  1. Yes, interview is in a few weeks at the local embassy. Their interviews were both scheduled at the same time.
  2. For marriage based green cards at the embassy, do you still need to present proof of relationship even though the I-130 was already approved? If so ae photos alone ok? Also, what kind of questions will they ask a step child for their interview as well?
  3. Thanks for clarifying. So how can you get the green card in the married name?
  4. Passport wasnt updated due to the visitor visa being issued before marriage.
  5. She took my last name when we got married. Thats why its a bit confusing because the DS 260 wants the passport name regardless if its the married name or not. Thats why im also curious what name will the green card be in then. Because the I 130 was approved in the married name as well. But for some reason the DS 260 has everything in the passport name.
  6. Thanks. In that case, what name is printed on the green card?
  7. This is a little confusing. For the I-864 when you are listing the name for the principal immigrant/beneficiary, do you list the name in the passport or the marriage name? My wife's marriage name is not the one in her passport, it is her maiden name in the passport. The reason I am asking is because the DS-260 they want the name in the passport. So also, what name is printed on the green card? This is kind of confusing and there are no straight forward answers when I contact the embassy. Has anyone been through this or know what exactly is the correct answer?
  8. So basically if the card is issued 2.5 years into the marriage it will be a 10 year green card?
  9. If you are married under 2 years when the I-130 is approved then when you are granted the green card your marriage date has past 2 years, do you qualify for a conditional green card or a 10 year green card? Is the approval considered when the I-130 was approved or when you go for the interview?
  10. Aug 4, 2023 PD March 25, 2025 Actively reviewing case March 26, 2025 Approved went from Texas SC to Vermont SC at some point
  11. I-130 finally approved after contacting my local congressman. What is the next step from here?
