I don't know who told you this was a good idea, but (not trying to be rude) stop listening to con artists. You only get one chance to establish a trustworthy relationship with the US government. Trying to pull this nonsense will eventually lead to trying to do other crazy things that eventually will get your wife banned permanently. And only cause someone said it was a "good" idea.  There are great tools and resources available on this site to help navigate the petition process. Read and follow that.

Don't just get a refund.  Report them to their local association.  What they suggested is immigration fraud.

    Hi Carl

Did NVC mention that they were expediting your son's case? My daughter's case was expedited by USCIS, NVC and the US Embassy in Manila and they still took nearly 3 months to interview her. It really takes a while and unless you have a bona fide emergency (ageing out, financial hardship, humanitarian reasons, etc) they will not expedite his interview.

The CDC currently requires negative COVID test within 1 calendar day of flight, even if fully vaccinated.

Her country has nothing to do with anything. I have been married to a Filipina for 11 years (we've been together for 15 years) and she is one of the best people I know.

Why??? Why in the world would you do that? Here is something you need to learn and think VERY hard about:

A person can only do to you what you allow them to do to you.

You have spent years accepting her behavior and you have created a monster. I love my Pinay wife with all my heart but, I would never accept her treating me the way that you describe.
Do this to me and I would pull out suitcases and start packing them. I would asks if she would like a ride somewhere of should I call an Uber?
I would simply laugh. I am 2x her weight and 1 foot taller than her.
I would get a lawn chair and just go in front with an ice chest and hang out. Maybe invite some friends over.

You are saying you can't a lot...Why? You are a grown man and can do whatever you want to do. You relinquished all of your power to her. Like I said you allowed it and you created a monster. It may be impossible to get that power back.

If she want's to go let her. You should never be begging for someone to stay. Like I said before I love my wife with all of my heart but the minute she does not to be in the relationship she can go. I would never want someone that did not want me. No way to be in a relationship.

It's 12 years of your life too not to mention a countless amount of money.

You need to do a 180 in your way of thinking and the way you are in your relationship. NEVER reward bad behavior. NEVER. Grow a pair and remember. She will only do to you what you allow.

No specific POE required. You can take whatever flight works best for your budget. Congratulations on the visa!

Any POE.  Just make sure she allows plenty of time between her POE arrival and a connecting flight.  I recommend about 3 or 4 hours if possible.

any flight that u find that is cheapest
    round trip or one way

watch the layovers  to make sure they don't require a transit visa
BTW Canada does not require one if the person has a valid US visa

What to watch for is online tickets that come as 2 separate tickets
when they are and  u have to pick up a new ticket at a layover country ,  u have to pick up luggage and go thru customs

i like to make sure my luggage is checked into the final designation (ticket and boarding passes all picked up when i check in )

we bought one way from Morocco to Nashville
took us from Casablance to Doha,  Qatar to Chicago for US POE to Nashville

I agree with the others.  Personally, I would avoid LA, Chicago or NY.  There are regular flights from Korea and Japan into Detroit and CBP has a nice set-up there for arrivals as well as getting on a connecting flight.

FINAL UPDATE for daughter: My daughter has received her US passport and we have been instructed to return her green card to USCIS along with the photo page of her passport.
UPDATE for wife: During medical exam prior to interview, the chest X-ray indicated a possibility of TB. So, we have to wait 2 months for cultures to come back. FYI, sent her for Xpert MTB/RIF test and all was clear, but US embassy requires this 2 months. Her medical exam is scheduled to resume/be completed on 4/18.

I would like to add this. USCIS, NVC and USEM have been amazing. They really did everything they could, even in the midst of a global pandemic, to finish her IV in less than 9 months. Kudos to them.

My daughter did her PDOS yesterday. It was a very fast and easy process. I took less than 3 hours to receive the barcoded temporary certificate that she needs to show the Bureau of Immigration at NAIA.

Does your daughter have to do PDOS with an online session?  On June 10th, they told me this via Facebook messenger?

Assuming your step daughter has an immigrant/permanent resident visa, she only need to register because the peer counseling seminar for 13-19 years is currently suspended until further notice. thank you.

Have they restarted actual sessions for the 13-19 year olds?
