I don’t blame him, poor man. Your guys case takes longer than most ones, and I am truly sympathetic to you. I am sure that  this AP after DQ is just a bureaucratic procedure caused by your request to change embassies. Why did you request it, by the way?

Just do nothing. After 1 year of inactivity at NVC stage the case dies out.
P.S. Sorry it happened to you😞

Ooops wrong thread, you will have a weight issue potentially assuming you are flying in with gold.

Most people set up a US bank account and move their money over electronically.

Nope. NVC did not review the submitted docs of my stepson for a long time. Once they finally did, they granted an IL for my stepson, I emailed Expedite to NVC, and 2 days later got the same interview date for my husband.
Thank you so much for your good wishes!

It would be a waste of time/money. She needs to go the immigration route, not the family law one. She needs to fight in the immigration court, in front of the immigration judge.

OP, listen: I know of a similar case where a marriage ended in annulment based on "green-card fraud" even though a U.S. husband refused to sign I-864 and help with AOS to his foreign wife and there was never the "green- card" in the first place. The decision of the family court judge was based purely on allegations of the U.S. husband. Wife fought, and lost. She was placed in removal proceedings. Ultimately, however, she was granted a permanent resident status based on abuse. She had plenty of proof to demonstrate that she was a victim of abuse. And it was the immigration judge's decision to grant her an LPR status.

I advise you to hire a good immigration lawyer experienced in VAWA. If you know you are right, you should fight.

I agree with the last post. Pregnancy hormones make a woman vulnerable and over-sensitive. Add to that immigration to a new country (cultural shock, maybe). Add to that a new marriage (the first year in every marriage is the hardest). Add to that an international union, different cultures, mentality, etc.
OP, have a mercy on your new wife. Remember that she carries your baby. Think about the reasons of why you are together in the first place. Give your marriage a chance, go see a counselor, have a little get away with your wife, buy her a little present, a little gift, cook a dinner with candles, or take her out to a nice place, tell her how much you love her, respect her as a mother-to-be, understand how hard it is for her to go through this life transition, and that you believe in you two, in your marriage. Instead of crying and asking how to quit just be a man, take responsibility, do something positive and constructive to save your family, fight for it!
    Good luck!

We got DQ’d on 10/30 and IL’d on 11/14 for my stepson , and DQ’d on 10/1 and IL’d on 11/18 for my husband. Embassy in Paris. Interview date 12/4 for both CR1 and CR2.
Once NVC allocates your case with an available date for interview, they send you an email (Interview letter) and CEAC status changes from “At NVC” to “In Transit”. It happens on the same day.

I know, it feels so unfair that some Embassies are busy, and some are not that much. And for us waiting for IL was the hardest part of the process. We felt "stuck" and unable to make any plans for the very near future. It's just a hurry up and wait game, really. I wish all of you who are waiting for interviews, to get good news soon!

Yes, as your husband is from the same area it does make sense to pick up his passport faster. Mine is from Perpignan, so he will have to wait till the passport arrives home.
But your information may be useful for those who live not far from Paris.
Bon voayage to your hubby! Very happy for you! The adventure is almost over!
