33 days after NOA2 our case was finally sent from Nebraska to NVC. It was sent yesterday and updated online today.

I don't think NVC has received my case yet. I am expecting the online status to eventually change to "case was sent to the department of state". 6-8 weeks is normal waiting time for the case to be sent to NVC, I believe, even though it sometimes can go quicker. And then you have to wait for NVC to send you your case number. That's yet some weeks.

Today around 4pm my time, which was about 5am, early morning in US.
I got an email saying, we have taken an action has been taken on your case.
 
I logged in the new uscis account. And there it was y'all.... 🙏🏼🙂😭🌷🙏🏼  Old account not updated, still says case received.

You need 3x your household size ($80k) to qualify on assets alone (zero income) 
 
They apply 3x the difference between actual and required income.
 
CO’s going to want to see current bank statements etc but you should be fine.

The message you got is a standard message NVC includes anytime income ALONE is not sufficient.  The Consular Officer ALWAYS makes the final decision on the "Public Charge" issue.  If your liquid assets are clearly sufficient, there's nothing to worry about.  You would get the same notice if you had a million bucks in your savings account, but insufficient current income.

Cash is converted into income by a ratio 3:1 so it only counts as less than $40,000 of income. Not sure what’s size of your household. The $60,000 in equity, is that in the house that you guys will live in? If yes, it doesn’t hold much water because what’s you’re gonna do, sell the house? Then where’re you gonna live? In essence, I think they will only look at the cash. And yes, the interviewing officer will make the final decision about the financials. Meeting the threshold does NOT mean an automatic “pass”. The CO looks at the totality of circumstances to make a decision (where you will live for example New York City or San Francisco is much much expensive than rural Wyoming, your health, do you have any medical conditions, .... all of that together).

I received an email notification saying they took an action on the case then I called uscis and they told me it was approved and within a week I received regular mail.

I now see RFE's sent out yesterday for July 30th, so they are working on all of July cases. I am sure that each case being unique they start reviewing applications, running background checks, and then have to rotate back through once they get results from checks. Every case will need background checks based on different variables, and then they are dealing with lots of different countries in cooperation. This is why some folks are still waiting that are end of June etc. or early July.
