Just wanted to share that me and my fiancée were in a very similar situation, albeit we are much earlier in our journey. I decided to come back to the US in June since I found a good job (in the middle of an economic crisis no less), and while separation is awful, I knew I needed to  find something to support her, especially given the delays in AOS and EAD. We tried to frame it that we were planning for the long term instead of just the easy gratification of being together. So just know you’re not alone.
 
Also regarding the attitudes of some people here, I think the large majority of people have good insight and do have good intentions, even if some of them come across as pretty cold and unsympathetic. 

I think there’s a line between realistic and unsympathetic that often gets blurred here, but that’s just my perception and opinion. Maybe its my mistake thinking this was more of a supportive community. Keep doing you.

I don't know. At this point I'll still take it as some good news. Longer processing times are still not going to be as long as if they furloughed 13,000 people. 

Yea I definitely understand your pain, being separated with no way of knowing what comes next is the worst. However I’d have to agree that buying a return ticket for 2 months when you fully intend to stay for 6 months to avoid questioning would be considered more than just a little white lie, and could have a serious impact if found. Good luck and I hope you two can be reunited soon!  

I mean different people have different circumstances..... I get the CR1 has big advantages, especially during the pandemic, but the amount of K1 bashing I see on this site can be discouraging 

Your situation is a million times better than many here.  Even before Covid (which is the real villain here) many members (including me) spent as much as year or  more separated from our spouses.  I am not criticizing .....just trying to put things into perspective......good luck and hang in there.

Just think of how lucky you are to see her every 3-4 weeks! Many people go a year without seeing their significant other and if this was pre covid you’d still be in normal processing times! Many countries are closed to US citizens so the option of visiting is completely gone AND many countries it costs a fortune to call their significant other and wifi is basically non existent so from my view you guys have a LOT going for you than many many others. One thing you need to know when starting the immigration process is to have patience. Ou can’t predict the future, it is in someone else’s hands. But you can vote in November.

It’s because it’s really easy to criticize and go “well actually!!” When you get to go to bed next to the person you love. Wish we all had that luxury.
