No guaranteed timeline.  Wait for the CEAC case status to turn "Issued".  After "Issued", the passport is typically released for delivery/pick-up within 2 weeks.

I just want to update everyone in case anyone has a similar experience. The family book did not need to be translated. I did upload all pages of it, including the front and back cover and it was also submitted to the consular officer at the interview.

I didn't know you could ask for an expedite if you have a job offer in the US. I do have a job offer that will expire on July 12th. I'm still fairly new at these forums, an apology, but can you point me in the right direction on how to ask for an expedite?
So far I've seen that you send an email to "NVCExpedite@state.gov", is there a template? do you attach the job offer?
Or do you use the Inquiry Form on the website.
    Thank you.

Unfortunately, the way the NVC works, this will delay you quite a bit. I had the same thing happen to me, and when I contacted the NVC, they told me that the newly updated documents would be reviewed according to the time frames stated on the NVC website. So basically you're at the back of the line, and it'll be another 37-38 days before they look at this new document.

For your reference, I submitted my docs near end of April and got DQ today.

I did not, only an email that there was a new message for me, which just turned out to be a request for more documents

"Please upload all 2020 W2 and 1099s" haha

I want to say it's pretty accurate. I submitted my documents around the same time as you and just had my AOS documents tagged as "accepted'

Thank you. That’s what a friend of mine said as well. I just wanted to be certain. I wasn’t looking forward to paying $20 a page to have the book translated. 🤣

Hannah711 reacted to Mike E in Filling out ds 260
Fill out the bulk of the DS-260 online for your husband. Do not hit submit as this needs to be done from outside the USA by the beneficiary.

Once you've got most of the stuff entered, you walk your husband through each screen. For my fiancee (K-1 visa app, hence DS-160, I did screen shots of each screen, sent them to her over a messenger (FB, viber, whatsApp, iMessage, or whatever you two use) with explanations. In our case, her English was fine, but she didn't have a PC, and so she was doing this at a friend's office. They printed all my screen shots and pour over them for an hour, then we had a video call to walk through the final steps. She then hit the submit button and of course the rest is history.

BTW sorry you got such a rude initial reply. Please make use of the user ignore feature of VJ. This will enhance your experience. And thus you will avoid the temptation to escalate.

How does my spouse (beneficiary) fill out ds 260 form if he is not fluent in English?

Hannah711 reacted to aaron2020 in Joint sponsor question
    Hi,

You will need to file an I-864 with a household count of 3.

The Joint Sponsor files a separate I-864 counting his family, any LPR he has sponsored, and the intending immigrant.  If the person is single and never sponsored anyone before, then his household count would be two; himself and the intending immigrant.

You can not combine income with the Joint Sponsor.

Ever since the contractor furlough (tier 1) in September, the phones and inquiries are also taken by those processing the folders without admin support. Tier 2 officers are doing everything and no wonder there are massive growth in processing times.
the whole system is effectively gridlocked.

I feel your frustration, especially that Nebraska seemingly manages its workload. Fingers crossed you get the noa2 soon.

We got no info since filing Potomac, priority date Nov 2019), until a phone call in June.
We are speechless as Potomac SC had jumped priority dates and get totally off the track in 2020, I130 processing times from 5-7 to 10-12, and just recently (with Sept update) to 19-24 months.
By now it’s impossible to get a hold of a human being. The online account doesn’t offer any info, they made it into a boilerplate (removed the profile update date, which was likely totally meaningless anyway but perhaps inferred someone looked at the case).

Amazing the transparency. I notice USCIS is pushing the public further and further away.
