  1. I love to sleep under a pile of blankets and he sleeps with essentially the sheet and maybe a blanket. Bring on 21°C and my duvet! LOL
  2. DQ is the date your case was considered complete and you were put into the queue for an interview.
  3. If you don't have it, you will be issued a RFE and that could take even longer.
  4. Something was changed regarding the beneficiary's name. Maybe the first and last name were transposed? Maybe you sent a request? Regardless, something pertaining to their name was updated in the system.
  5. Please fill out your timeline: https://www.visajourney.com/timeline/profile.php?id=470412 Until you provide more information, no one can assist, unfortunately.
  6. ^^^This. I was in the US for over 5 years, never had an intention to return to Canada and ended up having to return to Canada. Having my Canadian credit record in check made things monumentally easier. You have the option of a backup plan. If things go wobbly in the US, you and your partner have the back up of going to the UK. Always keep your options open. It's a relatively minor inconvenience to file the FBAR and it's only if you have more than $10K USD in that foreign account.
  7. Why does the health of a relationship depend on whether or not you sleep in the same bed? I think it's silly. If you are content sleeping apart, go for it. If you prefer to be together, have at er. I'd go so far as to say that if your sleep is jeopardized, your relationship is far more likely to be challenged than if you contentedly earn a good night's sleep solo! My grandparents slept in separate rooms for exactly the reasons listed above - snoring competitions and unrestful sleep. My grandfather was a firefighter and worked shift work, too, so it was just easier for him to be tucked away in his own quiet quarters. At the end of the day, gotta do what's best for you and your relationship, end of story!
  8. Are you wanting to visit or move back permanently? That's the first and most important question.
  9. Kyle is so cringy. He's a man ####### who doesn't have enough game to actually have a girlfriend. "Donating through sex" is not "donating" from an innocent point of view like he's trying to swing it! Ani should give up and run away. Adriano's parents have it straight - love is love and some people don't feel like they need a formal religion, despite having grown up in that environment, to succeed. Alex is trying to change Adriano by wanting him to conform. She's never going to be happy with him and he's always going to want to wander and do what he does. Best to break it off now.
  10. A TB test issued by any source other than the civil surgeon for the purpose of immigration will not be considered. I wouldn't waste your time and money unless you think you have TB and require treatment to meet admissibility requirements.
  11. I think it was more in reference to the child not being mentioned on any previous USCIS filings. Can't mention what you don't know until you know it.
  12. Lots of dependencies though, as you stated. Not all consulates are created equally. Mileage may vary.
  13. Independent cases. Unlikely to trigger anything, especially because the kids' cases are essentially "case closed".
  14. "Faster" is a relative term when it comes to immigration.
  15. Sole legal custody (court ordered agreement) or just he's not in the picture? This matters.
  16. I'm tired of Big Ed AND Angela and "MAIIIKEL". Ed is a selfish jerk and Angela is a loudmouth who takes no responsibility for anything. Jasmine and Gino are both deficient in something. Man...she doesn't even remotely resemble the person she used to be. My husband (British) has issues in general with the lax nature of Americans in general. Athlesure is not cool in his mind. Despite having been here for over 20 years, he still puts on a polo style collared shirt at the bare minimum to go to the grocery store because a t shirt typically isn't acceptable in his mind. I can appreciate it - you reap what you sow and presenting yourself as a little more put together tends to draw better conclusions and ultimately treatment from others.
  17. If you entered the US on an immigrant visa and provided USCIS with one address and then move, you are responsible to inform them within 10 days of moving by filing AR-11. For the UK - different kettle of fish that's been addressed already.
  18. One other thing to add, if you do file the I-90, make sure you're available if biometrics are requested.
  19. A couple of weeks isn't uncommon. What's really annoying is if you're coming from the Prairies because you either have to travel to Dr. Cheema in BC or travel east. We ended up booking medicals and staying in Montreal until our interview because it was more cost effective than flying back and forth on short notice.
  20. My kid was texting me from school yesterday: Kid2: I got a 100 on my Science booklet. Got 90 on my Science final. Probably could have done better, but it's a good grade and I'm out of craps to give. Me: Good job! Why? Kid2: I just don't care at this point lol. I'm out of craps to give for this school year. I'll finish my finals and then I won't care anymore. That folks, is a kid who has to endure school until Thursday at 1:30pm before being out for summer. No more craps to give 😂
  21. Just for the sake of clarification, did you file an I-130 for each of your parents? Who's I-130 was approved? If you're a US citizen, it wouldn't be for you.
  22. I could buy that if you had to send the originals with the applications. Typically, you don't. You bring them to the interview for verification.
  23. I dunno...I suppose I'm looking for clarity here. A quick google search shows immigration lawyers are saying there is no longer an expiration date. This is the news release: https://www.uscis.gov/newsroom/alerts/uscis-announces-new-guidance-on-form-i-693-validity-period
  24. Is there a reason you have to petition her and not your sister?
