How accurate is the processing times?

I sent all of our financial forms, DS260, etc on April 14th 2021, 5 weeks ago. I checked the website and as of today it says they are reviewing applications sent in on April 10th. I check each monday to see how far along they have updated.  How accurate is this processing time?  Do you think they could get to us even though we sent it in 4 days passed the time frame they are working on?  Just wondering how long this usually takes. Thanks everyone!

Not very accurate.

Processing times are merely estimates

Immigration journey is not: fast, for the faint at heart, easy, cheap, for the impatient nor right away. If more than 50% of this applies to you, best get off the bus.

I want to say it's pretty accurate. I submitted my documents around the same time as you and just had my AOS documents tagged as "accepted'

The accepted mine on Friday! I did have to resend in one of my documents so we will so how long that takes them.

Nice, they've only accepted my AOS just now today so hoping they accept the civil documents soon.

I also had to resend my W2s and 1099 lol

Oh awesome! Did you get an email when they accepted it?

I did not, only an email that there was a new message for me, which just turned out to be a request for more documents

"Please upload all 2020 W2 and 1099s" haha

I hope you get good news soon!!

Thank you for the reference.

So NVC's latest times were "Current case review time: As of 24-MAY-2021, we are reviewing documents submitted to us on 17-APR-2021."

Since the 17-APR was a Saturday, those submissions likely weren't added to the backlog until Monday 19-APR.

Your timeline says you were DQ on 25-MAY-2021 when you summited your documents 21-APR-2021 so a total of 1 day faster than the posted time.  Which is further anecdotal evidence the document review timeframes on the NVC web site may be extremely accurate.

I'm just trying to divine when they will get to my cases.😁

Unfortunately, the way the NVC works, this will delay you quite a bit. I had the same thing happen to me, and when I contacted the NVC, they told me that the newly updated documents would be reviewed according to the time frames stated on the NVC website. So basically you're at the back of the line, and it'll be another 37-38 days before they look at this new document.

Any word on this at all? I'm hoping/expecting that I hear about my documents in the next 2 weeks as I filed 24-APR. Worried that they'll ask me to re-upload one of them.

They got to me before the estimated time however I had to resubmit one document. From what others have said it will go to the back of the line and basically starting all over again. 🙃

Yikes, that's what I'm worried about. I'm confident most of my stuff will be accepted this or next week, but it's gonna be a killer if they ask for extra info or an updated document.
