K1 letter action tends to deny
JeanneAdil replied to Rasha alk's topic in K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports
This is very important you try to prove u can't travel to meet begs the question are u able to work with steady employment to have the needed funds to sponsor K1? U need to understand the embassy has the power to issue or deny a visa / the CO has the final word. what USICS and NVC do is check the paperwork and verify documents check the total cost of the K1, check the income needed to sponsor K1 and CR1 BTW you applied in 2022 and the K1 was already taking 18 months to 2 years to get to interview from March 2020 and on What is the country of his birth ? that and the grey passport play an important role here Prepare yourself for this entire process of travel to meet, to reapply, to have income to support the AOS if doing K1 as it is more expensive than the CR1 I do wish u well and hope u can meet and overcome all issues -
My MIL came for visit and what we experience may help u Had to get her diabetes medicine thru a US dr so dr visit was costly and cost was over $500 a month for the 2 medicines she needed She was very homesick even though we got a cell for her and put her on my plan to talk online, it isn't the same as spending time with her grandkids and other family so she decided to leave in less than 3 months she was ill and we thought it was her sugar going up and down, but when she returned to Moroc, she had emergecy surery is less than 2 weeks for appenditis / cost us $1000 in her home country and would have costs over $10000 here (best estimate i could get when i asked my GP -after the fact. Any plan u lookup is for 1 person and u need 2 and unless u get medicaid itself, u will need not only health care insurance but Prescription, eye and dental (the 3 things older people need for medicine, dental care and eyes Have u thought to have them come on tourist visa and see how they deal with the US?

ignore the egypt part i had read one site then yours please do a profile and ID the country look to the tax treaty site to see if your country is listed

USC must file taxes when working out of the country there is an exemption for the following amounts per year as Egypt has a tax treaty with the US However, you may qualify to exclude your foreign earnings from income up to an amount that is adjusted annually for inflation ($107,600 for 2020, $108,700 for 2021, $112,000 for 2022, and $120,000 for 2023). If u did not work, u should send for the IRS letter by getting letter from IRS Use Form 4506-T to request tax return transcripts, tax account information, W-2 information, 1099 information, verification of non-filing, and record of account. Both U and joint sponsor have to provide proof of US residency using USCIS guides for documents needed

Interview Language
JeanneAdil replied to sarahnMo's topic in IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Process & Procedures
CO likes the Moroccan to know decent English but it should not hurt as he is studying it with u it could help to show he takes English classes even if online he can do the interview in Arabic, English or French -
If the cell is paid for completely, send her a US SIMS card and a prepaid card so she can add those minutes at the last moment to activate it then she can call as soon as CBP are finished with the process /she will not be allowed to use cell until CBP is satisfied International flight without having to take the tram for a connecting domestic flight. u can wait by luggage carousel for her /u've done it / u know how this works If u do get to fly back with her, the officer who directs people to USC lines told me i could bring Adil thru that line with me, but we did Chicago and every one of these people may say something different
-
requirements are u r already in US ahead of her OR enter with her 1st time to travel, we r all nervous and that's understandable any layovers? make sure luggage is transfered to final destination and layovers are just that and she doesn't have to pick up a ticket at a stop as that could require visa for. (like ticket to a country and then ticket from there to POE in US or Canada) mention her country/embassy and your state for best answers from those going thru the same travel process

K1 Fiance Visa My Wife disappeared and is unresponsive. Found out from sister that she is having an affair with her co worker and intended just to stay with me until she she saved some money and then move out in an apartment with him. Also charged $10K me
JeanneAdil replied to Nazim and Debbie's topic in Effects of Major Family Changes on Immigration Benefits
You said she charged 10,000 to credit card you can sue her for that amount in California in small claims court especially if it was for uneeded medical proceedures like cosmetic surgery and she used the card without discussing it with u depending on circumstances , u may be ordered to pay it all, pay half and she pays other half or she has to assume all the debt https://selfhelp.courts.ca.gov/small-claims -

NVC needs the translations for supporting the DS 260 which is where she is at according to state department Please note that all documents not written in English, or in the official language of the country from which you are applying, must be accompanied by certified translations. The translation must include a statement signed by the translator stating that: The translation is accurate, and The translator is competent to translate. https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/us-visas/immigrate/the-immigrant-visa-process/step-5-collect-financial-evidence-and-other-supporting-documents/step-7-collect-civil-documents.html -
marking as student as said above, u can include the IRS letter for non filing taxes https://www.irs.gov/individuals/transcript-types-and-ways-to-order-them Verification of Non-filing Letter - states that the IRS has no record of a processed Form 1040-series tax return as of the date of the request. It doesn't indicate whether you are required to file a return for that year. This letter is available after June 15 for the current tax year or anytime for the prior three tax years using Get Transcript Online or Form 4506-T. Use Form 4506-T if you need a letter for older tax years.

