  1. i thought u can not file a divorce waiver unless u have divorce degree in hand
  2. If she had an accident and now will get SSI because of it CO does not have to consider SSI as income for petition she'll need to redo the I 864 with proof of assets (the savings)
  3. Your ds 260? 3 months is a tourist visa timeframe- not residency wife? yes, u would put her work history if it asks for that u are not telling us who is the petitioner , the USC?
  4. Have u thought about Citbank as they have branches in both the US and Canada? u have to be physically present in the US to open an account unless u have ITIN # (or SS #) and person with bank account in USA can add u with your POA to do so
  5. I should have added what happened to a Moroccan (not a VJ member) his wife applied for the CR1 visa he interviewed and they kept his passport for 10 months he thought he would be approved but what the embassy did with the passport was check the travel history the man had worked in UAE for over a year he had not disclosed this on the Ds 260 so, good reason to deny without the CO judging the relationship its just a way the CO can do additional security checks
  6. i was not casting judgement on the OP there seem to be a lot of young men in African countries looking thru sites for older women to marry and get them to the US As i have been told by friends in both Algeria, Ghana and Morocco We, older women, are "suppose to have more money",, own a home , be lonely, be able to travel, have an education and all the things younger girls don't have so basically , without insulting anyone but myself, we are targets for a green card i just lucked out with a good husband whose still with me after 12 years and his citizenship but to other USC, if a person gets a green card, they are free to come and divorce and split Your heart and head (and your pocketbook) need to understand all the issues with supporting a petition to bring someone to the US
  7. Sorry- not an answer to your question but Make an appointment ASAP at SS office and get her SS # u have limited time i think when the SS card comes and u present the marriage certificate at SS office , u can change the name i can be wrong on that one but if u don't have the SS # fast, u have to wait for AOS process to change her last name and no issues if not changed in Ukraine
  8. Was this scammer suppose to be a Nigerian lawyer? just to let u all know a Nigerian lawyer, even if legit, can't help a US visa case I ask as u say " People scam people everyday to them that's not a major crime" it is a crime here and a police report should be done -no matter which country this person is in For Nigeria the country is trying to cut down on scammers: How do I file a complaint against a scammer in Nigeria? scam @ efccnigeria.org & info @ efccnigeria.org or the Nigerian Police Force with website at www.nigeriapolice.org and email webmaster @ nigeriapolice.org are the appropriate authorities mandated by the Federal Government of Nigeria, to deal with such issues. You may forward your e-mail to them for prompt action.
  9. no judgement you were scammed and sorry this has happened to u 1. Get your money back from the bank/ usually u only have a month to dispute transactions 2. Close that account and open a new one, /as the scammer may have your banking info 3. Write to the address of the office where your case is located (or NVC) and cite the case # , both names and both your dates of birth tell the office what has happened the person can't delete your info with but could say u wanted to cancel it i doubt this person wants his email ID or any info about him to be seen so u may be worrying for nothing
  10. you would not send to the embassy you would take the documents like I 134 and criminal report, etc to the interview
  11. USCIS puts out quarterly reports /not weekly or monthly and no report on # of RFE's as to RFE's there's no way to know and i suspect it would vary a lot especially when the DV lottery winners and those people need to prove education and work experience and it varies from countries -like India and Pakistan, NVC wants long forms of birth certificates, from Morocco, they now ask for early chats to show the couple really has know each other as long as stated, high fraud countries get more than low fraud countries RFE's can be given out at any stage, USCIS, NVC or by embassy the following is number of service -wide reports for quarter 4 of 2021 for all visa types which includes approved, denied and pending https://www.uscis.gov/sites/default/files/document/data/Quarterly_All_Forms_FY2021Q4.pdf
  12. 221(g) Blue Form: A blue form implies that the US Visa Consulate needs an additional supporting document(s) to take a decision on a visa application.
  13. if no records of vaccines is available , the dr will do blood work to see what vaccines have been given and if he needs any, they will be administered
  14. yep,, statis can go back and forth even to say "interview scheduled " or "ready to schedule" the data entry people for immigration aren't the best
  15. Consulars are trained to look at cultural aspects of a case and it is not the norm for a young man to marry an older woman or one who is divorced in both of our cultures (Algeria and Morocco) they are totally in the right to deny any petition even a spouse visa petition if it is suspect the receipt for the petition says " it is not a guarantee that the intending immigrant will get a visa"
  16. hate to say this but i am surprised the CO kept your passport and did not outright deny the K1 and truthfully just trying to be honest here I know getting married in Algeria takes a lot of work and time, so consider meeting in Tunis if the K1 is denied and marrying there
  17. The officer is asking for additional evidence when u get the N 41, provide what is asked for and they often do not make a desicion same day they didn't in our case (Friday) but we got notice online it was approved Monday and pushing for explanation??? not a great idea / the officer gave u the answer
  18. We had a big age difference and K1 was denied even though i spent a month with him and all the family so, married and did CR1 and our whole wait from K1 to visa was 6 years its heartbreaking but now married 12 and 1/2 years and time is going fast keep busy and don't look for info from immigration every day/ it will drive u nuts
  19. they work on documents for u and all others in the embassy that have interviewed this takes time u can pray and hope for the best understand 25+ years is a red flag other red flags are difference in education woman is over the age to bear children (in this culture) difference in social class or culture (which of course we all have) secret relationship from family proclaimation of love in first days of talking
  20. nope, they can not change the outcome or the decision of the CO AS a matter of fact all a lawyer does is collect money to fill out an application , collect evidence u provide and copy it to mail that's a big fee to mail something out
  21. can take the embassy weeks, months or as long as a year to complete the extra security checks for the ds 5535 check out the ds 5535 post on here by writing ds 5535 in the search box helpful to know what embassy this is (for best answers)
  22. Good that he kept your passport but with a 25+ year age gap, i would suspect a denial of the K1 1. approved or denied -not yet decided by the CO 2. evidence at interview- the CO has read the packet before the interview and bases question upon the documents she sent in with the petition 3. updates? u may be waiting 6 or more months to find out if denied or approved watch CEAC for best info https://ceac.state.gov/ceacstattracker/status.aspx 4. where is passport ? At the embassy unless they send it back to u To overcome a big age gap, most of us have had to marry and file the CR1 spousal visa (as i did) allah yessir
