You were the only one who made a positive comment about my case and guess what there was no need of submitting a lot more evidence for the consular officer to be convinced as others suggested. My case was just approved yesterday. Thanks a lot.

SrilankanstoUS got a reaction from Hhfh in “Case Last Updated” on CEAC Website
Does anyone of you guys know what it means to be “case last updated” indicated on CEAC Website?  I’ve been having 2 updates after the interview on 10th Sep. Does this frequent updates mean that they’re working on my case and finalizing? Or anyone has any idea of it? Thanks in advance.

    Moderator here.

Please consider that there are numerous postings the pop up on this site. Some members come in and ask a question one time and are never heard from again. Some engage with the valued members here and some even become long time contributes. Sometimes a statement of condolence, even if it is just one sentence, can comfort a member. People who contribute to this site have lives also, and are taking time out of their lives to help complete strangers whom they never, and likely never will, meet in person. There is no rule that states that members have to respond with long heartfelt sympathetic replies. But we do ask that members are courteous and respectful. Also, there is a rule that no member can dictate how members post as long as the postings abide by the posting guidelines.

The members sentences were not "short cold". The best thing about this site is there are experienced members here who provide good advice and accurate information. And that information is sometimes to the point as to not waste time scrolling through content that is irrelevant to the OP's situation.

A "Good morning" can go a long way.
A "Thank you" can go a long way.
An "I'm sorry" go a long way.
All of them are short statements, but they are not cold.

Don't immigrants that move here and start working pay taxes for the programs that they are not allowed to us?
If they are tax payers then why are they not allowed to use a program they are paying into?

Seems like a bad system that allows one tax payer to receive a benefit another tax payer legally can't use.

This is called mutuality , I support you when you need help and you support me when I do. That’s how Humanity survived and  also animals or birds.
How do you think insurance companies pay their claims and still make money. Mutuality!  If a US citizen need to sponsor a loved one they should be able to do so. I have no doubt if you calculate how much money legal immigrants generate to the system minus how much they take public means the result is definitely positive.

well if we have learnt anything you can use fake bone spurs to not enter the Military draft but  you cannot use public benefits to treat bone spurs if you are an immigrant.  If only all immigrants were self sufficient from America was discovered no one would ever qualify to be here

That’s a temporary injunction. Cannot predict when they would lift it. According to the court rulings, it says the public charge has been ordered to block until the declared national health emergency is over. And it’s true what juancarlos says, you must get yourself and your spouse enrolled in an insurance plan to avoid costly medical bills in the future. America is expensive for immigrants.

As far as I know, the public charge rule has been blocked nationwide. You don’t need to demonstrate how you’re getting a health insurance plan during the interview. But the rule was blocked on 29th July temporarily. If the interview is being scheduled anytime soon, you don’t need to worry. Pls check the USCIS website for further info. State Department is yet to announce their response to the court’s decision.

SrilankanstoUS got a reaction from MrHanky in HELP with doubt about Translations
You cannot just translate these official documents by yourself. There are professionals called Sworn Translators. Use their help because USCIS wants to know the translator of the documents has the competent to translate stuff into English. At least get the official documents translated and certified by a sworn translator and get other docs such as screenshots, receipts, messages certified by a Notary Public after you translate 'em.
