While using this webiste during my visa journey, I learnt a lot from a person here, whose nickname is Sarge. 
He had to deal with a lot of issues at the beigning of the K1 process. it was disheartening to see that we all moved foward towards the next step with an embassy interview, and visa issued, and entering to the US, yet his fiancee couldnt make it until several months after us. 
Sarge dealt with the process graciously. 
I think he made me realise how important is to take care of our mental health, and to take care of ourselves during this process. 
We need to be well and with good standing and good energy for getting a proper job, and for integrating into the american culture.
I feel the pain, I feel the anxiety, I feel the sadness, I feel the angerness I know ... but let´s take care of ourselves. 
We deserve it.

Shiran, thanks for always being a voice of reason.  We plan to show up with some photos, copies of utility statements, bank statement, proof she is an authorized user on credit cards, health insurance card, originals of birth certificates/divorce decrees, our certified marriage certificate and passports.  Just for the heck of it.  Who knows how much of this we will need when the time comes.  Everything we bring will be organized into a nice binder.
 
Other than that we're bringing our physical bodies and will answer questions as asked.  After the interview we're going to the North End for some coffee and cannolis.

My status just changed for the employment card to card being produced.

On December 20, 2019, we mailed your new card for your Form I-765, Application for Employment Authorization,

Our status changed on a Monday.  We got our interview appointment letter in the mailbox that following Saturday.  So, for us, it was 5 days.

Thanks for the 411.  Nice to get some perspective from someone who has been there recently.  Maybe a decent 'sneak preview' for those of us who are coming up on our interview dates.
 
That JFK building looks old so at first blush I'd almost believe it was cold as ice in there no matter what the thermostat displays.  My lady will be pleased.  It almost always seems like she has a bit of a chill.  I get the feeling she could be on fire and still ask me for a sweater.
 

Congrats!  I do have a few questions if you don't mind answering:
 
1)  Was this at the John F. Kennedy building at Government Center?  I am not sure if all interviews are held there which is why I am asking
 
2)  You indicate you were called in separately (him, then you).  What about the couples that were called before you (if any)?  Were they called in together?  Or were they called in separately?
 
3)  It doesn't seem like you were interviewed for too long.  How long was the interview?  Did they ask for documents such as birth certificate and translation, marriage certificate, utility bills, bank statements, etc.?
 
4)  You said your husband got picked in a very intimidating way.  Sorry if this has already been asked but can you define intimidating?
 
 
 

Yes, this has happened to several of us.  We suspect there was a systems upgrade recently and the text of the message that used to show has changed.  You may notice there has been no change in the timestamp of the last update.  So if your last update was on November 1, for example, it remains November 1.

I was born in Russia and think Russia is great country also. But not perfect. No country in the world is perfect. America isn't perfect either. It just happens in life - people move, leave homeland, relocate. It's normal in modern world, and all governments should seek ways to make immigration more convenient, easy and not stressing for people.

I understand your frustration but rather than calling the process inhumane I would sooner say its outdated.
 
As an IT professional of over 30 years and someone who has worked on hundreds of integrations between private and public entities, I can say it is appalling how poorly our various government agencies integrate with each other (some don't seem to integrate at all).  It's living in a 'bearskins and stone knives' existence in the 21st century.
 
Furthermore, I have observed some possible security concerns when it comes to PII (personally identifiable information).  It would require more analysis to validate but it does makes me blanch.
 
There surely are better ways of adjudicating the process, protecting against fraud, etc. without burdening people as does happen in the current state of affairs.  The bureaucratic red tape is just crazy.  A big part of the problem is government agencies tend to operate in this 'we've always done it this way' philosophy and there are certain segments of our population that aid and abet this mentality by rationalizing it (in some cases unwittingly).
