I agree No one knew that we’d be in a pandemic and sometimes marriage cost another trip and you have to stay in the country for a certain amount of time which many of us do not have the time off of work and other responsibilitiesNo one knew that we’d be in a pandemic and sometimes marriage cost another trip and you have to stay in the country for a certain amount of time which many of us do not have the time off of work and other responsibilities

Bikeordeath reacted to payxibka in NVC not sending cases to Manila
Also, NVC never has sent k1 visa applications to the consulates. They send approved petitions.

Bikeordeath reacted to geowrian in I134
Manila (based on your profile flag) does not tend to accept assets for consideration with a K-1 visa.
They don't even always ask for an I-134...but always be prepared with one.
Current income is king. If unemployed, current income that they will actually consider would presumably be $0. Having an I-134 from a co-sponsor ready would be wise IMO (Manila does accept a co sponsor on a case by case basis).
-
Bikeordeath reacted to Greenbaum in I134
They will be concerned with your income at the time of the interview. Hopefully, you'll have found something by then. If not, you'll need a co-sponsor. Of course, we are not aware of the plans and what and what will have changed so I wouldn't put much into this for now, just take care of yourself and continue to seek employment. Good luck and stay engaged.

Bikeordeath reacted to Nitas_man in I134
Unemployment does count as income.
The I864 requirement is a minimum level of liquid assets equivalent to 3X the difference between current and required income for your household size.
With that said, I filed an I-134 in 2018 with a lot more than that and the officer was still pushing me to get a joint sponsor. He accepted it, but I had a little difficulty with it.
You might need to reach out for a joint sponsor.

It means nothing they dont decide if and when the embassy opens....they are open for business not the embassy

Bikeordeath reacted to geowrian in Available Interview Date (K1)
Manila lets you self-schedule on the CGI federal website. I the date's available, you can pick it. But there is a limit to how many times you can reschedule before you have to pay the MRV fee again.

Bikeordeath reacted to Greenbaum in After I get case number from nvc
Nothing goes to the NVC or USCIS now. Prepare your documents for the interview. PLEASE READ, READ, and READ the links I provided to you. I can't help if you are not willing to read the links.

Bikeordeath reacted to Greenbaum in After I get case number from nvc
The guides do not address the OP's question. He is at the interviewing stage and so he is bound by the embassy's instructions. Each embassy is different in how they proceed once the record has arrived. It's near impossible to list each and one of those as a guide so hence there is no guides for the interview stage.

Also, there is a sub-forum for the Philippines here on VJ that you should be a part of. It's a good place to read what others are experiencing which will only prepare you for your interview.

Manila US Embassy states that a scanned copy of the signed I-134 is fine, if you don't have the original.

Bikeordeath reacted to Greenbaum in After I get case number from nvc
Your confused because you are not taking the time to read the valuable information that I provided. Read the links and all will unfold in front of you. I-134, Affidavit of Support is a document that is required at the interview and is NOT to be sent to USCIS or you can expect a delay. The instructions and document requirements for the application I-129f, Petition for Alien Fiancé(e) does NOT require a I-134, Affidavit of Support when you filed. Good luck and stay engaged.

Bikeordeath reacted to Just Paul in After I get case number from nvc
Clearly you are not taking the time to read the K1 Guide. I-134 is provided at the consulate interview. It does not need to be an original.

Manila will send you NOTHING. Go to the embassy website, everything thing you need to know and do is already posted online

Which embassy? Each is different in what they require.
We need a little housekeeping on your end. Many of our answers are predicated on the information you supply in your profile. When we look at the left column and can't determine your timeline OR your Embassy it's hard for us to give you a factual answer. Our answers will sometimes be tailored to a specific Embassy hence the reason for you to complete your profile. If you look at the profile of others here, they have a flag for their country, so it makes it easy for us to reply as we can quickly determine their Embassy. The country that should be used is the country where the interview will take place.
So, if you could help yourself out and complete your profile that sure would help us out when we want to reply to your question with factual information.

Country and Visa Type: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1RyJiLo_7WTmqvkzXXqLuOlVHm9oyhAES/view?usp=sharing
Once you finish that then return and you will see a flag in your profile. Select it and see what wonderful information will open up for you.
Thanks
