  1. Scintillating Monday repartee, yawn man. ----- Thrilling Monday-on-Tuesday report, see man: Actually got Many-(2+2+1)&-a-half hours of zzz overnight, amazing man. Breakfast was 2 hard-boiled eggs, ingest we man. At 1 p.m., took Mama T-B. to eye doc, always a Many-hour process man. This time took under Many hours, pleasantly surprised we man. Mama T-B. wanted Subway* for lunch/din-din, so did we man. *bought WUOC + gift card, financially savvy we man Mama T-B. ingested hers separately, ingest senior she man. We ingested ours at the casa, ingest we man. A nice siesta was taken thereafter, imagine zzz-ing successfully twice in a row we man. We tackled the junk + papers atop our bar area, tackle we man. It was a lot less work than we'd figured, one big pile already semi-sorted previously man. We also went through the various drawers under the bar, clean & consolidate we man. A very heavy trash-bag was created, hope bag doesn't break man. Much more recycling was created, curbsided bin extremely heavy man. We must now clear the little stuff from the bar and wipe it down, dusty man. Next will be our kitchen table, piles of recent papers there man. Then will come the moving of piles on the floor to appropriate rooms/locales, out-of-place man. Then will come the moving of bowls et al. from atop the glass cooktop in the kitchen, declutter man. The end of the downstairs process is almost in sight, almost see we man man. No party with the rubias tonight, no cavort we man. Must take Uncle T-B. for blood labs early Tuesday, assist vampires we man. And that was/is our thrilling Monday, report we man.
  2. Glad to hear it. Thanks for dropping back in!
  3. Welcome to the forum! A post in (?) Portuguese has been removed -- please use English-only outside the regional forums. At which consulate will you eventually interview for the visa? This is crucial to know. Atop every VJ page is a dropdown for "Office Reviews & Info" so you can research and gain insights. You can read recent reviews by, and send messages to, others who have recently gone through the consulate. USCIS has its specific requirements for adjudicating the I-129F petition. Each consulate then applies country-specific standards for the K-1 visa interview. For tough consulates (in high-fraud countries), we recommend "front-loading" the petition package. This includes extra "evidence of a bona fide relationship" such as the items that you suggest. Including ALL chats is overkill; supply a few meaningful examples over time, if you can. Because you apparently can't, a sample of the chat backup list can suffice, if you need it. Your letter of explanation should be enough, for now. (Avoid including anything where you playfully call each other "husband/wife" or "hubby/wifey"!) The documents about the denied tourist visa probably won't help. The consulate will know about it anyway. It's utterly natural to be nervous about this part of the process! For perspective, see here: http://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/410945-k-1-journey-completed/ All the best to you, and create your VJ timeline!
  4. Unless you need a crisp copy per OldUser, or want one, you can sigh and try to put it out of your mind. Another avenue would be to contact your Congressman's or Senator's office to see if they can get a fresh one for you without your having to pay. I imagine they'd be happy to help.

  6. Thanks for the update. It's been years, but I remain grateful that we were only 7 miles from biometrics. Keep us apprised about your case.
  7. Try this. We can't say what will happen.
  8. If he has a good travel history of visiting other countries and then returning home on time, it might help.
  9. The topic title has been edited to conform with the title of the cited article.
  10. 1. Asking for your passports and fresh records is a very good sign. Approval might be imminent. 2. This might delay things considerably. 3. Update it, and be sure that the new residents at your old address are aware of the mail, just in case.
  11. Cool! I can never decide whether these are residential units, methods of birth control, or endangered birds of prey.
  12. It is Sunday, and therefore time for our Official Weekly VAWA-Thread Joke: =========================================== THE SILENT FART An old couple was sitting in church, and the wife noticed that people were staring at her. She leaned across to her husband and whispered, "I just let go a silent fart. What do you think I should do?" He said, "I think you should put fresh batteries in your hearing aid."
