VAWA, Part 27
TBoneTX replied to TBoneTX's topic in Effects of Major Family Changes on Immigration Benefits
It is Sunday, and therefore time for our Official Weekly VAWA-Thread Joke: =========================================== THE SILENT FART An old couple was sitting in church, and the wife noticed that people were staring at her. She leaned across to her husband and whispered, "I just let go a silent fart. What do you think I should do?" He said, "I think you should put fresh batteries in your hearing aid." -

The only thing he wouldn't/couldn't do was try to paint our siding, beyond hope man. We were very well-pleased, couple of items done that we hadn't planned on being completed man. Miu viewed all indoor operations with great interest, interested miu man. We did have to run to Home Despot to buy caulk and another curtain for the bookcase, buy we man. The rest of Uncle T-B.'s old HD gift card covered half of that purchase, financially savvy we man. After paying Ecu handyman, we gave him the remaining tubes of caulk plus a bottle of Bana-nina, generous we man. Immediately after he left, Mama T-B. called, si man. She wanted us to pick up stuff and talk about Mini-B., si man. She gave us a rose for ex-Mrs.-T-B., cake for Mini-B., & lunch for us, si man. She wanted to know why Mini-B. is upset and no longer wants to live with us, si man. We explained as best we could, presumably correctable man. Mama T-B. quite upset about this situation, sigh man. Delivered stuff to ex-Mrs.-T-B., deliver we man. During up-cleaning, we had found an old necklace that she had bought at one point, return we man to ex-she man man. She paid us $Many ($2x2x2 +2) for the 2 filing-fixtures brought earlier, financially savvy we man. We returned the Target.com purchase for refund, no longer needed after curtain installation man. Lunch was salad, baked potato, dinner roll, & sliced brisket, ingest we man. A major siesta was then taken, zzz we man. Much casa-decluttering then occurred, declutter we man. Din-din was toucans of Chef B. Beefaroni, ingest we man. Our one LL is warshed & baked & to be folded, fold we man. Warsher is dished, must de-dish later we man. No formal plans for Monday other than chauffeuring Mama T-B. to doctor, chauffeur we man. No party with the rubias tonight, no cavort we man. And that was/is our thrilling Sunday, report we man.

New Pope Now Second-Most Influential Christian Named 'Bob' WORLD — After ascending to the role of Pope this week, former Bishop Robert Prevost has now taken the title of the second most influential Christian in the world named "Bob", narrowly losing out to Bob the Tomato. Though the new Supreme Pontiff will serve as Holy Father to the world's 1.4 billion Catholics, his influence has yet to rise to the lofty heights of the venerable tomato also known as "Bob." "The Pope is a close second, don't get me wrong," said seminary professor Dr. Art Moody. "But [...] https://babylonbee.com/news/new-pope-now-second-most-influential-christian-named-bob

Letitia James Hides From Trump DOJ By Painting Herself Bronze And Standing Very, Very Still In Times Square NEW YORK, NY — In a desperate move to evade Trump's Department of Justice, New York Attorney General Letitia James painted herself bronze and is standing very, very still in Times Square. Thus far the gambit appears to have paid off, with people believing James to be a statue of an obese, unkempt woman who "challenges perceived notions of representation." "Just be still, Letitia. They'll never suspect it," said James, hands on her hips. "Look at the dolts taking pictures of me as I hide in plain sight. Oh, you are a clever shrew, Letitia." While initially successful, the plan hit a snag [...] https://babylonbee.com/news/letitia-james-hides-from-trump-doj-by-painting-herself-bronze-and-standing-very-very-still-in-times-square

This is indeed generous of you to say for those here who are currently discouraged. --- Thread is moved from the "AOS from K Visas" Case Progress subforum to the Site Discussion forum. -
San Antonio USCIS - Adjustment of Status Interview

Edward is precisely correct. You can relax. -
Try to avoid overcomplicating things and confusing airline staff. "Here's my valid U.S. visa, and here's my valid current passport." And yes, your experience will be valuable to others here.

Stressed about CBP interview for Japanese fiance
TBoneTX replied to gandalf1989's topic in Tourist Visas
She should tell the CBP agent, "This visit is intended to generate evidence of a bona fide relationship for the filing of the I-130 and the subsequent CR-1 visa interview at the embassy in Tokyo. My good travel history from my January visit is in your records." If the agent remains dubious, especially regarding her unemployment, she should say, "This break between jobs is ideal for generating evidence of a bona fide relationship for the filing of the I-130 and the subsequent CR-1 visa interview at the embassy in Tokyo. My good travel history from my January visit is in your records." If she's asked why she's marrying in the U.S., say, "It's difficult and time-consuming to obtain marriage certificates in Japan, and translations of them, for the filing of the I-130 and the subsequent CR-1 visa interview at the embassy in Tokyo. My good travel history from my January visit is in your records." It's crucial to hammer these points incessantly. If the agent is in a bad mood (many of them are typically in a foul mood and looking to nail somebody), she should say, "Sir/ma'am, may we please involve a supervisor at this point?" If her English is too weak for the above, she should ask for a Japanese translator or recruit a strongly bilingual seatmate from her flight. -
Good attitude. Good plan. Good luck, and be sure to report back to us!

The Habeas Corpus Discussion
TBoneTX replied to hplusj's topic in Current Events and Hot Social Topics
Some self-impressed judge in Seattle or Hawaii will put a stop to it, never fear! Too bad HC isn't suspended in regard to these judges themselves... -
100% Central Chimpanzee, actually, H ma'am. Celebrants in Vatican Square would be required to fling poo at me and each other.
