I can't think of any motives other than a personal hatred to that specific person.

I can't imagine thinking it was my business to do this sort of thing and mess with others' lives without speaking with them and telling them what they're doing (if indeed that's what they're doing) is wrong. I would also think that if I were invited to someone's wedding, I would have a close enough relationship with them to counsel them against it because I care about them. That is what friends do -- not engage in life-altering "gotcha" games. Even if I were dead set on reporting them, I would give them a heads up that I was going to notify CBP to give them the opportunity to do it right. That could mean entering and getting married, and then applying for the CR1 without adjusting after.

With the receipt numbers call USCIS and ask about your children's cases. See if they were transferred to another service center.

Hahaha.  Dont let the Secretary of DHS read this.

DHS and DOS are both cabinet level departments.   The secretaries of each department report directly to the president himself.

Hi, so we went through the CR1 (issued with an IR1 by the time I moved!), we made each other beneficiaries on things like our pensions, life insurance etc..... Do not add each other to property though as that can incur tax issues.

I also added him as an authorised card user to my MBNA, we didn't add me to our now joint account until October 2019 so well into the process.

We also got Affidavits from friends and family, notarised (did you get them notarised by a Notary Public?) and they were also accepted.  We weren't asked for financial info, but it's useful for evidence but not actually required. We did use Rapidvisa, but I'd advise looking back to do it alone, we were worried we'd get something wrong.

I haven’t checked my I-145 status since last month due to COVID-19 . Today, while at work, I was tempted to check my status and behold! My status says “new card being produced”.  I wasn’t expecting this, I feel overwhelmed.

I am really short of words right now lol, feels surreal that the K-1 journey has now ended and the path to citizenship is now opened.

    Goodluck to everyone waiting!

What misleading info did I give? That Nigeria is temporarily banned but spousal visas are being waived regardless..? Or that the waiver is at the discretion of the CO? Or that if the beneficiary have a clean slate he or she will be given a visa? Or that as of March 2020 spousal visas were given? Which among the above stated is false Ma'am tour guide? Smh guide other people please. I didn't solicit your guidance neither am I here to guide others. I am here to learn and give my little input.

There is a ban on immigrant visas for Nigeria yes but spousal visas have been greatly waived up until March 2020 before the covid by the COs It is at their discretion. Someone posted the issuance rate of this category of visas from Nigeria some days back. Let's stop misinforming people,

claiming to be all knowing or blatantly trying to be cold with responses. Nigerians have a forum on here an it is up to date with any information you might need @Tjimba you can follow up and see stuff for yourself.

Don't mind anybody trying to discourage you with their negativities. They're still issuing spousal visas to Nigerians who are spouses to UScs. Provided you have your complete documentations, records, clean background and do well at the interview. Like I said earlier, check the Nigerian forum and see success stories and other stuff that will guide you and your spouse.

No, premium processing is only available for certain petitions, namely employment ones with annual caps.

There's multiple EOs with different bans.

A spouse of a USC is exempt from the worldwide ban on IVs, and bans based on physical presence.

Nigerian citizens are subject to PP #9983 (https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/us-visas/visa-information-resources/presidential-proclamation-archive/presidential-proclamation9645.html), which bans IVs on security + identity grounds. Spouse of a USC is not exempt.
A waiver is possible. Historically (only a few months) Nigerians have roughly a 50% waiver approval rate.

Most likely they hit a few really old cases and the automatic system adjusted it to that.
Or they are taking into account having to furlough a decent chunk of their staff.
More likely it's #1...they typically don't publish data on based on things still up in the air.

It's possible that they recently found they still had cases THAT OLD, and decided to finally work on them.
When it comes to processing times, they use the oldest case they're working on to calculate. It does not mean every case will take that long.
