Bigtuna reacted to Pinkrlion in Husband wont let me work, what can I do?
I would suggest finding a day job and then putting children in daycare. Otherwise, look for work at home jobs. He is stressed out due to working all day and then as a husband dealing with very young children alone. Men are not smart when dealing with children. We are Mama Bears. It is not easy during COVID times.
You can Google work at home jobs

Bigtuna got a reaction from NancyNguyen in I-944 Household Members Question
I can confirm. I live with my wife's parents temporately and we did not list them in the household because after reading the instructions it seems pretty clear that they are not part of it.

BREAKING NEWS guys!
Public Charge Rule has been vacated by a Federal Court in Illinois a few moments ago!
According to Federal Judge Gary Feinerman of the US District Court for the Northern District of Illinois, the rule violates the Administrative Procedure Act (APA) and requires to be set aside. The government has 30 days to decide whether they want to appeal or not.
The Department of Homeland Security argued that the rule should only be vacated in Illinois, but the court said that under the APA when an agency violates the statute’s terms the rule “shall” be set aside. Vacating a rule “is simply what courts do when they determine that an agency action violates the APA,” it said.
The court also seeks a permanent injunction enjoining DHS from ever implementing or enforcing the rule, it said.

That was one thing I was stumped on when I was actually working on the i944 months ago. I never got a clear answer for whether it was only US tax return or applicants foreign tax return. I’m hoping someone will chime in as I’m waiting for the i944 RFIE as well.

I used the general one and only for my college, since having a college degree automaticlly means that you have to have the high school.

Bigtuna reacted to HRQX in I-944 new rule
I just wanted to clarify something about I-864 affidavit of support because in another thread you mentioned that it's a commitment of "10 years." In fact, the obligation can also last longer or shorter than that: http://www.i-864.net/how-long-does-the-i-864-support-last For example, if the immigrant doesn't work and they divorce after a few years, the immigrant can't be credited 40 SSA credits and the I-864 obligation continues. Conversely, if both the petitioner and immigrant work (and don't divorce), the immigrant can be credited 40 SSA credits in about 5 years which would end I-864 obligation by operation of law.

Bigtuna got a reaction from JFH in Marry with housemate and then long distance, marriage bona fide?
Also, to add what others said: is your housemate aware of the economic responsabilities of sponsoring a spouse? When filling the Affavadit of Support the USC is commiting to support you for the next 10 years.

You still need to be honest and list it. Otherwise you are perjuring yourself. Not a smart risk to take.

The instructions state..
Your Household’s Assets and Resources
Item Number 9. Assets. List only the assets that can be converted into cash within 12 months. Provide the value of any asset held in the United States or outside the United States, in U.S. dollars.

I didn't follow that. I think it's an automated thing based on general processing times pre-covid so I'll wait longer and yes you're right, lots of patience, even if I'm not good at it lol

It’s called USPS informed delivery, google that and you should find a link to enroll in the program. You will receive daily emails with pictures of your mail whenever a post office scans mail that is en route to your address. It’s free.
