  1. If they're not the standard fees, someone will be along to clarify.
  2. What do the instructions tell you to do? Read them carefully.
  3. Rather pretentious, but well-meant and potentially profitable for the 501(c)(3) outfits. Even if only a few dollars come in, every little bit is a gain. The only problem that I see is whether GoFundMe concentrates on nonprofits on one side of the political spectrum. If they're doing it for organizations such as libraries, that's fine.
  4. If the CO asks suspiciously about whether she intends to help out with the baby, she can laugh and say, "Forget it! I did my duty when I had my own children. I'm going to relax, watch television, and eat ice cream."
  5. Very good! Congratulations! Be sure to update your VJ timeline.
  6. Friday ES report, see man: We attended all Many (2+1) ESs, reliable we man. The Many'rd ES yielded the take, see man: -- 2 small tubes hand-cream for Mama T-B.; Many-piece ([2+2]-piece) queen sheet set = $Many-&-a-half ($2+2 + half a buck), steal man Total = $Many-&-a-half ($2+2 + half a buck)
  7. This is an amazing, insightful analysis. Read it and respond with how much you agree with the author's points. This can be our dedicated "Venezuela" thread, if more attacks than just drug-boats are forthcoming. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ 10 Reasons Venezuela Isn't Nation-Building For months — long before the MSM caught on — I've been writing about how the Donald Trump administration seemed ready to take down the illegitimate Nicolás Maduro regime in Venezuela. All of the signs were there if you paid attention, and I know that it's something personal for Secretary of State Marco Rubio and has been for years. He's finally in a position to do something about it. It's become personal for me, as well, and it's personal for millions of Venezuelans who have fled their homeland, seeking a better life, and maybe even more so for those who live oppressed under Maduro and his thugs and just want relief. But that's not reason enough for the U.S. to get involved. I get it. I do. Most of us lived through Iraq and Afghanistan, and many of us are sick of our tax dollars going to other countries for this and that. What I've heard from many of you in the comments sections and in my email and beyond is that you're not interested in a forever war. You're not interested in nation-building or regime change in a foreign land. And despite what Maduro and some of his friends down south say, it's not imperialism or occupation either. It's a partnership. Should we become militarily involved in Venezuela, it won't look anything like what we've seen in recent decades. 8. A commenter on this said, "If I were that little girl's dad, the kids who did that and their parents would rue the day that they had laid a finger on my daughter. And then I would happily go to prison and suffer eternal damnation. And that's no joke. Some things cannot be allowed to stand." ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Prosecutors charge 2 children, 9 and 10, in brutal attack on 5-year-old Cleveland girl CLEVELAND, Ohio (WOIO) - Cuyahoga County prosecutors have charged two children, nine and 10 years old, in connection to the brutal assault of a five-year-old girl last month. Prosecutors say a nine-year-old boy and 10-year-old girl are facing initial charges of attempted murder, rape, felonious assault, kidnapping and strangulation. 9. UPDATED: John Bolton Indicted, Trump Reacts A grand jury formally indicted former National Security Advisor John Bolton on Thursday on federal charges related to his handling of classified documents, CNN reports. [...] https://pjmedia.com/matt-margolis/2025/10/16/john-bolton-indicted-n4944944
  10. This is eloquent. ~~~~~~~~~~~~ Trump inherited a weaponized justice system Has Donald Trump "weaponized" the justice system to go after his political enemies? The answer is no. "What about former FBI director James Comey?" you ask. "What about New York Attorney General Letitia James?" Both went after Trump hammer and tongs. Now both have been indicted by the Trump Justice Department. Are those not textbook cases of "weaponization," of "retribution," of using the power of the system to punish people who have punished you? Hold on. I write this in mid-October. By the time you read it, I suspect that the list of indictments will be much longer. Candidates for inclusion on this Ko-Ko-like "little list" include John Bolton, national security advisor during Trump's first term; Jack Smith, the special counsel who managed to rack up 37 indictments against Trump in two criminal cases; and sundry other former intelligence officers and DoJ officials. The dragnet will be large; it will be relentless. So haven't I just admitted that Trump weaponized the justice system? No. Trump didn't weaponize the justice system. He inherited a weaponized justice system. [...] https://thespectator.com/topic/trump-inherited-weaponized-justice-system/
