I was able to get health insurance for my Wife and her daughter without a SSN. They did ask for their SSN several times but told the carrier they dont have one yet. You cannot be denied health insurance just because you dont have a SSN

This is so political. We are all just pawns in the big November chess match. Do they really think we are to believe that at one moment they are broke and then the next they have a surplus? Who is the CFO forecasting and managing those accounts? We are talking hundreds of millions of dollars. What a freaking sideshow.   Mark my word, Nov 4th. 70% of our countries problems will change 180 degrees.  

This is all politic BS. It will change once each parties agendas are accomplished or defeated.  We as Americans are just pawns in the big chess match. Sacrifice a few lives, jobs, loved ones, economics, ect,ect,ect…. all for NOV 3rd.  Don't think so, one is naively blinded.

Good Hack.   Just follow Greenbaums “seatbelt” instructions. 

You have to wait for your case to be shipped to the appropriate consulate/embassy. Then you will get your P3 packet which details doing your DS-160, getting your confirmation code from that, scanning and e-mailing the embassy. They will then send you P-4 info that gives you instructions on scheduling your medical and interview.

Yes i had to reschedule the interview after my fiance received the packet.
Big waste of money and time.  Recommended to wait until you have the packet 3 before scheduling the interview.

Ok...so our case is also showing   "In transit"  whohooo!   Can someone tell me what I/we need to do in order to call and schedule the Interview and Medical?  I know we should wait for the packet3/4 info.  Will we need to send the DS-160 and pay the interview fees before they will book the interview?  I understand in Bogota they want your interview date in order to schedule the Medical exams?  Or if this is already explained somewhere else....please point me to the thread...Thnx

No it will not say "ready". While you are pending a shipment date it will say "at NVC".  Once your file is packaged for DHL You'll see your status change to 1) "in transit" - shipment is in the air or soon will be at the embassy, 2) "received" - physical case file is at the Embassy and 3) "ready" - your case is ready to schedule and complete your interview per your embassy instructions.  These everyone's current state or status to their case file once they have received the case number.

Received our NVC Case Number over the phone today. He said they just entered it today! Forgot to ask when they received our case though to update our timeline!

Yes...I travel to Colombia on the 22nd ( i bit shorter than you) one last time before the interview.  Our Case should be at our embassy a week before I arrive.

That is great information! Thank you for letting me know! I will call everyday this week. I hope we are on next weeks shipment! I fly to Manila to see Lorie on the 18th of this month! Maybe our Case will be there before I get there.....

That's kind of confusing. I think you wanted to say "if you get a case number assigned by Wed this week your file will ship on the 14th". Any day after Wednesday that you get your case number assigned you will more than likely will ship on May 28th or 29th.
 
If you call to get your case number be sure to ask when it was assigned so you can determine if it ships or not based on IBE2CA explanation.
 
 

I had it yesterday and I was approved!!!! So exciting 😃😃

Hi I just did them last week, when you call to get the appointment they tell you what dates they have available, for the doctor I used he has available 1 week before my interview. But I think with kids they schedule  before because the results for their exams take a bit longer. You can call the doctor you wanna use and ask the assistant this questions.

It's almost certainly okay for the K-1 interview in Bogota (in the sense that I'm not going to look it up, but almost every embassy/consulate accepts documents in the local official language and English).
 
I'd normally mention that any documents that you'll also need for AOS (which does include the beneficiary's birth certificate) will need translations then, but finding someone to translate Spanish language documents in California is probably not difficult. 

We also received our case number today.  I called 3 days in a row and spoke to the same lady "Mandy" very nice. Today I waited 7 mins at 12:45pm PST.  I gave her the receipt number and she immediately asked for my name and birth date.  She says....good news and  gave me the case number and asked to verify my email and my fiancee's email and said they will ship to the Embassy and we both will be receiving an email.  
  I believe our case will go out on the 5/14-15 batches.  Arrive in Bogota by the 17th (mileage may vary).  Im estimating an interview week of June 10th or June 17th.  (again in Greenbaums words "mileage may vary")    One Step Closer.

20 min wait on hold...2:30 PM PST....Question:  Can you tell me if theres a case number yet?   "Its in the building, but no number yet"  I asked how long she thinks..."well could take 8 weeks, but call back next week"  hint hint.

Congrats...On hold now...8 mins..hoping for same result (luck)  Make the weekend better!  Wont hold my breath!

Called NVC first thing this morning and was advised there was no case number yet assigned. Something told me to call again though in the late morning so I did, and by that time one was assigned! The rep provided both our NVC case number and invoice ID (eligibility letter still pending, to be sent via e-mail). I know our documents likely won't be included in next Tuesday's shipment, but hey you can always hope right?  Inching ever closer to the finish line!

Sarge...you are absolutely correct again!!!  I called this morning the 0888 number and a guy named Josh picked up the call in less than 1minute. I asked if I could check to see if they received our case yet and gave him the receipt number.  He said yes, we received yesterday April 24th but give us a couple days to assign a case number. He suggested I should call back anytime but give us a few days to process.  Very nice guy! 

Our case was received yesterday 4/24  and said our case number will be processed soon!