Old passport US travel. (London Interview)
JeanneAdil replied to Adze's topic in K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Procedures
wouldn't the embassy in London be able to access the records on computer? -
are u a Moroccan legal resident? if not, u can't interview there u can't shop embassies for visa interview To be legal resident in Moroc , you need criminal report from Pakistan, UAE and any other country u have legal residency medical exam and Moroccan bank account and to open one the following is required Passport: A valid, up-to-date passport is mandatory. Proof of address: This can be a rental agreement or a recent utility bill. Residency card or work permit: If you’re living or working in Morocco, you’ll need to show proof of your legal status. Letter from your employer: If you’re employed in Morocco, a letter from your employer confirming your position and salary is required. Initial deposit: Some banks may require a minimum initial deposit to open the account. Getting legal residency in Moroc is not that easy https://ma.usembassy.gov/u-s-citizen-services/local-resources-of-u-s-citizens/residency-requirements-for-foreigners-in-morocco/#:~:text=There are eight categories of,a) closest to your residence.

Police Certificates for turkey
JeanneAdil replied to anthonyq's topic in IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Process & Procedures
it would be best for the spouse in Turkey to get the required documents from Turkey as they also need to have an English translation and he can send u copies as they are accepted by NVC . He will need originals for his interview so leave them with him. -
For K1 CO will look at how well you know the intending immigrant How long have u know the intending immigrant? Are u sending money to fiancee / not a great idea? and if there are any red flags like language difference, big age difference, religious difference? Does her family approve of the marriage and US marriage without them present? Is she of child bearing age? All those are also looked at for spouse visa but the marriage makes the petition stronger /can't explain why but it is stronger evidence itself of union and real relationship the K1 initial process to interview is about the same as spouse but timeframe to AOS after US marriage is incredibly longer and more expensive

K1 Fiance Visa My Wife disappeared and is unresponsive. Found out from sister that she is having an affair with her co worker and intended just to stay with me until she she saved some money and then move out in an apartment with him. Also charged $10K me
JeanneAdil replied to Nazim and Debbie's topic in Effects of Major Family Changes on Immigration Benefits
she had a job so assume she had green card and u paid $1225 to AOS and filed out the I 864 meaning u r responsible for her if she applies for government benefits and u should know where she works so she hasn't totally disappeared as a lawyer can serve divorce papers to her job / u need to stay away Credit card / i would take out a small loan to pay it off and then totally cancel it / u may not charge anymore on it but if she has a card with her name she still can / after paying off the balance , sue her in small claims court for the credit card debt. California laws Generally, you can only sue for up to $10,000 in small claims court When you close a credit card and you still owe a balance, the debt you owe doesn't go away. The card agreement still applies, and you are still legally responsible for repayment. The following will also go on as normal: You'll continue receiving credit card statements in the mail.Oct 24, 2023 Divorce , move on, encourage her to work 10 years to gain 40 credit hours of work or to naturalize , getting u off the hook for the I 864 GF??? not right away / get over this first -
u r from Iraq and going to interview in Turkey? follow members from your country to see the VJ timelines for interviews

Read the UAE posts here by hitting the word portal above it appears UAE will schedule its own residents first but that is only what i think and my opinion from reading as your country of nationality is Pakistan, expect to have extended AP for the additional security checks done by UAE members such as "loves to teach" post on here about the process and pitfalls / her husband interviewed in UAE and was from Pakistan the Pakistan site itself could explain more about what the interview would bring in terms of AP
-
Did u put in the case # for the K1 that u closed instead of the CR1? or NVC is now using closed (closed to NVC as work is done by them and now waits for interview) Trying to figure out what immigration is doing (at any stage) and sometimes the posts which are totally confusing, will drive u nuts I mean AP is Advanced parole and it is also administration processing and refused isn't refused , it means case is on hold till a decision is made
-
the husband's brother can not apply for her when a USC , he can apply for his brother the following site explains the requirements for a foreigner to teach in US it does leave out the part the explains now most schools /board of education require a complete criminal background check https://www.diversityjobs.com/career-advice/career-advice/teacher-certification-for-foreign-educated-teachers/ International teachers having a permanent job offer usually apply for an EB-2 or EB-3 visa. A teacher coming to teach at a school that requires at least a Master's degree applies for an EB-2 visa; a teacher coming to teach at a school that requires a Bachelor's degree applies for an EB-3 visa EB2 and EB3 visas require an employer to sponsor

Long queue and the years 2019, 2020 and 2021 are still ahead of 2023 everyone is waiting Petition will be auto extended but email the embassy stating Case #, both names and both DOB and state u r unable to schedule as yours is 2023 and u want case to remain open probably need new police report at that time

your timeline shows K1 for fiancee and post is for CR1 spouse Did the case sit in NVC for over a year for the steps to be completed?
