I used the my son's US Citizenship (CRBA) in the Philippines to expedite my fiancé's K1 visa.
Her 1st interview had been cancelled because of a lockdown in Manila. When my son got his CRBA interview scheduled I email the Embassy and requested she get her interview at the same time, actually on the same day.
This was approved because having a US child was a reason they were granting interviews...at the time.
Not sure about things in Ecuador.
Good luck.

Was the same for my wife. 1 day and done. Much better than before.
Plus we had crammed everything into 1 week, medical and interview.

I am petitioning my wife to the United States. We are at the point where she is getting police clearances from the different countries she has lived in. We have run into an issue trying to get her police clearance/Certificate of No Criminal Conviction (CNCC). The Hong Kong Police Force asks for a request letter from the relevant government authority and a postal address of the relevant immigration authority to mail it. I called NVC and their representatives told me to send Hong Kong my wife’s Notice of Immigrant Visa Case Creation email letter. However, NVC doesn’t receive physical mail anymore. Has anyone else ran into this issue and where they have had Hong Kong send their CNCC to?
The immigration notice is all they should need. They forward the results from the background check directly to the Embassy that she will interview at.
Just be sure to get everything sent that they ask for. Especially the "approved" stamp from the police department that does the fingerprinting.

Sports? Wait until the Miss Universe pageant is showing!!!!
You are 100% correct. I now know how many pageants you have to win to get to the "big" one. My wife forced me to watch the entire thing, only to see Miss Philippines not get the crown.
She was mad for the rest of the afternoon.

Has she asked you to stop so she can go pick someone's plants because they are very tasty in a soup?
Speaking of pictures. My wife does not understand that you cannot just go in or around someone's house or property to take photos because they have a nice view. Also, what's with stopping in the middle of the road for a selfie?

I find it funny that my wife looks at where clothes are made, for any that may be "Made in the Philippines". She say's they are much better made than the ones here in the US. But she still cant believe we pay that much for clothes.
Also, going to the big box lawn and garden for plants and laughing that people in the US will actually pay for plants that grow on the side of the road at home.
Ah, and wait till she cooks anything with "shrimp paste" as an ingredient, it take hours for the smell to go away.

@Commish10Looks like the lockdown cancelled your interview... Again.
You guys can't get a break. Hopefully this will not last as long as the last one.
Hang in there.

Nice to see some good news. Most interviews that were scheduled have been cancelled due to lockdowns. Looks like you guys got in at right time.
Congrats!!

I was seeing this post reactivated after 7 years and thought WTH? But, I enjoyed the posts and wondering also, how many are still together.
We have been married since March of this year. We were lucking in getting her Visa expedited and getting out during one the lulls in the lockdowns.
Here's to everyone and good luck to all.

Plus, sitting around with nothing to do will do it also. My wife was always walking to the store and helping on the farm. Now, she stays in the "air con" and taking care of the house and little boy. Fortunately, she tries to watch what she eats but I have seen her eat a 16oz ribeye like a grown man.

Who in the world want to come to USA and have to go to work almost immediately ?
I have always suggested giving a girl from Philippines about one year to adjust to USA, let her learn the way things work here, learn our culture, etc. And then if she wants to work then let her work.
I would say the lion share of K1 petitioners in Philippines section is male and older than their fiance/spouses
I would agree with you @Joe Kano But, my wife has wanted to work from the day she got here. I have explained each time, that she does not have EAD yet. Not to mention she is still learning to drive.

I bought the wife a yamaha 125 and i bought a yamaha 155 for myself, i looked at xmax but said not right now, if i am still able to ride when i retire i am gonna go to cebu and buy me a harley from there
I was at the Harley dealership in Cebu. Man, they are proud of them (price wise). I found that trying to ride a large (Harley) anywhere in the city is very difficult. Way to big and cumbersome for the amount of traffic. In fact, I did not see many large displacement bikes at all.
I did not see but 1 Harley on the city streets the entire time I was in Cebu or Manila. I was told that most riders meet on the weekends and ride the country side.
Hey, If you ever get to the Southeastern Side of the US. Look me up, we will ride.

