I just wanted to tell my story. So here it is
My husband had his interview at Ankara Embassy, Turkiye. Everything was great except the VO got our co-sponsor household . The co sponsor was my dad. He was given a white slip saying find a new Co sponsor. We were absolutely crushed and left in shock as well as our attorney. We gathered more evidence up to prove that the household was only three and that my father made more then plenty to sponsor him. We wrote a cover letter explaining the guidelines ,along with a copy of the poverty guidelines. We resubmitted everything and emailed the embassy. In just one day we recieved an email to send his passport along with the co sponsors tax papers and aos. In just two days we recieved the email saying he was approved and now has his passport in hand all within 5 days. If you know the visa officer made a mistake then address it. They are only human. He will be coming by Oct 15. Good luck to everyone out. This visa journey is now over. I'm so happy and will continue to pray for those of you still waiting.

Your interview past already? I am not sure abt that, but it seems like is a good sign. Good luck
Yes August 26 we had ours . He recieved a rfe. the visa officer got the household size wrong. So we resubmitted all documents plus more evidence. We're hoping this will be approved

Hi. I know it's been awhile since I've been on. I have a question . We uploaded everything to the ceac again with more evidence. E mailed the embassy also. Yesterday we recieved a email from them. They said please email your passport along with your co sponsors tax forms. Which they already have so anyways I'm just wondering is this a good sign?

And my opinion is that YOUR opinion was so vague, it was not "helpful"

Maybe? Suggest? Perhaps? All in the same sentence. I gave a link to the relevant information. Note that the affidavit of support asks no questions about whether children of sponsor receive means tested benefits. "Held against"? What does that even mean in this context. The Consular Officer will evaluate the public charge concern based on the totality of circumstances available to evaluate. Information about US Citizen children's means tested benefits is not part of what is available to evaluate.
I've been through this and going through it still. I'm o lu giving my thoughts on it. My advice to him was to seek counsel as I did. I have rad things on sites that were not necessarily the exact truth. I'm telling her what my attorney said. You and your children can be on means tested benefits. It the beneficiary that can not and VO takes in THE WHOLE CIRCUMSTANCES . But I can't see it a problem over insurance. Again o ly giving my opinion just as you gave your link.

If the petitioner is a US citizen and her children are they are entitled to those benefits. It shouldn't be held against her or the beneficiary. I would think if she get those benefits that co sponsor would be necessary. I would maybe suggest talking with an attorney perhaps.

Just wanted to update everyone. So the VO got the household wrong not only that .. He said my husband's passport was not valid and it is. It's valid until June 26? Unbelievable.. anyways our attorney resubmitted everything. With a cover letter explaining everything. We are now waiting for a reply. The attorney believes that everything should go well and he is baffled by the mistakes made by the embassy.. anyone have any clue on what the aprox. Wait the for resubmitting an Aos to the embassy ?...

I am just trying to get an idea about how long it takes to get a reply from the Embassy. They had the household wrong for my co sponsor. And we had to resubmit paperwork and write a letter and showing evidence we are two separate household. THE. VO Also stated my husband passports not valid and it is. It's valid until June 2026.. Our attorney is baffled by what happened. So if any one's been through this can you please tell us how long it took to get an answer. Or response from the embassy after resubmitting??

Sorry to hear that. I hope it gets resolved quickly.
The embassy is wring and my attorney will be contacting them and hopefully we will have a visa issued next week. We are not to be counted as one household. He is alone in sponsoring him . Not all 5 of us.. thank for your kind words

Wow! That’s crazy. We are waiting for Cairo as well. CC may 28 and priority is oct 2018. Cairo is slow
Im upset. Could sime explain how household for a vo sponsor works. I live seperately in my own apartment with our 2 kids.. and filed my own taxes... My father lives in his home with my mother... how is the CO COMING up with my father has 5 ppl to account for and does not meet the income requirements. I was told my NVC... And my attorney both he only needed to meet the income requirements for his household plus my husband and I know he makes enough money for that. Just devasted. The CO gave a paper saying come back with a new AOS for Co sponsor .. I need help. I think he's assuming we all live together and we don't

Has anyone had documents that were uploaded on the ceac disappear then reappear then disappeared again. Is this a system glitch??? I've uploaded what the embassy requested but some of the ones they requested would not upload for me because it was already there?? I put in other but it specifically says to upload them under thier CATAGORY ... ???

You are making it a big deal! Just have them fax it to you or your dad directly. If you are concern of “privacy info” just wait by the fax machine as the IRS fax it immediately when you call. Or else your dad might get an 221g by the embassy and will have to provide it anyways and will delay the process.
The attitude of saying “they will just get what he got” is the wrong way of going about it.
It's not my dad applying for the visa it's my dad co sponsoring my husband. He is old and set in his way I can not change the way he is only try to work with him and his old views. It is a big deal. We have kids and we haven't seen my husband in nearly two years.. I've a week really to figure it out. Because of his view on things.
