Hello,

I applied in last December and recently got my bio reuse dated February 27th. As per my research in this forum, now May and April applicants are getting invited to the interview. I'm planning to go to a travel and wonder is it safe to assume, my turn won't be sooner than 4-5 months which would take to process the earlier applicants? How can I get even a rough idea about the time when I might hear about my interview?

Also does anyone know if the Vegas office does the same day oath ceremony and how long after interview I need to wait for it?

Is there anyone from Vegas or Reno who filled in July 2020 and already received their interview letter or done it?

I'm from Reno, NV. My parents filed 9/19 and did biometrics 3/8. My mom got notified on 5/6 about interview schedule for June. I applied July, bio on 1/25 and now still waiting for interview. Hoping to receive the interview schedule for me and my dad next week.

Please keep us posted if you got your interview letter or any other news. I'm trying to figure out as the December filer, when would be my turn. I have been hoping for this September from the NV cases pattern.

An update for the Las Vegas field office: they are NOT doing same-day oath ceremonies anymore. 😢 Currently, they are doing oath ceremonies on Thursdays starting at 7am for small groups (to maintain social distancing), and they may do up to 5 separate ceremonies throughout the day. The judge conducts the oath ceremony remotely by Zoom. This is subject to change, of course.

After my N400 interview today, the officer said I should expect my oath ceremony to be scheduled in the next 30-60 days.

Congrats for your interview and approval and thanks for the update. Are you changing your name or it's a regular oath ceremony?

I'm from Vegas and applied in December '20 and got my bio reuse letter in Feb 27th. When do you think might be my interview time according to your personal opinion and what you witnessed there? I was hoping for the September, buy seems might be delayed and if this be the case, I'll be going to my birth country and then come back for the interview later this year.

I doubt you will have an interview by September, but who really knows! I applied July 2019 and it has been 22 months to get an interview. If your USCIS account estimates your completion time to be September, do not trust this information fully. (Mine estimated an August 2020 completion, which obviously didn't happen.)

Forgot to mention that I am not changing my name.

Just checked N-400 processing times for Las Vegas: 12.5 to 21.5 months. The earliest you might get an interview would be December/January.

I thought I would chime in. I applied Dec 2020, bio metrics in June and interviewed today (Jan 2022). I was told the oath ceremony is still being done Thursdays starting at 7am at the USCIS office. There are 4 appointments, the last one being at 4pm. The judge is still doing zoom and not at the courthouse because of covid. I was told the letters for the oath ceremony are typically received 3-5 weeks after the interview. I was also told the actual oath ceremony lasts only about 10 minutes.

The interview itself the questions appeared to be random. I have to say it feels really weird to think of this process being over. It was 5 years ago I started my own Visa Journey into the US from Canada. I passed the citizenship test today. For those of you wondering if you will ever get there have faith. I am so thankful for this forum and for all the advice people gave me.

I applied in December 17th, 2020 and did my interview in Las Vegas, today. The interview was smooth and easy and the officer was friendly and approved my application after interview and said, will put me in the oath ceremony list. When I got home, I had several notifications from USCIS and noticed the oath ceremony is scheduled for February 17th and posted under documents tab. I'm so glad the whole process of my immigration is over and hope the same for all you guys here.
