respirator and proper personal protective equipment or equivalent when in contact with COVID-19 positive individuals continue to be exempt from reporting close contact.
In DHS-controlled spaces, this guidance supersedes state, local, tribal, or territorial rules and regulations regarding face coverings.
For more information, see our USCIS Visitor Policy.

I suppose, it's the remaining time. As mine says 6 months and already been more than 6 months from when I applied. Although I wouldn't rely on it too much as it's just an estimate and also used to be changing frequently during process.

My interview should have been a combo I-751/N-400 interview, but out of the blue (after contacting my state Senator), my I-751 was approved without an interview and a new green card was mailed. So my interview ended up being for the N-400 only.

From what I could see, there were more staff than applicants in the building - my appointment was at 2:45pm, and there was 1 other person in the waiting room scheduled for 2:30pm. The interview took about 20 minutes. The officer said he would get the civics test out of the way first to avoid nerves/worry throughout the interview. He typed after every answer so I'm guessing they have to document your answers.

    My questions were:
    1. What are 2 rights in the Declaration of Independence?
    2. Who did the US fight during World War II?
    3. What was the main concern during the Cold War?
    4. How many years is a US Senator elected for?
    5. What is our state capital?
    6. Who is the current Vice President?

Reading part: Who was Abraham Lincoln?
Writing part: Lincoln was President during the Civil War. (This had to be written on an tablet/ipad thing.)

I also had to answer 3 questions on the tablet about whether I had any affiliations with the Nazi party, and other similar groups. He said I missed these questions on my application. When I told him I had checked and double-checked my application before submitting, he said many people seemed to be missing these questions so perhaps the online application didn't have them. Anyway, no big deal.

As I had applied under the 3-year rule based on marriage to a US Citizen, I expected to have a few questions about my marriage, but there was not a single question about this. He didn't even ask to see my husband's proof of citizenship. The only thing he asked was how many times I had been married, and if I was "single, married, or divorced?" There were the usual questions about whether I have ever been a terrorist, had military weapons training, or worked as a prostitute. At the end, he gave me a paper stating that I has passed the test and recommended me for approval. I should receive an oath ceremony notice in 30-60 days. Oath ceremonies are only being conducted on Thursdays in Las Vegas at the moment.

Got into my car and received a text update that my oath ceremony was to be scheduled. Almost at the finish line!!

I’m a few days late, but Hubby got citizenship Friday! I noticed said no one was allowed to go into the court room (husband was changing his name). However after he checked in we were allowed into the room along with other visitors of the applicants, and the ceremony was very fast. We couldn’t sit but then, but could record and take photos. Judge said a few words had made  a little joke , they announced the countries there, did the oath, said the pledge, and pretty much that was it. Was very happy to witness this!!

Mine is the same as used to be and under maintenance. If it gets back, probably would be the same random dates with no use. Wish they could come up with a reliable personalized date to help us to plan accordingly regardless of how long the actual process might take.