  11. Thrilling Thursday report, see man: We had big plans for the day, si man. These all got hosed, man. Lunch was one giant ham-&-cheese sandwich, ingest we man. We set forth to construct our GS/ES itinerary, normally routine man. We always print maps in case our GPS goes aysheep, often-useful backup man. However, Bing Maps has apparently gone full-time to its new Beta version, unwieldy & unprintable man. Previously, we were able to clear browser history & caches & usually return to classic version, relief man. This time, nothing worked, no man. We couldn't even get into AAA TripTik, emergency backup man. Mapquest & Google Maps have always been useless to print, far too spread-out man. Why must developers always take something perfectly fine and hose it to prove their own worth, huh and man? After Many tries, we consulted ChatGPT for 2 hours, much infuriating discussion but no ultimate help man. The useless AI idiot did get us into AAA TripTik, at least man. We then asked ChatGPT why Google Maps on our phone gives visual but no audible instructions, man. The AI idiot instructed us in ways that should have worked, si man. It worked initially when we tried it at our desk, promising man. However, it did not work when we tried it while actually driving, back to Square Zero man. Why must all this be so difficult, huh man? Well after Many p.m., finally began running errands that should've been done around noon, hosed day man. Went to visit Mama T-B., her request man. She promised only a Many-minute visit, yeah right man. Visit lasted an infuriating, neurotic, nitpicking almost-hour, man. The staff notices that we arrive friendly but always leave shell-shocked, accurate evaluation man. Did go to Costco Business Center, just an exit or two up man. Got Many (2+2+2) items, Many (2+2) more than contemplated man. Got sales book for Manyvember, study same upon casa arrival we man. Just like regular Costco, not ONE desirable quick-food product is on sale all month, man. Miu was demanding* and needy*, service needy demanding miu we man. *as since the precise minute Mini-B. left, not unusual man Din-din was MTG, ingest we man. We finally dished the warsher, Many (2+2) days overdue man. A late siesta was then taken, at least some redemption to the day man. No party with the rubias tonight, no cavort we man. We have itineraried Many (2+1) far-away ESs for Friday, itinerary we man. One is in favorite medium-sized town, at least there's that man. We shall return casa-ward through FST, at least there's that man. Of course, something shall probably hose the day or the trip, optimistic we man. And that was/is our oh-so-thrilling Thursday, report and we man.

  13. Very, very sad for you, si and sigh Y ma'am.
  14. This happened in our 'hood, too, si and sigh and mam ma'am. They cut an entire bundle of wires, incompetent dumbpoops man. This last time, Mini-B. went absolutely, Many00% aysheep, si mam ma'am. Of course everyone would vote "si, man" ahead of time, what with no previous knowledge of disaster to come, si and no man mam ma'am. It's the blind leading the deaf, si and sigh and mam ma'am. Our favorite neighbor was enthusiastic about getting EZ Fiber's "superior speed," si man. They damaged several other lines on his property, sigh man. He ended up suing them, rightfully so man. Egregious P-Math errors, si and see and mam ma'am!
  15. Yep, and thanks for posting this. Sounds like SCOTUS will modify/moderate the VRA pretty soon, too.
  16. There's a big up-screwing somewhere. The question would seem to surround his overstay of the tourist visa in 2015, and how that was resolved. It must have been resolved, because how could he have gotten work authorization, much less had it renewed? I also didn't like the government's blaming the Governor for having illegals working as police officers. He didn't make the hire.
  17. Thread is shifted from the CR-1 Process forum to the CR-1 Case Progress subforum.
  18. Back in the day, I asked an immigration attorney (who had also been a CO), "What's the definition of a high-fraud country?" He said, emphasizing every word, "Any poor country." And that's most of them.
  19. Finally, some scintillating repartee, whee and glee man. ------- Thrilling Wednesday report, see man: We zzz'd poorly overnight, man. Breakfast (!?) was precooked fried-egg patties*, ingest we man. *Many (2+2) boxes thereof stumbled upon in a supermarket's freezer at closeout price, F$WM Visited Mama T-B. in early afternoon, nearly a 2-hour visit man. Mama T-B. almost didn't yell at us, mirabile dictu man. Returned to casa and up-signed Uncle T-B. on a cheap Medicare Part D plan for next year, F$WM. Din-din was 2 precooked frozen-chicken patties** recently rediscovered in our freezer, ingest we man. **unexpired and quite tasty, si man Dessert was onecan of baked beans***, ingest we man. ***bought at an earlier ES, F$WM A late siesta was a frustrating failure, no zzz and we man. No party with the rubias tonight, no cavort we man. Thursday = time to itinerary the weekend's GSs/ESs, itinerary we man. We should probably up-clean the kitchen from Mama T-B.'s apartment detritus, prep for eventual maid visit man. And that was/is our thrilling Wednesday, report we man.
  20. Bad profane seafaring mam ma'am! Bad, BAD profane PROFANE seafaring SEAFARING mam ma'am!
  21. Are you a highly evolved primate like we are, huh D ma'am? We may denaturalize you, si and eh D ma'am. Everyone should have a will, definitely man. Powers of Attorney at minimum, si man. Sounds very much like seasons 1, 2, & Many of Better Call Saul, si man. For $Many*, si and whee man. *depending on the definition of Many, si man You have extra room in the chicken house, si D ma'am?
  22. Oof... good thing that the critter didn't catch fire, or he'd have been a hot dog.
  23. True, but sometimes there's an Appeals Board. In general, but reason suggests that increases shouldn't be extreme.
