I gently disagree with others' opinions here. Wife is in good standing as an "applicant for Adjustment" or "Adjustment applicant." (These are terms told to me by an immigration lawyer when Mrs. T-B. was in this phase.) Carry the most recent copies of whatever correspondence to or from USCIS that you have, and all should be well. CBP will detain someone for as long as it takes to determine who he/she is and the status (this from an agent in answer to my direct question). I agree with Dashinka, Edward, Salish, et al. -- the fact that you sent the stuff ahead, unsolicited, explains the situation to my satisfaction (and I still have traumatic flashbacks about my own experiences). As they say, bring it all plus more to the interview, and that will satisfy the protocol. Ask them about this when you're there, and report back. If my current assumption is correct, then what a relief!

The question is: Were all of the above part of the I-129F petition that Cairo got from USCIS, or did you somehow send these materials separately, yourself, directly to Cairo in advance of your interview?

Got foto of Mini-B. enlarged to Many" x Many", compliant we man. Did/got/delivered all while Mama T-B. at lunch, efficient we man. Went to look at complex's recycle bins, recent Subway coupons man. They'd just been emptied, man! We were royally steamed but plotted a return visit, coincided with below man. Used store coupons at CVS to save approx. half off something, financially savvy we man. Got extra $Many-off coupons from register receipt, heaven man. Store didn't have other needed product, no man. Went to second CVS to save approx. half off that, financially savvy we man. Got our hairs cut, Many weeks overdue man. Barberette was Natalia from Argentina, blue eyes black hair quite congenial she man. Divorced with 2 kids ages Many & Many years respectively, Strike 1 man. Looked far older than she should have, Strike 2 man. Gravelly voice, Strike Many (2+1) man. Too tired/busy to date, Strike Many (2+2) man. We therefore didn't ask for her number, lots like that man. Advice: Collect everything possible; more crucial when you arrive early and are together. Normal: Never heard of this. Why: Mistake? Rogue CO? New IV Visa Chief with new procedures? Just wild guesses. Contact: Let's wait a bit to see if our expert chimes in.

I never heard of a consulate rejecting "proof of bona fide relationship" before an interview. We had ours rejected at the first interview, regardless of the reality that USCIS had seen it with the I-129F. Fiancee even brought more along, but they refused to consider it and kicked her out without even a 221(g). Consulates are not supposed to reject evidence that they know USCIS has seen. My presumption is that there are red flags, or a rogue CO, or known or unknown standards to be met. Maybe I'm completely misunderstanding what's going on. I'm going to enlist someone knowledgeable and invite him to join this thread. Meanwhile, begin collecting absolutely everything that you can get your hands on that supports the relationship.

Whatever else you submit, get to your fiancee several days early and take (and print) copious photos together, gather as many mutual receipts as possible, and everything else you can think of, and absolutely overwhelm them at the consular window with current evidence. This does NOT sound good at all.

When you X out her address on her refused mail, also mark out the bar code printed by USPS at envelope bottom. Sometimes, refused mail will come back to you again because that bar code gets read.