  13. Scintillating Sunday repartee, yawn man. ------- Thrilling Sunday & Casa-Repair report, see man: Awoke long before alarm, this is getting quite old man. Breakfast was 2 hard-boiled eggs, ingest we man. Ecu handyman showed up 2 minutes early, always-punctual he man. In Many-plus hours, he did the following, see man: -- covered our downstairs storage bookcases with improvised curtains, all covered man -- replaced aerators on both master-bath faucets, what a difference man -- changed a (high) light bulb in master bedroom, thin air up there man -- carried our ES ottoman up to master bedroom, both pieces at once man -- carried mini-fridge up to our office, amazing strength man -- carried heavy wooden unit downstairs, gravity helps man -- tightened all Allen connections on miu-tree, miu won't shake them loose for a while man -- reattached backyard downspout with use of flexible plastic tubing, inventive man -- repaired/caulked back door, caulk he man -- reattached electric meter to side of casa with flex tubing + caulk, inventive man -- removed Many-inch ([2+2+1]-inch) tree stump with use of hammer & chisel, inventive man -- carried 2 filing-fixtures to ex-Mrs.-T-B.'s casa, so much of our casa space freed up man Total charge was $Many ($2x2x2x2x2x2x2 - 2x2x2) -- si man, only $Many ($2x2x2x2x2x2x2 - 2x2x2) -- amazing man. The only thing he wouldn't/couldn't do was try to paint our siding, beyond hope man. We were very well-pleased, couple of items done that we hadn't planned on being completed man. Miu viewed all indoor operations with great interest, interested miu man. We did have to run to Home Despot to buy caulk and another curtain for the bookcase, buy we man. The rest of Uncle T-B.'s old HD gift card covered half of that purchase, financially savvy we man. After paying Ecu handyman, we gave him the remaining tubes of caulk plus a bottle of Bana-nina, generous we man. Immediately after he left, Mama T-B. called, si man. She wanted us to pick up stuff and talk about Mini-B., si man. She gave us a rose for ex-Mrs.-T-B., cake for Mini-B., & lunch for us, si man. She wanted to know why Mini-B. is upset and no longer wants to live with us, si man. We explained as best we could, presumably correctable man. Mama T-B. quite upset about this situation, sigh man. Delivered stuff to ex-Mrs.-T-B., deliver we man. During up-cleaning, we had found an old necklace that she had bought at one point, return we man to ex-she man man. She paid us $Many ($2x2x2 +2) for the 2 filing-fixtures brought earlier, financially savvy we man. We returned the Target.com purchase for refund, no longer needed after curtain installation man. Lunch was salad, baked potato, dinner roll, & sliced brisket, ingest we man. A major siesta was then taken, zzz we man. Much casa-decluttering then occurred, declutter we man. The downstairs sofa is now cleared of all extraneous stuff, now sittable man. Many-year-old phone books behind an end-table are now in recycle bin, recycle we man. Various collected items of unclear use are now trashed, never miss them we man man. A heavy CD rack (?) from upstairs is now curbsided, should've had Ecu handyman lug it down man. Din-din was toucans of Chef B. Beefaroni, ingest we man. Our one LL is warshed & baked & to be folded, fold we man. Warsher is dished, must de-dish later we man. No formal plans for Monday other than chauffeuring Mama T-B. to doctor, chauffeur we man. No party with the rubias tonight, no cavort we man. And that was/is our thrilling Sunday, report we man.

  16. New Pope Now Second-Most Influential Christian Named 'Bob' WORLD — After ascending to the role of Pope this week, former Bishop Robert Prevost has now taken the title of the second most influential Christian in the world named "Bob", narrowly losing out to Bob the Tomato. Though the new Supreme Pontiff will serve as Holy Father to the world's 1.4 billion Catholics, his influence has yet to rise to the lofty heights of the venerable tomato also known as "Bob." "The Pope is a close second, don't get me wrong," said seminary professor Dr. Art Moody. "But [...] https://babylonbee.com/news/new-pope-now-second-most-influential-christian-named-bob
  17. Letitia James Hides From Trump DOJ By Painting Herself Bronze And Standing Very, Very Still In Times Square NEW YORK, NY — In a desperate move to evade Trump's Department of Justice, New York Attorney General Letitia James painted herself bronze and is standing very, very still in Times Square. Thus far the gambit appears to have paid off, with people believing James to be a statue of an obese, unkempt woman who "challenges perceived notions of representation." "Just be still, Letitia. They'll never suspect it," said James, hands on her hips. "Look at the dolts taking pictures of me as I hide in plain sight. Oh, you are a clever shrew, Letitia." While initially successful, the plan hit a snag [...] https://babylonbee.com/news/letitia-james-hides-from-trump-doj-by-painting-herself-bronze-and-standing-very-very-still-in-times-square
  18. Trump Secures 18 Months Of Free Geek Squad As Part Of India-Pakistan Truce WASHINGTON, D.C. — President Trump has successfully secured 18 months of free Geek Squad service as a condition of negotiating the end of hostilities between India and Pakistan. The Geek Squad coverage will reportedly apply to all devices in the White House, with a special team assigned specifically to President Trump. "It's an incredible deal," said President Trump, making the announcement. 20. I've been pretty lucky with all my renewals and those of my family. Have never been free from being nervous, however.
  21. This is indeed generous of you to say for those here who are currently discouraged. --- Thread is moved from the "AOS from K Visas" Case Progress subforum to the Site Discussion forum.
  22. Edward is precisely correct. You can relax.
  23. Try to avoid overcomplicating things and confusing airline staff. "Here's my valid U.S. visa, and here's my valid current passport." And yes, your experience will be valuable to others here.
  24. She should tell the CBP agent, "This visit is intended to generate evidence of a bona fide relationship for the filing of the I-130 and the subsequent CR-1 visa interview at the embassy in Tokyo. My good travel history from my January visit is in your records." If the agent remains dubious, especially regarding her unemployment, she should say, "This break between jobs is ideal for generating evidence of a bona fide relationship for the filing of the I-130 and the subsequent CR-1 visa interview at the embassy in Tokyo. My good travel history from my January visit is in your records." If she's asked why she's marrying in the U.S., say, "It's difficult and time-consuming to obtain marriage certificates in Japan, and translations of them, for the filing of the I-130 and the subsequent CR-1 visa interview at the embassy in Tokyo. My good travel history from my January visit is in your records." It's crucial to hammer these points incessantly. If the agent is in a bad mood (many of them are typically in a foul mood and looking to nail somebody), she should say, "Sir/ma'am, may we please involve a supervisor at this point?" If her English is too weak for the above, she should ask for a Japanese translator or recruit a strongly bilingual seatmate from her flight.
  25. Good attitude. Good plan. Good luck, and be sure to report back to us!
