Taking interview in an anti LGBTQ country
JeanneAdil replied to mogox15161's topic in K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Procedures
US embassy should follow US laws and same sex marriages are legal BUT remember CO's also consider cultural norms Examples for ours was that a Moroccan man would not marry an older Moroccan woman or a widow and i was older and a widow Hope u get an American interviewer More than likely u will be asked what your family thinks of the relationship / this question is very normal for our countries even if a straight couple as its important for the family to approve Best to Know your fiancee really good to answer all questions honestly To not volunteer any info the CO does not ask for Be confident in yourself Bring photos to show your family has met him The best life to the 2 of u -

JeanneAdil replied to Tablehair's topic in Tourist Visas
while u were in interview, i am sure CO was tryping and it was easy for that person to look up info on Harvard site and see that Harvard Kennedy School was offiering a lunch hosted by Anne Boustead on cyber encryption on the 8th of November as follows Lunch Seminar featuring Anne Boustead, Assistant Professor at the School of Government and Public Policy at the University of Arizona. In a talk entitled, "Measuring Encryption," Boustead will explore some of the legal and policy issues that could be informed by additional data on encounters with encrypted devices in the criminal justice system. But Harvard U only has a course from the 7th to the 18th full days U were not able to explain your intent to attend with sufficient proof as this lecture is 1st come 1st served -
Stipends may be considered income in terms of withholding taxes—the distinction between them boils down to how they're classified. Like other forms of compensation, they're subject to Social Security and Medicare taxes unless they meet specific exceptions outlined in IRS Publication 15-B.Aug 3, 2023

https://www.uscis.gov/newsroom/alerts/uscis-increases-employment-authorization-document-validity-period-for-certain-categories Release Date 09/27/2023 We are updating guidance in the Policy Manual to increase the maximum validity period to 5 years for initial and renewal Employment Authorization Documents (EADs) for certain noncitizens who are employment authorized incident to status or circumstance, including those admitted as refugees, paroled as refugees, and granted asylum, as well as recipients of withholding of removal. What is does not say is that the wait time for ROC will be faster So, it helps the illegals but those who pay and go thru this legally can naturalize and don't need 5 year EAD

Spouse interview -photos
JeanneAdil replied to Bobtaylor19931's topic in IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Process & Procedures
take some If u do, they will not be looked at but noted that in Lagos that u bought them if u don't take them, the CO will ask for them as additional evidence This type of evidence has little value unlike the post above mentions but asking for it can cause a delay in decision to encourage someone to give up -

I would think not only for safety reasons but both men and women have to serve in the military Military service is compulsory for the majority of Israelis when they turn 18. Men have to serve 32 months and women 24. After this, most of them can be called up to reserve units until the age of 40, or even older, in case of national emergency. In times of war, they fight alongside the regular troops.22 hours ago

Losing US citizenship for living abroad
JeanneAdil replied to randomstairs's topic in General Immigration-Related Discussion
Prior to 1994, the analysis presented in this article might have been different. Back then, a person who became a naturalized U.S. citizen was expected to hold the intention of residing permanently in the United States. This was written into Section 340 of the Immigration and Nationality Act or I.N.A., but the language was removed in 1994, within Section 104 of the Technical Corrections Act. SEC. 104. INTENT TO RESIDE PE31MANENTLY IN THE UNITED STATES AFTER NATURALIZATION. (a) IN GENERAL.—Section 338 of the Immigration and Nationality Act (8 U.S.C. 1449) is amended by striking "intends to reside permanently in the United States, except in cases falling within the provisions of section 324(a) of this title,". (b) CONFORMING REPEAL.—Section 340(d) of such Act (8 U.S.C. 1451(d)) is repealed. (c) CONFORMING REDESIGNATION.—Section 340 of such Act (8 U.S.C. 1451) is amended— (1) by redesignating subsections (e), (f), (g), (h), £uid (i) as subsections (d), (e), (f), (g), and (h), respectively; and (2) in subsection (d) (as redesignated), by striking "subsections (c) or (d)" and inserting "subsection (c)". (d) CONFORMING AMENDMENT.—Section 405 of the Immigration 8 use 1440 note. Act of 1990 is amended by striking subsection (b). 8 use 1449 note. (e) EFFECTIVE DATE.—The amendment made by subsection (a) shall apply to persons admitted to citizenship on or after the date of enactment of this Act From page 4 Section 104 https://www.govinfo.gov/content/pkg/STATUTE-108/pdf/STATUTE-108-Pg4305.pdf#0-0-0-763 -

they do ask who's paying and where is money coming from in many of the high fraud embassies as a CO would ask this poster who i believe from other posts is from Pakistan From USCIS site https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/us-visas/tourism-visit/visitor.html Additional Documentation May Be Required Review the instructions for how to apply for a visa on the website of the U.S. Embassy or Consulate where you will apply. Additional documents may be requested to establish if you are qualified. For example, additional requested documents may include evidence of: The purpose of your trip, Your intent to depart the United States after your trip, and/or Your ability to pay all costs of the trip.
