My interview just got scheduled for December 7  ( I applied on September 9th ) under the 3 year rule !
 
I hope most of us get have our interviews scheduled by the end of November ! 

My husband had his Naturalization interview last week. Ironically the day after Kevin McCarthy got tossed out of speakership, so we wondered how that question could be answered correctly if it came up. It was quite a long trip for us, as we were on vacation in another state and I wasn't sure if I would be allowed in with him so he went in by himself. He arrived 20 minutes before his appointment. It wasn't too busy. There was TSA style security first, and then waiting for his appointment was about 45 minutes. You are given a number which is supposed to show up on the screen. His number took about 20 minutes to appear on the screen, so if your number doesn't appear immediately don't worry.
 
His interview was about 10 minutes in length. The officer was very polite and no-nonsense. He asked for his NOA and asked for his US ID and his green card. My husband was very nervous and accidently handed him his UK driving license instead of his US one without realizing it. The officer was confused by this, but eventually that got cleared up, and had a laugh. He asked to confirm personal details and a few of the N400 questions. 
 
Keep in mind we had been initially nervous about tax questions, since we were unable to obtain every single tax transcript from the IRS (the IRS won't give them to you after a certain date), but were able to give them tax forms. But the officer did not want to see any of it. So I'd say as long as you have some sort of a combination of transcripts and forms this is not really an issue.
 
He asked the six questions:
1) What is the economic system in the United States?
2) In what month do we vote for President?
3) What is the name of the Vice President?
4) Who is the Commander in Chief of the military?
5) What is one responsibility that is only for US citizens?
6) Who was President during the Great Depression and WW II? (hilariously the question that would trip him up the most)
 
The reading was: When is Columbus Day?
The writing was: Columbus Day is in October.
 
He was informed that he had passed the test and that he needed to confirm the information that was going to be on his naturalization certificate. After showing him the Oath, my husband requested a modified oath, which was granted. He was then informed that he would be notified by mail that his oath ceremony would be scheduled. Later in the day the website updated to reflect his Oath ceremony would be scheduled, and the next morning his Oath appointment letter was uploaded. The ceremony is next week. All in all this has been a shockingly fast and easy process. Afterwards, since we were all dressed up we went on a nice date in the city before making the long trek back to our hotel. I hope this review helps others as to what to expect for Baltimore. It's a nice big facility that is not in the best area these days unfortunately. All in all the end of the journey has been the most simple experience. Thank you to all the guys and gals on VJ that has helped us through this whole process over many years.

What do you mean by «  both notifications » 
 
- I actually did not receive any notification 
- I checked my case status on the 10th and it said that my case was transferred on the 9th and I received the letter saying that it went to the National benefits center on the 13th 
- I did submit two inquiries ( one in December and one in February) but I don’t think they prompted anything since I received generic messages 2 months after each inquiry 
- there hasn’t been any movement on my case since the 10th  

Update : my case was transferred to the national benefits center and the letter says they’ll me know once they make a decisions or if they need more information ( still no biometrics applied btw) 
 
ps: travelling from the U.S to France ( with United Airlines) with my extension letter was a breeze. There was no confusion at any point.

Is Anyone else at the Potomac center still waiting ? Extension letter was received on September 13 after case was received on the September 8 and I’ve had no news since . 

It’s also been 40 days since mine was receive and no biometrics update . I just submitted the inquiry but it says the case is within processing time ( my case went to the Potomac center btw)

It's a PO Box. Mine was delivered on Saturday and it charged to available for pickup. On Tuesday it changed to delivered.

No idea, we had an expedite so that may have had something to do with it, but we got a call late yesterday, we had to rush across D.C. to get my medical in time for this afternoon. Luckily I had some results from consular processing. At this stage I’m not questioning it, just happy to finally have it sorted

Well I was not going to post this as it could be a HUGE error, but I decided to post anyway as it serves to give other VJers information and also something to perhaps look out for if you are in the same boat as us. I'm a September 2019 AOS filer my AOS interview was scheduled for April 17th and due to the virus situation it was cancelled as I expected. My status changed back to case ready for interview on April 1st. Enter today April 3rd I get a text from USCIS get this..... that a new card is being produced for the I-485 form (GC)!!!!!!!!
 
No interview no advance warning no nothing. I immediately logged on to my account at USCIS and low and behold  the status is New Card Is Being Produced!!!!! Can you believe that? USCIS has been known to error before, so I really can only hold my breath until the card arrives in the mail. I'm sure this will happened to other folks here on VJ if in fact this was not an error. So we all can be on the look out for other people getting their GC without going on a interview. I know no interview was a common thing several years ago, but USCIS changed that to where everyone interviewed. The only thing I can think of other than being an error is USCIS decided that all the cancellations of interviews was going to set them way behind so they decided to clean out a few cases and approve without an interview.
 
For your information we submitted the standard AOS packet (pre February 24th). In addition to the supporting documents for the I-485, I-864, I-765 and the I-131 we did not send any other documents or evidence (besides the marriage license). I have no explanation other than what I have laid out here. I'll for sure post here once the card reaches us! What a Friday!!!!!!!!! And it's early still!!!!!

Me. Feb 12th they received my response, march 2nd ready to schedule and march 3rd my interview was scheduled
