  1. I agree Start the process for staying in the US like it -stay don't like it -u can return to home where other family and friends are Or -with green card in hand , visit the Philippines often but don't stay outside US too long
  2. Casa does not usually worry about the one police report that says expires in 90 days but if u feel u need a new one, do not get it done until u know your interview date so u need to go online and schedule the interview
  3. thank u for doing the timeline K1 case has the Moroccan completed the ds 160? when that is completed , instructions to do the medical exam, to get the 2 police reports and how to schedule the case will be sent 2 police reports ( "fiche anthropomtrique" at the local police office. and des casiers judiciaires) meanwhile the USC needs to complete the I 134 and get IRS transcripts for 2021 and send to Morocco for Moroccan to take to interview
  4. If box on N 400 was not marked , the officer should have given u a form to fill out during the interview when u said u wanted to change name Can I change my name during naturalization interview? At your interview, you can ask U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) to let you complete a Petition for Name Change. If you are approved for citizenship, and if naturalization swearing-in ceremonies are conducted by a court in your area, then you will be able to change your name legally at the ceremony.
  5. its on form N400 itself https://www.uscis.gov/sites/default/files/document/forms/n-400instr.pdf Item Number 4. Name Change (Optional). A court can allow you to change your name when you are naturalized. Any name change you request on this application will not be final until you are naturalized by the court. If you want the court to change your name at your naturalization oath ceremony, select “Yes” and complete this section. You do not need to request a name change if your name has changed through marriage, divorce, or other court order. NOTE: USCIS cannot process name change requests for members of the military, or their spouses, who are naturalizing overseas.
  6. if all they need is a passport , send copy of one from home country make a copy of your naturalization document and send a letter to say US passport applied for
  7. it wasn't trivalized Dear Abby has given out usefull information for years (now her daughter does the answers) she can advise on any personal and emotional issues that happen between people i was being completely serious in saying ask someone who could really give u useful advice as others said "its not an immigration question" its for a counselor and someone with experience in handling these types of issues Best to u both
  8. Even if u had the old passport and K1 visa page, it is only good for 1 time to enter no longer valid
  9. This is a "Dear Abby" type question and u can write to her % Chicago Sun-times My 2 cents- the parents can stay in a hotel and the USC can visit them or take them out to dinner with or without u if u went to dinner with your spouse , a true Christain would not make an issue (a scene) in public
  10. What is my legal status while I-485 is pending? If you have filed Form I-485, Application to Adjust Status, you generally are not confined by the restrictions on your non-immigrant visa. You have the right to remain in the United States while the application is pending. when you get the green card U.S. permanent residents have the right to be protected by all laws of the United States, the state of residence and local jurisdictions, and can travel freely throughout the U.S. A permanent resident can own property in the U.S., attend public school, apply for a driver's license, and if eligible, receive Social .
  11. As Roc2USA said Usually I would suggest you call NVC. But, you cannot call them now... you will have to send them a message and ask them to re-open the DS260. as you will only get a computer generated voice message no one seems to answer anymore and always it is best to have " proof in writing" keep a copy for your records if sending a letter by mail, send it certified with signature required
  12. or 32 Rochester Ave, Portsmouth, NH 03801 Include the case # both your names and both your DOB's in any email or letter u send
  13. Citizenship? Would you be able to live legally in Canada? why do the green card for the US if you don't want to live here? it is for family unification to live in the US and have you looked into the tax issues ? we have a tax treaty with Canada but filing for both countries means a lot of work and the USC still has to pay into USA SS and medicare
  14. sorry, but loosing a husband does not give anyone the right to verbally abuse another she should be grateful your husband and her are helping her basically , if your husband is not man enough to "very simply explain this to her" and it is a simple statement of fact, then explain to him, the verbal abuse needs to stop If it gets stronger or physical , u have the right to call 911 the police can then explain it
  15. Please complete a timeline on your profile

  18. Basically for a visa interview, u don't get to go into detail to explain all that should have been covered in the petition for the B1/B2 visa the CO will ask things and u get to answer the Co mainly goes by the info u submitted already did u have a letter showing u signed up for this conference? did u send the receipt for the conference payment to save your place? Did u sign up for any of the panel discussions ? have u made hotel resevations and submitted that proof? i had to do all of the above 4 to attend a conference here in the US (even as a USC and living here) i had to do those to get time off work
