6/14 - AOS application sent to Chicago lockbox via USPS

    6/16 - Application received

    6/22 - Check cashed!

No NOA text messages yet, but we are hopeful!

My husband received NOA text messages tonight! NOAs and check cashed within 6 days of USCIS receiving his application. Hopefully this means that things are moving along a little faster these days.

I'll start the thread off. My fiance (now husband - gotta get used to it lol) arrived on a K1 visa this past Saturday and just got married today! Planning on getting the AOS stuff together tomorrow so that the only thing that's left to include is the marriage certificate so we can send off the file early next week or even Friday! I know we're in for another long, long wait after an already unnecessarily long K1 process but here's to being optimistic and praying for the quickest process!

    Congratulations!

My fiance has his interview at the London embassy in June, we're praying by July or August that the ban will be lifted and another one isn't in its place.

Me too! How were you able to schedule your fiancé’s interview at the embassy in London? My fiancé’s interview was scheduled in March but was cancelled because of Covid. He tried to reschedule but gets a message stating that there are not appointments available at the London embassy. Any advice you might have would be greatly appreciated!

  4. It appears that the same policy was adopted by the US Embassy in London. My fiance was scheduled to interview on March 30 for his K-1 visa, but has not received a cancellation notice yet. Best of luck to everyone in the final stages. I hope this is just a short delay. Following is the notice posted on the US London Embassy website:

UPDATE: As of March 17, 2020, the United States Embassy in London is cancelling routine nonimmigrant visa appointments and reducing immigrant visa appointments, and no visa appointments will take place at the Consulate in Belfast. We will resume routine visa services as soon as possible but are unable to provide a specific date at this time.

If you have scheduled a visa interview appointment, the Visa Appointment Service will contact you if your appointment is being postponed. The MRV fee is valid and may be used for a visa application in the country where it was purchased within one year of the date of payment.

  5. Officially an October 2019 filer!  I-129F was mailed on October 9, 2019 and I received my NOA 1 via text on October 16, 2019.  Looking forward to following everyone's journey here!
