    My friend said the k1 visa was approved at the embassy in Bogota, colombia. They sent a fedex back with only an envelope of documents, but the passport was not sent back. Is this normal, or does the passport come at another time?

    Hello, I am trying to help my friend as the instructions are not clear. He filed the DS160 for his fiance. Received a confirmation page. Its a bit confusing. Was told to schedule the imterview but no dates are available or does the embassy do it for you? After getting the interview date do you then book the medical a few days before? Also is it a seperate date for the biometrics? If so, how do you schedule that or is it at the same time as the interview?

    The back shows the same as the front. The 2 letters missing from the middle name.

    My wife received her physical green card. Her middle name is cut off by 2 letters. Should i File an I-90, or is it because the first and middle name are too long to fit? It is hard to reach someone live at the uscis number.

    Yes we ticked it off. But I was told by someone sometimes it doesnt get processed and to make an appointment. What do you recommend? Cancel the appointment or wait?

    Do you need the card to apply for a social security number? Or is that automatically done before hand?

    How long did it take for you to receive it?

    How Long does it take for the physical Green Card to be Mailed after entering the USA? Immigrant visa fee was paid prior to entering the USA. Also, is there anyway to track the progress of it? After the payment was made a case# was generated with the receipt and when you track it, it just says expect it in 90 days etc.

    Yes, interview is in a few weeks at the local embassy. Their interviews were both scheduled at the same time.

    For marriage based green cards at the embassy, do you still need to present proof of relationship even though the I-130 was already approved? If so ae photos alone ok? Also, what kind of questions will they ask a step child for their interview as well?