@Murph4865, Ah, but the journey is far from over. You will finally have your wife here.
But there will be many more things to do...
Like what to keep the AC on, my wife says to close it when it's 99 degrees in Alabama this week.
There are no Mo-Mo's in the woods behind the house.
I had to learn that rice IS a major food group and yes, rice for almost every meal is almost mandatory.
Teaching her to drive. And that just because you don't see a police officer, you cannot just run the stop sign.
Also, those signs on the sides of the roads do mean something... like sharp curve ahead and stop.
Trying to convince her that you cannot stop and take pictures in someone's yard because it has nice flowers growing in it.
Coming into the house after she has cooked anything with shrimp paste and trying to get that awful smell out of the house.
See... the fun has just started!!
(By the way, this was posted in fun. And is in no way done to make fun of anyone)
Congratulations on getting her here with you.

Are all USA notarized documents valid in the Philippines? thank you
I had ALL my paperwork that needed to ne notarized done by my bank. I called the Embassy first to verify because the papers said "notarized by consulate official". They said it was good.

Your sister will need to apply for a B2 visa herself. No need for an invitation letter from you. Instructions here -- https://www.ustraveldocs.com/ph/ph-niv-typeb1b2.asp
Note that the US embassy in Manila is currently not processing non-emergency first-time B visa applications. Your sister may apply anyway, but the earliest she can get an interview appointment would probably be mid-2022.
travel.state.gov is showing well over a year (425 days) for tourist interview.

ok! Got RFIE on i-485, they need 1040 and w2 and all schedules etc for the most recent tax year (2020). I have to include again a new i-864.
It is a yellow paper, it says they cannot verify income stuff with what I provided, even though I included last 6 months of paystubs etc and w2s for 2020 hehe. I had included years 2019, 2018 and 2017 as I had not filed when I submitted the case and the tax deadline was extended. I figured this could happen but I wanted to get in the queue as early as possible with an earlier Priority Date.
So I will be getting that ready this evening to send out the response hopefully tomorrow!I was expecting an RFE also for 2020 tax returns but biometrics were scheduled and were done on 7/7/2021. But ours were summitted 1 month earlier at the end on April.
-
We got biometrics' done on 7-7-2021 as scheduled. Although Jeigh did not have any issues others did not go so well. Missing or incorrect paperwork got some of them sent away.
On another note, the actual biometrics here in Birmingham are done by a third party company. Let's just say...they did not have any bedside manners.
From constant ordering of the people in line to STAY IN A SINGLE FILE LINE, take ONLY the papers I need to see from the file; to "SIR" I did not ask for your paperwork yet as he sat the papers on the desk. I was even scolded for having a tablet out to keep my 1 year old son occupied.
I guess some people like there jobs more than others....

I was hoping the someone in this group can tell me if they have had recent medical exam for their K1 interview at St Lukes Manila how long the lines were??
Do you think we still need to get in line at 2am to make sure can be seen that day or are the line more manageable since only limited daily interviews?
Go to the St Lukes website @ https://slec.ph. Follow the instructions for US Immigrant Visa Applications. No need to get there at 2am since all exams are by appointment.
-
The only problem is by the time you get to step "7" the instructions have changed.

ASC is the "USCIS Application Support Center" your biometrics appointment is in (and if you don't change your address, most likely your interview as well).
PD is the "Priority Date" you were assigned on your I-485 Notice of Action (NOA).
ASC - is Birmingham, Alabama. Good thing I live just a few miles South of town.
PD - No date on the I-797C
CRBA to expedite K1
in K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Procedures
Posted
I stated that my fiance had an existing K1 visa (listed MNl#) and stated that my son had an upcoming CRBA interview and could they expedite due to him being a US citizen and she wants to travel with him.
Again, this was the Philippines so I'm not sure of your situation. But, if you don't ask... the answer is always a NO.
