  1. An easy interview and a hard one: An unprepared Harris botched them both Vice President Kamala Harris has been on a media tour in the last 48 hours. Like earlier media appearances, the new set of interviews has been with questioners who mostly ranged from friendly to super friendly, including The View, Howard Stern, Stephen Colbert, and the popular podcast Call Her Daddy. (There was one notable exception, which will be discussed later.) During this media tour, Harris has proven that she can make a mess of even the friendliest of interviews and that she can make a mess of more difficult interviews too. And she did both in a way that could have lasting repercussions for her campaign. 2. Wow! ~~~~ From Unqualified to Disqualified Let me start by stating the obvious: Kamala Harris is an awful vice president and an even worse candidate. She would make a lousy president; another four years of Kamala would be the terminal end-stage demise of America. Our precious constitutional republic would be put into hospice care until it wastes away for good. Of course, that’s her ultimate goal. What did you think "overthrow the patriarchy was"? Vibes? Papers? By 2028, this country would be a vassal state of serfs and foreign invaders digitally overseen by domineering and merciless elites who monitor everything we do and say as they extract the last few pennies from under the couch cushions before they usher in permanent one-party rule. Trust me, I'm not looking forward to this. [...] https://tomklingenstein.com/from-unqualified-to-disqualified/
  3. 50 Viking Corpses Could Crack the History Books Wide Open The remains of more than 50 Vikings were uncovered recently in Åsum, a village in Denmark, and their remarkable condition could offer incredible insight into the lives they led. As reported in Archaeology Magazine, a team of archaeologists from Museum Odense were conducting an excavation of the area ahead of a planned upgrade of the local electrical grid. During their dig, they uncovered a burial ground, measuring roughly 2,000 square meters, which held "more than 50 exceptionally well-preserved skeletons," along with five cremation graves. The site has been dated back to the 9th and 10th centuries. [...] https://www.yahoo.com/news/archaeologists-found-remarkably-preserved-skeletons-120000800.html

  5. Hurricanes -- or, in Milton's case, himmicanes -- suck. Glad to hear the preliminarily good news. Tampa sure escaped, given the reverse surge. I'm curious what Tampa natives are called -- Tampons, Tampaxians? Every time I've asked one, I get a dirty look and no answer.

  11. Tragic: Waffle House Closures Force Thousands Of Crackheads To Go Fight Out In The Streets TAMPA, FL — As yet another tragic side-effect of the impending destruction expected to be caused by Hurricane Milton when it makes landfall, experts predicted the wave of Waffle House closures would force crackheads to go fight out in the streets. The phenomenon known as the "Waffle House Index" — an unofficial scale in which closures of Waffle House locations are used to gauge the severity of a disaster — indicated that the arrival of the hurricane on Florida's western coast would, in all likelihood, leave the region's miscreants without their standard location for physical altercations. 13. Despite Loss, First Female NHL Coach Says She Was Happy To See Her Team Score So Many Touchdowns SEATTLE, WA — A historic milestone was reached in the sport of hockey last night, and despite losing the first game of the season, the first female NHL coach said she was happy to see her team score so many touchdowns. Seattle Kraken Assistant Coach Jessica Campbell, the first female on any NHL coaching staff, said she was disappointed in the team's 3-2 loss to the St. Louis Blues but the fact that the team scored two touchdowns left her feeling encouraged about the team's prospects for the season. "I'm hopeful we'll be able to kick a lot of home runs in our upcoming matches," Campbell said following the game. 16. Here's a refreshingly positive view. Comments on it? ~~~~~~~~~~~~~ The 2020 Theft Saved This Country Self-professed radio guru Jessie Kelly recently did a show discussing the reality that, often, what seems like a win in life can turn out to be a loss, and what seems like a loss can turn out to be a win. I was thinking about this regarding the uproar from the vice-presidential debate question to JD Vance whether he thought Trump lost in 2020. First, let's state the obvious… of course, Trump won in 2020. The statistics are overwhelming. Leftists often try to use statistics to "prove" racial discrimination in all sorts of situations. For some reason, they don't seem to have the same desires and statistical certitude regarding the overwhelming statistical evidence that Trump won. Combine this with the truckload of obvious -- and unexplainable -- shenanigans across many states and it is clear the rightful winner was Trump. And in all honesty, it still pisses me off that this was done in what was once the freest, greatest country the world has ever seen. And worse yet, so many -- on both the Right and Left -- were okay with it. Anything to keep that monster Trump out of office. So, at first glance, this looks like -- and felt like -- a significant loss for the right and conservatism. Upon their taking office -- and in this situation, it really was taking office -- Biden and company immediately set out to undo basically everything Trump had done. If Trump’s fingerprints were on it, it needed to be killed. Again, this looks like a loss. But was it? If [...] https://www.americanthinker.com/articles/2024/10/the_2020_theft_saved_this_country.html
  17. Bitter Joe is undercutting Kamala At his last presidential debate, President Trump amused millions by letting the cat out of the bag about Joe Biden and Kamala Harris: "I'll give you a little secret. He hates her. He can't stand her." Which is what we appear to be seeing now. Nine weeks have passed since Biden was unceremoniously ousted from the Democrat presidential ticket, and in one incident after another, he's subtly and not-so-subtly undercutting her. He's contradicting her. He's upstaging her. He's making her look stupid. Some recent examples: [...] https://www.americanthinker.com/blog/2024/10/bitter_joe_biden_is_undercutting_kamala_harris.html
  18. Trump demonstrated good presidential judgment in avoiding that 60 Minutes interview President Trump must have known something was 'off' when an aide apparently accepted, and then he rejected, an invitation from 60 Minutes to participate in a candidate's interview with the CBS outlet. The 60 Minutes interview with Harris alone went on anyway, and CBS harrumphed about Trump's supposedly unreasonable refusal to participate in their tradition of long interviews with presidential candidates. But there was nothing unreasonable at all about Trump's refusal to enter the media outlet's little trap. Turns out 60 Minues has been caught in all kinds of tips and tricks from the Harris side of their production that's since been aired. 23. Thread is moved from the K-1 Case Progress subforum to the K-1 Process forum. Welcome to the forum! There are dozens of threads on this topic. If you lack the time or organizational skills to complete your petition yourself, consider a service. The most reliable, and a VJ partner, is: You get what you pay for. Note: I have no conflict of interest in suggesting the above. Actually, you plan to file the I-129F petition. The visa application comes later. Precise terminology is crucial.
