  1. probably is no set age but more a judgement call by the CO at the interview and maybe depend on things like life insurance policies and who if the petitioner is a beneficary of one and assets of the people involved plus is the country high fraud and the CO needs to be suspect of all petitions AND is the petitioner a new college grad who has a good earning potential but low current income and it is a K1 where intending immigrant could not work for a year or more to help and USC needs to pay for health care insurance Co s are trained to look at ALL things related to a case / totality of circumstances If i was a CO i would ask everything as i can't imagine 2 people trying to live in the US one $18000+/-
  2. it is obvious she wants to come to the US so, she and he need to discuss this openly Basically the bene(intending immigrant) does use the USC (us citizen) for a visa as that's just the way its done and they would not get the green card otherwise but there is a difference between applying for a loved one or the loved one applying for you or being "used" to get a green card so, she needs to get to know him with quality time spent together and the 2 of them need to make sure this is a positive relationship for them both BTW if he does the K1 , he may feel used later down the road with the expense of the AOS of $1225 after a US marriage and having to completely support her for the year or longer while she has to wait to get EAD card to work That''s why CR1 spouse visa is better ( the immigrant is able to work upon entry to the US)
  3. the process is not easy on anyone -not even when all goes smoothly thru and yes, it has happened to others when they failed to bring original documents to interview and also, in Canada but usually when the intending immigrant was born in another country please fill out a timeline and its not just covid issues things changed for us all after 9/11 and the other scares look at all we go thru now in airport security
  4. 7, 9 ,11, 12 ,13 and 14 are not needed I would only send the apartment lease of your residence as listed to immigration
  5. you can the bf can she does not actually apply for the visa till she has to do ds 160 or ds 260 much later depending on the country she is in a K1 can be hard to be approved and CR1 is better a sibling visa is a long wait
  6. you can do this online just make sure u have copies of anything u send with immigration, its all about proving everything to them and then , proving u sent it as they tend to misplace and /or loose documents if sending by mail, do it with return receipt
  7. yep,, making this announcement on USCIS site a joke https://www.uscis.gov/newsroom/news-releases/uscis-expands-partnership-with-social-security-administration “This expansion of our partnership with the Social Security Administration illustrates our commitment to operating our nation’s immigration system more efficiently to save applicants time,” said USCIS Director Ur M. Jaddou. “Eliminating unnecessary bureaucracy and optimizing collaboration across public-serving agencies is a key priority for this agency and the Biden-Harris administration.” After approving Form I-485,in most cases USCIS will electronically transmit the data to the Social Security Administration. Upon receiving the data, the Social Security Administration will automatically assign an original SSN or issue a replacement card, as appropriate. This partnership with the Social Security Administration will not increase the filing fee for Form I-485.
  8. https://www.uscis.gov/humanitarian/information-for-afghan-nationals On March 16, 2022, Secretary of Homeland Security Alejandro N. Mayorkas announced a new designation of Afghanistan for Temporary Protected Status (TPS) for 18 months. For additional information, please see the news release. For more information about TPS, please visit our Temporary Protected Status webpage. The process is backlogged like every other immigration process it says on ABC news that most are relocated to Most have now settled in communities around the U.S., with the largest numbers moving to Northern Virginia and the surrounding Washington, D.C., area; Northern California; and Texas. which are not one of our island territorites so no non citizen national status. they remain with TPS status For many, however, time is running out because they have not yet received permanent residency through backlogged programs such as the special immigrant visa, which is issued to people who worked as interpreters or in some other capacity for the U.S. and its allies during the 20-year war.
  9. you can make an appointment at SS office and do an inquiry they can give u the number in person when u show proper ID if the worker says he/she can't, ask for a supervisor
  10. to submit the primary petition , follow the steps outlined above under "guides" for immigration guides and family for parents of USC u do not file the I 864 (petitioner ) and I 864a (joint sponsor) till the case goes to NVC in about a year She should create a profile here and do a timeline and ID the country/embassy
  11. you'll have to collect the passport and see as it doesn't tell u
  12. Difference : NVC case completed means they have accepted and approved the supporting evidence for your case Left NVC means (for spouse visa) the case has been scheduled for interview by embassy and NVC and the packet is on the way basically there is nothing u can do to hurry the process up
  13. On the basis that a 90 year old (more than 90 at time of interview) would probably not live to be 100 or over He could not be responsible for 10 year contract under the I 864 Plus if the person has to be in nursing home (which is very likely) the facility (under medicare rules ) gets his SS income and more than likely any retirement income he gets
  14. his job and income are only important for his him to have money to live on while he waits quitting a job while waiting (as it could be a year after dq'd to get interview) is not a great idea How will he support himself? Immigration notices advise "do not sell property" "do not quit a job" "do not buy a plane ticket" all till u have the visa in hand you are just at NVC stage/ this is still a long wait till interview is scheduled
  15. Three days means the Philippine needs a tourist visa / transit is just a layover to change planes Visas are required for Philippines citizens wishing to visit the UAE. Earlier this year the UAE's Interior Ministry launched an online visa application system. This system allows people from around the world to apply for visas online from any location. iVisa.com allows you to process your travel documents.May 26, 2022
  16. usually the request is for actual proof of the marriage for the ROC an affiavit is of little use In order to obtain a green card through marriage, a couple must be able to prove that they have a bona fide relationship. A bona fide marriage simply refers to a legitimate marriage between two people, rather than a sham marriage that is entered into solely for immigration purposes. In order to obtain a green card through marriage, a couple must be able to prove that they have a bona fide relationship. A bona fide marriage simply refers to a legitimate marriage between two people, rather than a sham marriage that is entered into solely for immigration purposes. Marriage certificate like sharing financial accounts banking insurance (auto or health) titles to car(s) both names on apartment lease or deed to property sorry not the I 134 but I 864 ( i saw K1 and didn't see it was for ROC) plane tickets????

  19. Geogia department of Motor vehichles https://dds.georgia.gov/information-non-us-citizens If a non-US citizen establishes residency in Georgia, he or she must obtain a Georgia driver’s license within thirty (30) days. A non-US citizen would be considered a resident of Georgia if he or she meets any of the following criteria: If a person accepts employment or engages in trade in Georgia, and enrolls his or her children in a private or public school within ten days after the commencement of employment; or If a person has been present in the state for 30 or more days Take his passport with entry stamp / he will be applying first for the learner's permit by taking the written test and then the driving test for the licence
  20. i would say call the office and ask (800) 375-5283
  21. Telling us they do not know about the marriage is enlightning does this mean the family will not invite u for family affairs like Thanksgiving and Christmas dinners? are u suppose to remain out of the way during weddings and funerals ? they need to know you need a long hard discussion with your partner and he needs to have a long hard discussion with his parents Basically , it is your partner that has left u out of his family , not his parents they may not like the marriage but they eventually will find out and they aren't going to like being kept in the dark/ uneed to make your partner understand that
  22. means the interview was waived and they have approved the ROC
