Hi, me (beneficiary) and my husband (petitioner) are in a similar situation, except the last time we saw each other was when I visited him in the US for 2 months early this year.

I'm wondering how did your petition went if you put 'Never lived together'? I'd really appreciate it :)

Hey! I put 'never lived together' and our petition was approved just fine :)

We were also DQ'd in May by the NVC, so all good on that end.

    Good luck!

    Hi

Anyone from India got their PCC recently?  I got mine today and wanted to confirm the purpose for which the PCC is issued. Mine says "Immigration Purposes other than Citizenship"(that is also what i selected when i filled the form). Can you confirm if that is right?

    @bharath and manu @Anmol Yash

That's correct! Did you receive the document already? How long did it take?

  3. Hi everyone, posting for a friend..

My friend and their spouse had their I-130 approved and were DQed in March awaiting their IL. The case is still at NVC.

They are now considering a divorce and I was just wondering what my friend needs to do next. The beneficiary spouse no longer wants to immigrate, so I'm hoping it's fairly straightforward..

Do they need to contact NVC and withdraw the I-864?
How do they proceed to "cancel" the application/process and make sure an interview isn't scheduled?

Do they need to contact the embassy (Canada) where the immigrant was set to interview?

I'm sorry if this has been asked here before. I've mostly just seen posts where the spouse is already here in the US. Appreciate all the help!!

Hi, Due to Covid19, it's really difficult to get police clearance certificate (PCC) in India; my NVC application just pending because I can't get the PCC, is it ok if I submit the civil documents without PCC and submit the PCC at the time of interview? Kindly help. Thanks!

We were in the same situation as you. My husband's PCC appointment kept getting rescheduled because the PSK was closed in his city. We submitted our civil documents, selected 'not available' for PCC, explained why in the comment section, and were DQ'd within 2 days of submission. Good luck!!

Hello all, I have 2 questions today. I have already filed a CR-1 I-130 for my spouse (wife) last month (April 2020).

    1. On the I-130A, under Information About Parent 1 & 2. For Parent 1, I completed all questions with my wife's mother info. As for Parent 2, I just put DECEASED and N/A on the rest of the questions since my wife's father had passed away a long time ago. The question is: Am I still supposed to provide my wife's father info even though he had passed or putting Deceased and N/A was the correct way?

    2. Will a death certificate be required at NVC stage for my wife's father who had passed?

    Thank you in advance!

We put deceased in both the city and country of residence and were approved. There's no requirement for the death certificate either!

yeah 1 week before they change the date on account and the date is February 10 don't know what does that mean 20200520_054323.thumb.jpg.ea751f580bcfd4ffaa44ed70a4399b7a.jpg

We think a change in date means that your file was 'touched' in some way. Could've been moved to a different department or something, but basically we had a date change on April 2nd and then were approved on April 6th. So your next date change will likely be just before your approval. Good luck!!

Wow, that was fast! I thought it was supposed to take a couple of weeks for the IIN and fees to show up on the account! Congratulations, so exciting!

I've seen that most (if not all) cases with an 'IOE' receipt number get transferred to NVC the very next day after approval! You pay the fees the next day and it's processed in 2-3 business days :) very exciting!

Yes. When I enter 1 for myself 1 for my dependent and 1 for my spouse, it doesn’t change when I try to enter 3 for my total household size. Did you have this problem? I wouldn’t want to get a RFE for a miscalculation like this.

I think I had a similar issue when I was using a browser (not sure if it was Edge or Chrome). When I downloaded and used Adobe Acrobat Reader to fill it (my household size is the same as yours), it summed it up automatically. I'd give that a try or try another browser to see if this issue persists!

Thank you for responding. But I have one child dependent and I am married to the beneficiary. When I try to change number 8 where it asks for you to add 1-7 it canning be changed from 1. That’s where I’m a bit confused.

So you've added '1' in 1 and 4 (2 is defaulted to 1), and it isn't adding up to 3 automatically? I don't think it's a box you can fill in yourself. It sums it up!
