It is not incorrect. They will always assess whether or not someone is likely to be a public charge (form or not) and some consulates are already asking for the form whether you were DQ before Feb 24 or not. They do not always ask for the form though (they’re never required to look at anything you bring) and it is still in the best practice of everyone to fill it out in the case it is asked for at the interview, as it’s better to have and not need than need and not have. Always be under the assumption that they will ask

LilyJ got a reaction from Ollie7 in Visiting US while I-130 is in process?
My husband visited for a month a while back on VWP. He was pulled into secondary questioning for a while, probably as he wasn’t working in his country at the time, but ultimately he was let in after he mentioned we are going through the visa process to the second officer (first officer didn’t give him a chance to say anything after he said no about work!). But in the end of it all they let him through and stamped his passport. Coming from the UK I don’t think you should have too much trouble so long as you are honest though of course anything can happen

You have to be with him. US petitioner either has to arrive at the same time as, or before (and be in US when) beneficiary arrives

LilyJ got a reaction from pushbrk in Is I-944 required if your case is already being referred to the consulate?
I944 is only for adjusting status. The form you need is DS5540, and it is applicable to everyone regardless of filing. Whether they will actually ask you for it at the interview, is another story, but it would be a good idea to fill it out and take it to the interview anyways just in case

I finally have good news to share!

    We’ve been DQ’d!

    Second submission: 01/15/20
    DQ: 03/12/20

Now I’m just hoping coronavirus travel restrictions don’t ruin anything...already if I go to Argentina to be with my husband before his interview I will be in quarantine for two weeks. Hope everyone stays healthy and safe and we all get DQs ASAP!!!!

@LilyJ too! I know you just got your interview letter, I hope this doesn't cause a big damper on travel plans after the interview. Thinking of all you effected by the temporary travel restrictions ❤️

LilyJ got a reaction from Inita in I-864W or I-485?
That only applies to those doing adjustment of status not needing it, since your son isn’t adjusting status use the I864w as normal

Click on the message once and leave it open for a few minutes for it to show up
It might be a request for an additional document since there was no DQ message
