  1. Welcome to the forum. Most of us here have done the process without an attorney but we also put a lot of time into research to file correctly. While relationship evidence can be beneficial for certain applicants who will be going through what we call “tough consulates”, it is not what the I-129f will be adjudicated upon. It’s the evidence of physically meeting within the last 2 years before filing the petition. To clarify, you did meet in April in person and if so, can you present evidence of that such as boarding passes and passport stamps? The best thing to do is familiarize yourself with the instruction to I-129f, it’s a separate document and can be found on USCIS.gov.
  2. *** Topic moved to What Visa do I need forum as OP is inquiring about options ***
  3. *** Topic moved from K1 forum to AOS K1 forum as the question is about health insurance impact on AOS *** No, it’s not grounds for denial but joint health insurance is one of the evidences of bona fide marriage. I suppose if you have other strong evidence this could be “excused”. So if the interview wait is over a year long, you’re planning to be uninsured for that whole time?? That’s concerning. I don’t think anyone plans on getting injured but it does happen, hence it’s called an accident. Medical bills bankrupt people in the US, I don’t think you should approach this so lightly. When I came to the US on a K1, my husband didn’t have insurance through a job but we got a proper full health insurance through NY Marketplace and he got some tax credits to lower our monthly premium.
  4. No. It needs to be what you’re making right now, not previously.
  5. *** Threads on the topic merged. Please do not start multiple threads pertaining to one topic (in this case USCIS timeline to cash a check) and keep all further follow up questions in this thread only ***

  7. No because that’s a different category. You can’t carry over that time to a different category. Once your case became IR1 you were placed, for a lack of a better term, to the back of the line of the IR1 for Islamabad. And that line is that long that it takes 2 years to get an interview
  8. The 2 year wait is for spouses of US citizens. I’m not sure what this means
  9. It’s about a 2 year wait after you’re DQ’d at NVC for an interview for IR1. Not quick but much much quicker than if you were a GC holder.
  10. *** Topic moved from CR1/IR1 spousal visa forum to General discussion forum as this is post visa process ***
  11. Topic moved from K3 forum to IR1/CR1 spousal visa forum as, from what it looks like, that is the only option available. @Blackstone creating threads asking essentially the same question as years previously is considered spamming and is a TOS violation. Please don’t do that. Answers haven’t changed from when you first asked about this in 2012. Thanks. VJ Moderation

  13. *** Topic moved from Progress Reports to Process & Procedures *** If You File Online If you file your form online, the system will guide you through the process of paying your fees with a credit, debit, or pre-paid card. Bank account withdrawals are also available when paying online. Once you are ready to submit your form, the system will automatically direct you to the secure Department of Treasury site, pay.gov, to pay your fees online. We only use pay.gov to process fees. Always check the website address before you pay. Beware of scam websites and scammers who may pretend to be a USCIS website. https://www.uscis.gov/forms/filing-fees#:~:text=Once you are ready to,to be a USCIS website.

  23. No, that is insufficient. Anyone can write a statement claiming one is a US citizen. Ask him to obtain proper evidence of US citizenship.
