Hey, guys! We requested for an EAD expedite. Faxed evidence yesterday, didn't get a reply, so I faxed it again this morning. Got a "Card is Being Produced" email before noon! Yaay!
 
We used the severe financial loss reason. All we submitted was a cover letter, the email that they sent asking for evidence, and the offer letter.
 
I used efax.com because I tried to fax it in using the machine multiple times and could not go through.

start applying for other jobs now. It takes about 2-3 weeks to start a job anyways. On your resume state that you are looking for a July 1st start date. That’ll buy you some time and by then you should have your card. 
 
I’m totally assuming here - but, maybe it’s a good idea to find something different. I mean, to have a company be so unwilling and unsympathetic is horrible. Maybe this is happening to so you can find employment with a great employer. 
 
That is 100% what I would do - start from ground zero, start over!

I have basically given up hope though. Today is the day I need to hand in my notice to my supervisor to ensure a smooth transition to someone new in my role. Unfortunately, having an approved expedite isn't enough for them. I need to have the card on hand. I hope you face better luck!

Do it, today! Don't wait until they let go more people. Call USCIS, tell them you want to expedite because of financial hardship and don't explain anything further, not needed. Start applying and get a job offer so you can reply to their fax/letter right away. Do it even if it is just for the sake of getting EAD. Mention the baby in the cover letter when you send your job offer as proof of financial hardship. You have nothing to lose here. All the best!

Two updates on my green card today!
 
First, got my I-485 approval notice in the mail today, it's good to have an official paper confirmation for my records. 
 
Second, my online status has updated to "card has been mailed to me", so I'm looking forward to getting hold of that this week! 

Yep! They cancelled my interview and now they simply approved my AOS without one. There are a few people this has happened to so far, maybe there's some internal guidance that is letting them waive some interviews given the closure and cancellations. 

I am january filer as well. my interview got cancelled and just updated to new card produce last april 13th. Now my card is on its way maybe tomorrow i have it on hand😍

Oh wow. This could be a two-edge sword. Either more interview delays  or approvals without interviews   who knows.

I think it might just be we're at the point where the different work loads of different field offices is making the process look a little haphazard and out of "order". Even if you're still waiting, you haven't been skipped and you are not forgotten - an officer WILL get to your file.
 
I know it's hard to stay positive when it looks like you're being left behind, but your day will come and like Sarge says, it'll jump up and bite you on the butt when you least expect it

Green card just arrived! 🥳 It was originally projected to arrive tomorrow but ended up out for delivery today. We were planning a celebratory takeout meal tomorrow night anticipating it coming 😆 Think we will still do that anyway

@Letspaintcookies. Our AOS interview was waived  today and Ryan was approved with card in production. 
I’m not sure January filers have seen my post or not. 
Keep up your hope that it may be approved quicker than you think. 
I pray all of you experience the same.

Not me unfortunately 😁But seriously I hope they keep on approving all the cancelled Interviews so that all of us “ready to be scheduled” people get ours ASAP 

My second EAD is being produced today
ICYMI: The first one came with the wrong gender, so I sent it back and it was destroyed.

Off-topic: My wife filed our taxes jointly, since I got my SSN and all. We declared my foreign income in 2019. We’re hoping we get the full stimulus check for married couples, anyone in the same situation?

Thank you for that, I would LOVE for us to get some good news soon. We have felt very lucky with how smooth things have gone up until this point with the processes. We are struggling in a lot of areas at the moment and being given the green light to stay, drive, work and just properly start my life here would be a real blessing and weight off our shoulders.
 
Our journey started together back in 2013, with very sad personal circumstances delaying us getting together permanently, so it’s been a long road for us too. But I know the best is still yet to come. 🙂

But EADs are covered by the NBC and not your LFO. And I'm sure that they're also a bit slower these days but I won't allow such negativity here 😉😉  7-9 months... don't want to hear that again 😉😂
